PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Has anyone tried out at a local casting call? How did it go, what do they do? Do they weigh you and measure your height????

OK. You HAVE seen the show, haven't you? Tyra and Co. make big fools out of those delusional women. Consider Bree. Despite the drama over a granola bar, she made it to the final four, but Bree did not get an agent, has not (so far as I've heard) worked as a model at all.

Exactly right. This is a show for people who want to be on television, not people who want to be professional models.

My daughter went to the open auditions in Little Rock yesterday and was asked to come for a callback today at 10:00. They didn't weigh or measure them, just asked them their height & weight. She went back today at 10:00 and as of 1:30, NO ONE had been seen yet. She's a college student and isn't thrilled that they are wasting so much of her time but I guess she was going to wait it out. They were supposed to take pictures and walk in high heals today but I don't know how things went yet.

I'm pretty sure as they get closer to the finals, the measurements and weights will be verified. Although I wouldn't be surprised if not. None of the producers are fashion industry professionals. Any real agency is going to check your measurements (and probably your weight) first thing.
