LAST EDITED ON 04-05-09 AT 10:51 PM (EST) Ok...this episode's boardroom was ridiculous!! First of all, the double elimination because both teams sucked was obvious. My whole family saw that one coming. But on to the more annoying stuff... (1) Firing T-Boz: Trump has been RAVING about Tionne, especially since she was the winning PM last week. He clearly was trying to find a way NOT to fire Melissa and wanted to keep Brandi cause of his obsession with her beauty. So what if he fired some other guy for volunteering to be fired?? She was asked to by Melissa!! She did everything right in the challenge and was still fired. (2) Firing Kloe: Ok...as much as I thought Kloe was absolutely a joke and had no point in the competition, her reason for being fired was COMPLETELY unfair. She owned up to her DUI, was honest about her reasons for missing the show last week, and was still punished! She is even taking a class because of her mistake and he STILL didn't spare her. If this were a real job, she could sue for wrongful dismissal. He should not be able to hold her past against her, ESPECIALLY when the information was accessible before allowing her on the show. (3) STOP TALKING ABOUT WOMEN AND THEIR BEAUTY: Yes, we know you love women and think a lot of them are gorgeous. Yes, we realized the woman in Kotu's video was very attractive and had a great body. PLEASE stop talking about every woman you see like a piece of meat. Don't you think your children feel uncomfortable? Especially Ivanka. Trump makes me sick. First off, you are going to get a warning from the board administrators...for posting results of the show before it airs on the West Coast. Then especially giving the results in the first line. I will add I think the rule is stupid, because if you really don't want to know what happened then don't come here. But, I agree and disagree. I think there was good reason for TBoz to be fired. She was a little arrogant in thinking Trump would not fire her. Trump hates when people get arrogant with him. As for Kloe being fired for that reason that is just wrong. Kloe came on this show to win money for her charity...she did not come on this show to be humiliated for some thing she did off the show before it aired on national television. I did not know she was arrested for DUI.....but now know. Donald should've kept his mouth shut about that one. I was think that Trump might fire someone because no one of the four spoke out about how bad an idea their team had. I thought Trump would say...it's easy to hang the project manager out to dry and that he wants the teams to be more vocal and wants every participatong. Very weird episode. Not one team got the target audience or listened to the clients. The swearing of the one "little person" was strangely out of place. And the bubbles on Clints totally killed the original meaning. I do laundry, unfortunately. I do not find sex or cursing offensive, but I was offended by both teams'(one team's intended) exploitation of little people, and I don't care if the product was "small and mighty". How about a kid or a little dog or a Shawn Johnson type, be creative people! As far as the All executives were concerned, I don't think they understood their OWN task. The video had to be kind of rique and edgy, or people wouldn't click on it or forwrad it to their friends. And don't be so sexist. EVERYONE does laundry, and women can tolerate all kindsa humor. As far as firing Khloe, that stunk. I was prepared to haaate her before I saw this show because I found her sister to be spoiled, pouty, and lazy on Dancing with the Stars. But, I think she has been surprisingly mature and pleasant on this show. And she is a young woman who owns a successful business. She made a terrible mistake, but as far as we can tell, she is owning up to that mistake, including choosing a substance- related charity. Donald: if everyone held their past mistakes against them, you would not be married, and there would be no Barron Trump. But, Clint chose a hot model, so you didn't fire him. As far as the All executives were concerned, I don't think they understood their OWN task. That's what stood out to me early: a serious case of buzzword disease. 'We know they're important, even if we don't understand just what they are or why people care. So go make one, and we'll be sure not to recognize it as what we wanted when we see the results.' This doesn't change the fact that Kotu's result very much svcked, but Athena's effort would have at least gotten a few pass-alongs for the deliberate horror of Jesse's acting. Back when there were only a few shows being covered by these forums, there was a suggestion that posters keep their comments to the East Coast thread on show night, but now that we have so many shows on these forums, it's unrealistic to expect the few volunteer mods to be available for each and every one. But posting a public comment against the moderation here is against the guidelines - if you don't like the rules, have the courtesy to say it to us in private. We don't allow bashing of posters, and mods are posters too. Dennis was kept because his blood alcohol level provided drama, at least up until the point where it started providing potential lawsuits. And having established the Reality Temperance League at long last, Donald decided he had to keep it going by dumping Khloe. Actual firing reason: 'Did you know I really need to get the national MADD meeting in one of my casinos? They're all bankrupt, but don't tell anyone.' And Tionne? Went for drama. In small part because Donald just had to bring up The Bradford -- 'People who aren't good enough for me are more than good enough for government!' -- but mostly for drama. Donald wants Mother vs. Daughter To The Death, Or At Least To Extra Surgical Procedures. In most other seasons, Melissa would have been canned for either bringing the wrong people into the boardroom or just being at the head of a losing task. But this year, we're all about the drama, and Melissa provides, if not drama, at least moderate incompetence -- so she has to stay. (Personally, I would have hauled in Annie and cited her disruptions on every task, then crossed my fingers and packed anyway.) As Jims pointed out on the ECST, Donald can't fire Clint: he has to argue with Joan some more. Can't fire Brandi until he learns how to spell her name. Can't fire Natalie until she fixes his slice... I personally sat there and thought to myself that the Trump slipped him a note telling him to bring her in! I wouldn't be surprised in the least, either. Also wondered why Melissa chose to bring in Brandi instead of poker-lady, who is in EVERYONE'S face constantly!! What the heck? WHY didn't she use that chance to let everyone know how distracting this woman is, how she takes over every single task, and makes it her own, and will NOT listen to anyone? Doesn't make any sense what.so.ever! I agree with original poster-this episode was just out there, and I had to question myself on why I even waste my time watching someone in that postion, with that amount of power, while we little people are watching the rest of the world crumble around us....besides, what the heck is a 'viral video'-Does ANYONE know??? Viral video has been a pretty big phenomenon on the internet for a few years now. Pretty much ever since Youtube got started. You have heard of youtube, right? It might have even been around before that, but the ease of posting and sharing video clips really escalated things. Basically any video that people email or otherwise share with their friends who share it with their friends until millions of people see it in a fairly short period of time. VH1 had a show full of viral videos. Some of them even make the news or various clip shows. I know I saw that dramatic hamster all over the traditional media, not just the internet. I mean I'm not all that hip or cool or current and I've heard of them for years. Now figuring out exactly why some videos take off and get several million hits in a week isn't always clear to me, but really funny, or gross, or outrageous seems to be a major factor.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Yes, I think Clint was told to bring Khloe into the boardroom. He had been complaining about Joan and then does not even bring her back into the boardroom. Instead Khloe is brought back and Trump points his finger at her and starts acting all mighty. Good Grief. Dennis can last for weeks while he is drunk and acting like a jerk. But Khloe gets canned for a DUI? I really think Khloe and Tionne were canned for being boring and not famous enough for Trump's show. He is probably blaming them for his lower ratings. Clint is coming off as quite the @ss on this show. I never thought much about him one way or the other before this. Now I don't like him. Doing this show was probably not the best PR move for him. Trump's obsession with Brande is just creepy. Why did she have to be asked about the model's body? And why does Brian get a pass? If Joan had NOT been on his team, how much less drama might there have been. Clint's joke was funny - but not enough for what they were doing. I thought they went in the wrong direction. It should have started out with the mom & dad putting the kids to bed and then as they went to their own bedroom, the dad asking for a laundry night. Mom declines. Then the next night, same thing as dad comes out of the bathroom - mom tells him they can do the laundry - then his reply. Would have avoided the whole cheating suggestion and all. We can see from the previews for next week that again Joan has trouble getting along with someone. And she's had problems in the past episodes as well. In no particular order, my peeves re last night's episode: 1. Clint Black is an arse. Yes, I know Joan Rivers may be hard to take, but she does know what is funny and outrageous - at least do her the courtesy of listening to some ideas. Khloe and Natalie were total wimps! They were not happy with the direction their video was going, but they let Joan do all the talking and take all the heat from Clint. For that reason, either one of them deserved to go, since Trump obviously didn't want to fire Clint. Even though his idea stunk to high heaven. And he's a total arse. 2. Why did both teams think using little people would be so great? I thought it was a dumb idea when it was first broached, and then when people kept calling them midgets, I was surprised at how clueless so many of them are. 3. Neither team quite got the concept, but I agree that the All representatives don't understand the how and why that makes viral videos work. If they wanted a nice commercial with soothing music, an average mom dealing with laundry, and zero offensive language or innuendos, why not say so? Of course, no one is going to forward a boring commercial for laundry detergent to any of their friends. 4. Athena's video was funny, except that stupid stuff at the end, which didn't make any sense. 5. Why in the world did Clint decide to change from a husband and wife playfully bantering, to a cheating husband and his mistress? 6. No surprise, but Trump is so blatantly sexist it's disgusting. If I were Brande, I think I'd be trying to get fired just to get away from his leering. Creepy hair comb over stalker! 7. Okay this is the last -- lamest "reason" ever to fire two people. I don't care of Khloe is fired or not, but he should have at least tied it to her performance at the task. She did not speak up to Clint, or back up Joan in pushing for a different direction. I am totally against people driving under the influence, but I also acknowledge that sometimes we all do dumb things. The important thing is how do we handle ourselves after we've made a mistake. Khloe is attending DUI classes, and her charity benefits those struggling with addiction. It seems she's making some genuine effort to make amends. At this point, I'm only watching for Jesse James. Just finished watching the two firings makes no since none what so ever. So much I will not allow this show to come across my TV again. You had the nerve to cut throat on Khloe but ate Charles Barkley up see where this is going. He took a personal situtation with her brought it to the table knowing Khole has never made light of that bad decision why not just hang everybody's bad decisions out there and begin to fire just that way. This whole idea of the show is not decisions they make in there personal life, remember it was decisions they made concerning the task given.And you use Joan and Melissa for ratings.And what about a lady taking a project managers back Good for you Tionne The world needs more back ups like you. THat being said, mayby Clint should have taken the mud wrestling suggestion if it was still possible to arrange. A fake contest between Joan and Chloe (Gulbis migh have to don a blond wig and Joan mask and be a mud drenched stand-in if Joan is not presentable in a bikini) has much potential in for a degertant ad. Possibly with a mud drenched Joan cracking wise in an interview where she is bemoaning her problems with getting the mud out of her bikini. With Joan standing on Chloes head in a mud pit, Chloe bubbling something thru the mud, that would have viral potential. I admire Clint's hold on his temper during this. He did an admirable job of not blowing up at Joan, and abstaining from the personal attacks. Beyond absurd. And there were actually other reasons he could have used if he wanted to fire her...she didn't exactly contribute much to the team.
