"Larissa"
I've only seen two of these shows... But it's great to see that finally one of the women (Larissa) picked a guy that is as shallow as she is. I'm looking forward to seeing more women exibiting their lack of character on national TV. Keep up the good Work

Even though "Average Joe Hawaii" ended over a year ago, I still have a very hard time accepting the fact that her fake mom skit was just a tactic into believing that these poor slobs were going to get a crash course in appreciating a woman's inside! I still am trying to give Larissa a piece of my mind!

In my eyes, what she has done is unforgivable!
She not only does not practice what she preaches, she had the gall to indirectly insult my friend and ex-coworker at the
4 Queens in downtown Las Vegas, by the name of Laurainne, who looks almost exactly as Larissa's fake mom, Larissa did a 180-degree twist and went for the guy whom she considers as the best-looking on the outside! Gimme a break!

If I can successfully convince Laurainne that we are meant for each other as special friends, then I would clear my first hurdle in convincing men in general that beauty from the inside counts and it is OK not to be involved in a non-platonic relationship.

I am not quite sure what you are saying about Lauirainne, Luis xix, but I do believe in non platonic relations between man and woman, just not by like DAW `s such as Larissa- who did act very deceptively against poor Brian from Boston who was a real Honey, and had a an obvious admiration for her and what seemed as far as one can judge from a Tele show, sincere feelings for her.
It was obvious from her choice in whats his name that her thinking came from directly below her belt( If you get my drift) and rather not from her brain.I for one am glad of the great anti climax of that series-and thought she got what she deserved ! I mean woopee doo daaa, who cares- you hopped into bed with Fabio, big deal! Why was his ego so shattered I wonder?

What is on the inside really counts!

3/25/05

Laurainne is an ex-coworker at the Four Queens Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. Laurainne is the heavyset lady who looks very similar to Larissa when she was disguised as her fake mom!
My goal is just to cement my special friendship with Laurainne and let you know that Larissa actually did something good for me--she made me fight for Laurainne and convince her that we ca really be good friends, and she need not look like Larissa in real life for me to have a relationship!

In conclusion, the "Average Joe" shows need a major overhaul.
If I were the "19th average joe", I would not last five minutes with Larissa, because she is definitely not my type, nor she will accept me for who I really am!

For starters, there should be 25 eligible bachelors who vie for the woman's hand in matrimony, or just to make a serious love connection if is not for marriage. That should be the first episode. For the second week, there should be 20 remaining guys; the third week only 15 should be remaining, the fourth week, only 10. By the fifth episode, there should remain the Final Five! By the sixth and last episode, the bachelorette should definitely disguise herself, just like Larissa did in AJ2 Hawaii,Episode 7, and have a special test,(weakest-link style) to see which of these guys are not shallow at all, and can successfully convince the so-called "Big Momma" that he is serious about making a commitment with her daughter in question, and that he solemnly swears not to abruptly dump the girl or to be unfaithful to her at all! Then the so-called "Big Momma" shall unmask herself ;congratulate the winner of the show, and wish the four guys who were eliminated the very best of luck in their lives along with a consolation prize or gift for the last four "losers".
The bottom line is that the purpose of AJ is to make a serious love connection,-- NOT for the so-called winner to dump the girl, like Gil dumped Larissa. Given the fact that this took place, Average Joe 2 Hawaii was done in vain--a complete waste of time! Do I stand correct?

7. "RE: Larissa"
You are spot on Luis XIX..
What you say makes good sense..but my dillemma is when these so called Average Joes are cast and the female contestant, how do the producers know that they are in the game for the serious outcome?
Look at what happened to Larissa- sure she made the wrong choice in Gill, even though she probably Knew Brian had genuine feelings for her-she obviously went for her physical attraction, which did prove just how shallow she really was.
Another example of that was Bob from the Batchelor who quickly dumped Estella even though he acted in "love" or serious about her-and vice versa.

With a concept like Average Joe, we all assume that the average everyday guy, who is showcased on national Tv is after a long term relationship (like Brian) but that is just stereotypical, and not entirely accurate. My view is that one cannot find a marital partner all that easily, and once the glamour and the attention is off these so called reality Tv contestants then their relationships are truily tested. No lights no cameras no papparatzis-just plain old everyday living.

Do you know what I mean Luis X1X ?

Yes, I do know what you mean! What I see on TV and in real life are two totally different things! I still would love to see do-overs of AJ2 and AJ3, given the fact that in AJ3, Adam dumped Samantha! Is there a possibility of AJ4 and AJ5 airing on TV any time soon? If not, how about my show "Average Joe, Get A Life". The reason is crystal clear, I'm in my mid-30's, I still live at home with my folks, and I am trying very hard to fight of the "Paperboy Chris"* image the best that I can! If I had my show, I would definitely pick a gal who is probably 180 degrees off from Larissa in external beauty, since I have had no luck at all with women who look more like Larissa!

* Paperboy Chris-- The lead character in the 1990-1992 show Get A Life with Chris Elliott.

9. "RE: Larissa"
The problem with such externally beautiful people is that they believe they will always "look" the part. What happens to them as they begin to age and still no essential evolving relationship in their lives- a lasting one where they can grow and change together? They get left behind "on the scene" so to speak.

A few of my batchelor male cousins who are also in their mid thirties like you Luis, are also living at home with parents. In fact I think you`d be suprised at how many people still do live at home..especially since the costs of living are rising and the work is not always readily available to support living on their own. My brother moved out at 31 when he got married..I don`t see that as a huge issue in finding the "right " partner for your life.

Can I ask why you have had "no luck' with women? Surely appearance doesn`t account for everything luis XIX ?

I agree with you all the way! Like I told you, appearance is not my # 1 priority in finding a woman, even just to be in a healthy platonic (non-romantic) relationship. I am just having trouble with women in general accepting me for who I really am.
In conclusion, Laurainne, who happened to look like Larissa disguised as her fake mom, is the closest one that I consider my real friend, she has a strong personality, yet she loves me and understands me very well, we have at least two very personal things in common, she is at least 13 years older than me, but at least we have a special friendship that will last a long, long time. On the other hand, I have had four young women who were Larissa's age, and tend to look very much like Larissa on the outside, who were my neighbors across the street, yet they never said hello back when I greeted them, and they were never interested in knowing me, even in the initial stage! Conclusion, the worst Laurainne is better than the best Larissa!

11. "RE: Larissa"
Have you told Laurainne exactly how you feel about her Luis ?
Is the age difference a huge deal for you? I only ask, because you`ve mentioned it here in your post.

I sincerely believe in love, and if you have found it with a person who`s much older than you then why not? What I am refering to is the way you speak about Laurainne- you speak with great affection and admiration yet you have said you are in your mid thirties and she is 13 years your senior. Is this a problem ?

If these questions are getting too personal then feel free to PM me Luis XIX.

Always good conversing with you Luis.

Laurainne and I are just friends, she told me clearly that we are just friends, nothing more! I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever! All I have to do is to see Laurainne outside the workplace (outside the Four Queens Hotel/Casino) and convince her that our special friendship is meant to last for life!
Like I said earlier, had I been selected to be the "nineteenth average Joe" I would not last ten minutes with Larissa, if she finds out that I have a "get-a-life-Chris" lifestyle, and that I am not like the other eighteen Joes in several other aspects of life.
If I had my own show, and I would wear a special prosthetic disguise to look like my favorite actor, Chris Elliott, to try to persuade the ladies vying for my attention and affection, that there is nothing wrong with my lifestyle, would my skit have been a success, or would it have sucked all the way?
That is my major premise of my case!

Are you still lobbying these tele networks about your ideas for Average Joe-the TV program, Luis XIX ?

What is on the inside really counts!

I have tried to email NBC Average Joe to bring my ideas to the table at least three times on three different email addresses for the past 12 months or so, so far no luck whatsoever, it's either, a runaround to another organization, or I cannot get my email through stating that I have a so-called block stating that my URL link is invalid or not connected whenever I tried to email directly.
Later this week, I shall try my best to give Laurainne the best surprise of her life, when she gets off work at the 4 Queens in downtown Las Vegas, provided that no one who works with her will know that it is just my plan to cement my special friendship with Laurainne, nothing more than friendship!
I still have bad luck with women, especially the attractive ones, because either the mature women who are attractive as Dian Parkinson, or the young, attractive women, who are similar or close to Larissa Meek are only interested in whatever few dollars I may have, or if I'm self-sufficient, or if I'm totally independent, or if I hold a postion that involves power or prestige. As you can see, I have none of these qualities that most women are seeking in me!
My only major fear is total rejection, like if I am perceived to be a totally undesirable person, like Kevin Fisher, the habitual criminal played by Greg Rikaart on Y&R.
How can I convince women I'm not Kevin Fisher? I'm far from being a Kevin Fisher since I have a clean criminal record!

I hear what you are saying Luis-believe me..I really do sense your frustration..in finding a woman for a relationship of emotional value..that`s essentially what you are missing. And if I can be honest with you- You sound very negative about women-perhaps as a result of your encounters with them over the many years you have been searching for a woman- I dont really know...I can only assume by what you`ve told me..

All I can say to you Luis is when a person begins to overanalyse why they have been rejected so many times-and attaches all people into certain categorizations- then I think Its high time they did something in themselves to Change and feel good about themselves..Take control of them selves
and not let other people dictate their emotions in such a negative way..

You can go out to the beach for a dip in the ocean or a train ride to the country side for some fresh air-Feel the elements on your skin, and get back to your self Luis..do some thing completely physical..and on a regaular basis.

I hope Laurainne appreciates what a wonderful friend you really are, and just how much you care about her!
Good luck with it all Luis XIX
and for gods sake have some FUN-Luis XIX
