I agree. And speaking as a fellow TiVo Season Pass holder to Starting Over, I refuse to sit through that show as it airs. It is simply unwatchable without being able to fast forward over certain parts. Like Cassie's god-awful poetry. I made the mistake of turning it on while I got in the shower during Monday's show. I am just now getting back to my old self. I keep hearing Cassie reading her 3rd grade poems in my head..but I digress...I thought it was completely inappropriate for Rhonda to put Antonia on the spot the way she did asking her about her sexual history. If she had asked her in private that would have been one thing but to ask her in front of everybody was just plain wrong. Also, there doesn't seem to be any real discussion of values or context as to when and where to have sex. Tell me, how do you have the biggest hoes ever to come through SO *shout out to Jodi and Christie* giving anybody love advice? How exactly does that work..And another thing..Is it now a prerequisite that to come into the SO house that you have to be sexually indescrete, chain smoke, be some sort of an addict, and have a terminated pregnancy in your past? With Niambi's admission this week, makes one wonder if there's a not-so-hidden agenda coming to the surface this season..

What makes a whore?
Sommer was dancing as she was instructed to dance by the guy? Or both Cassie (at age 23-her words) and Jodie (age 30 her words cause she said this is why she stopped dating) getting pregnant and NOT knowing who the father is? Niambi for continuing a two year affair? Christie who always sleeps with a guy on the first date? Seems Antonia and Sommer are the only two that can lay claim to not being a whore. If having a crush on a guy makes one a whore then I guess I am a whore cause I've had many crushes during my 53 years of living.

This is strictly my opinion, but for Sommer to proclaim that she just cannot dance with a guy (insert fluttering eyelashes), she quickly shed any inhibitions with the hip hop instructor. She got rather down and dirty, without much encouragement. The instructor even commented about Sommer's dancing ability. Not trying to beat a dead horse, but she acted like a dancing ho, even showed us her rear end and type of underwear!!

I am not a dancer either but if it was an assignment, whereas if I didn't do it it was an automatice boot out of the house, you can bet I would do whatever dance to stay.
There is a major difference in enjoying doing an assignment (and doing it with a positive attitude otherwise one gets kicked out) with some one and dating them. I;ve done group things with Italian guys but would never ever date one.
I don't see her having a crush on the dance instructor but rather her doing the assignment in a way so that Rhonda won't kick her out. Rhonda has made it clear she is not to socialize with the crew, not to whine about ehr assignments...and foremost: to be open to anything.

I must have missed something from this segment with Sommer learning Hip Hop dancing.Because it didn't strike me as sleazy at all.I think Sommer had a serious issue with body image at one time but that seems to have resolved itself.I'm not sure why SO is still addressing it.Ballroom dancing might have taught Sommer some social skills but come on she's a YOUNG woman.How many twenty somethings want to learn to Ballroom dance?I'm not sure why Sommer is there except as a means to make Rhonda look better and so they don't have to bring a completely new HG in.She's filler.

I'm not sure she needs to be there either. I kind of think she grew outside of the house, and doesn't need the validation. Though, not being her, I can't really know. The bump and grind dancing would be a little too much for me. So hey, the fact that she did it says how confident she has become. I think Sommer has turned into a very beautiful woman and person all together. I guess the good thing about being back in the house is that she can get her graduation present now.

And yes, I do think that Sommer enjoyed that hip-hop guy grinding up behind her a little too much. (Ewww) Frankly though, I doubt it would have gone much further with him if the cameras were off since my gaydar was picking up major signals from him. Also, his outfit was absurd. I'm so over that over-sized clown suit thing. What is sexy about that? But I digress... As others have stated, I think Hip-Hop was a VERY poor choice of dance style to instruct Sommer in. The hip-hop culture is notoriously demeaning to women, or "b*tches and ho's" as they are almost exclusively referred to in hip-hop land. Sadly, this demeaning culture to women has been crossing over to mainstream society and has influenced everything from fashion (witness Sommer's thong and coinslot) to the way people talk (witness Sommer's faux ghetto speak) and inappropriate sexual behavior (witness Sommer's inability to separate sex from male attention which are almost always interwoven in hip hop culture.) I agree that Ballroom would have been a much better technique for her to learn. It's all about male/female interaction with respect and trust which is exactly what Sommer needs help with. For the poster who asked what 20-something would be interested in ballroom--where've you been? Ballroom is HUGE these days. Without doing any sociological research on the subject, my guess is that the pendulum is swinging back the other way because folks are sick of the sleazy, demeaning culture hip hop is presenting as "mainstream" these days.
