Spokesperson" 05-10-07, 12:13 PM (EST) "Natasha, what a tool" Well, I hope Tyra and panel are proud of themselves for saying all three girls were wrong about Natasha once they see the phone jackoff portion of the show from this week. I have a friend who lived in Russia for a decade, and he said a huge percentage of the women over there have had to become prostitutes because the economy is that bad. Of course we all know the cliche about Russian mail-order brides, and I think that is what we have here. I really kind of understand a girl has to do what a girl has to do -- and I realize Natasha is probably looking for a way out of her marriage of convenience by making her own money -- but Natasha seems a little too into the whole porn thing, like maybe this is a choice, not a necessity. In the beginning the panel noted she had a predisposition for porn poses. Her only decent photo was a porn shot. It was grotesque, IMO, with her lips curled like a horse's -- as if they're not pronounced enough. Eww. Anyway, my theory is that Natasha had a bad review because of being sick and figured she was getting cut, as she should have been long ago for not being a good model, and she played her trump card, which is to let pornographers all over the world know that she would be amenable to a contract. I mean, c'mon, what else could that phone thing have been about? I have no doubt she'll be in Playboy and then later, porn movies, as soon as her contract with ATM expires. No doubt. But Please, Please do not make that trashy girl a Top Model. I do see her being consistant in her personality the whole show through so far, so I think this is just the way she is. If you don't like her, that is one thing, but like the other three girls, if they do not like you, then they say you are 1)a ##### (as they called Renee), 2)a Whiner (Brittany), 3)Fake (Natasha). Get over this, that is the way she is, if you don't like her, FINE. Hidden Agenda? This is is the biggest joke. What hidden agenda? To take over the world? To murder the President? Also, I don't think Natasha will be in the finals, but we shall see. Arranged marriages are not always a happy thing or desired by the children, but that depends on circumstances and individuals. Numerous people throughout the world are completely satisfied with the practice. But hey, I guess since it's not YOUR way of doing things, it must be pure evil. It's also incorrect to say that there's no personal choice in arranged marriage. It's not always forced. Arranged means the parents choose the spouse, there's not NECESSARILY any force in it. As for no pictures of her husband and child, what, is she supposed to flaunt them and exploit them like Renee? Maybe she wants to keep that part of her life separate, since those girls have been nasty to her-- despite the fact she has consistently been kind and congratulatory and non-confrontational? MY problem with Natasha is that she just doesn't GET IT! She is madly, deeply in love with herself, and THAT is not a language barrier thing. Being young and from a poor country and married to an older American man has other reasoning's other than the "mail-order" bride theory. Did anyone consider that maybe the two of them met through mutual friends or because he was in Russia for business? It is on Natasha's profile that she was a college student so is it possible that she was receiving her education in America when she met this man? Those theories are just as equally, if not more, reasonable. As far as Natasha not having pictures of her husband and child....who's to say that she doesn't? Natasha hasn't exactly been treated all that well and any interest shown for her has been more out of gossip. Natasha isn't oblivious to this and may not have any desire to share what is special to her with people that are rude to her. Natasha has had conversations with both her husband and child on the phone, so clearly they exist and why does she need indulge a bunch of catty biatches by "proving" what she knows she has? I wouldn't. Also, her not wearing a wedding ring means squat. Some people just don't prefer to do so. Or maybe her husband couldn't afford a ring. There is also the possibility that Natasha choose to keep it home. I doubt the contestants are allowed to wear their rings during photo shoots and maybe Natasha figured that it would be safer at home. The point is, every season the girls always find someone to target. In the beginning, it was Renee, then Brit, Natasha, Jaslene kind of took some heat. Even Sarah, Jael, Diana, and Whitney were given attitude by some of the girls. Natasha is a threat. She is very photogenic and personable. The judges love her and the fact that she works hard in this competition.... makes the other girls catty towards her. Even the way Natasha handles criticism is excellent. Imagine being treated as an outcast the entire time and being put down in front of the judges and still standing tall and coming up with an excellent explanation to it all? Not many people could push through that without crying or getting extremely p!ssed. Also, I really don't think the porno bit is really accurate. Many people talk on the phone with their spouse in that manner, especially being away from each other for a long period of time. Being "overly" sexy isn't hard to do and many contestants in the past have been accused of it. It was common in America during Western expansion, and a common way for women to immigrate from other countries. She said she was (well she has given two ages) 18, then she said 20 years old when she married him, him being 40 at the time. She has been married and in this country now for two years. Two years, the time it is safe here in the U.S. to leave their American husbands without being deported.
