ashleigh j 9 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 10-07-03, 10:25 PM (EST) "(SPOILERS) The Reason for That Thing in the Latest Preview" Okay, it said 200 characters before I post any possible spoilers, so I'll take a second to introduce myself.. Ashleigh is in fact my name, though I am in no way rich.. The other part of the phrase? Debatable. =P Okay, ummmm.. Is it 200 yet? How about now? la la la la la... Okay, should be safe now. All the evicted housemates are coming back, as shown on the preview. But why?? To vote off the remaining cast members! Think about the math.. Let's say Matt votes for Ashleigh. The producers want to get rid of Brian. Brian and Ashleigh can't vote for themselves. So what happens? Hutch and Ashleigh both vote for Brian, and Brian can either vote for Hutch or Matt, since we don't need to explain a tie. And since Hutch or Matt would have immunity, that makes it even more difficult to rig the vote without it being obvious. And then once you're down to three housemates, both actors would have to vote for the Producer's Choice, but what if Matt votes for Ashleigh and they want Hutch gone? Let's say Matt has immunity, and Hutch can't vote for himself so he HAS to vote for Ashleigh, and Boom! Matt dictates the outcome. I don't think he would, but I doubt the producers would want to take that chance. And it's too hard for them to believably rig the outcome with only 4 people voting, one of whom is immune. But it could still be rigged with only 4 people, with 3 it would be even more difficult. Though now that Molly is gone, she will probably tone down a little, though she will still probably carry on about things Matt wants nothing to do with. LOL Information that would spoil it for the rest of us that aren't privy to the info you have. If I say "I THINK Hutch will be kicked off next because..." That's NOT a spoiler If I say "Here's what's going to happen in the last episode. The secret will be revaealed to Matt, he gets REALLY angry at first, but is relieved when he finds out that he's not only the winner of the fake show, but he's in fact won FIVE hundred thousand dollars..." THAT would be a spoiler. Anything that I state as FACT. You're right, I couldn't POSSIBLY have ANY IDEA what I'm talking about because I've only made one post here, right? And of course I've probably NEVER posted to ANY other message board before in my life, right? A spoiler, the definition of a spoiler, and the etiquette regarding a spoilers, is NOT unique to JUST THIS message board. What I stated would apply to ANY message board. How to handle a spoiler may differ, but what is and isn't a spoiler wouldn't change. What she posted simply wouldn't be considered as such. What doesn't change from message board to message board are post-counters like yourself who look down on people who don't have a thousand posts, so they can't belong to your little "clique" My post to her was thoughtful, respectful, informative, and had a light-hearted tone to it. Her response to me was equally respectful and thankful. You just HAD to follow it up by putting me down because I "only have one post" Congrats! Danno is right that this post is not a spoiler... it is speculation based on promos. On this message board, we ask that people add filler to the start of their posts if the post contains spoilers. We do not restrict posts containing speculation, although many posters choose to label speculative posts as "potential spoilers" so that users who wish to discuss previous episodes without having future surprises ruined by educated guesses can avoid those posts. MandyM is right that it's always better to be safe than sorry! Thanks to Ashleigh for reading the guidelines and following them. I'd much rather read 200 words of filler only to find out that the spoiler was mere speculation than read a spoiler when I didn't want to know the outcome. That said, it would be better to label posts as "potential spoilers" or "speculation" when your post does not contain decisive facts. I have a strong feeling Matt wouldn't want Ashleigh to be in the finals with him but you never know what those writers/producers will do for ratings. (I know I watch Joe for Ashleigh heh heh.. >_<) I think it kinda depends on how he feels. If he feels like a certain win, he'll take Hutch with him to the end because (if the final vote works similar to previous survivors where the dead get to vote) Matt knows they'll all vote for him. If he feels generous and wants a good fight, he'll take Brian with him. I don't really care much for voting though... I wanna see Matt's reaction to everything and if he totally flips out.. that'd be great... not in that evil, i-want-to-drive-you-insane kind of way... but yeah. I wonder... if Angela did happen to be single and Matt learned of this... you think he'd try something on her? *wink wink* or Melissa even... like.. c'mon. I know I would if I were single... And it if they were to do something, they would probaly will do something along the lines of showing Matt he close calls they had, or show him his reaction to certain things, or where he acted unexpectedly and they tell him what they had expected of him.. Thats assuming of course, he doesnt get horribly upset and, and storms out of the mansion and walk off after they tell him... Ashleigh (ugh I hope I spelled that right), I think you were OK to put the filler in there because they show the promo after the show and therefore people who haven't seen the show haven't even had the opportunity to maybe see the promo, plus the promo wasn't on Spike's web site yet either.
