"Phrases I would learn in various languages"
If I were headed to the amazing race, I think I would learn some phrases in as many languages as possible;

Please and thank you
Help
Faster!
Is this the way to....
Do you hate just me or all Americans?
No, I am not affiliated with Jonathan and Victoria
I am in a race, so will you endanger your life for me?
Do you choose to live in poverty? (no, never mind....)

How about...

Do you NOT speak English ?
Overtake that speeding bus !
What are you people laughing at ?
We're in a race and we came in last during the last leg and we've been stripped of all our cash and now we need $$ for this new leg, could you kindly help us by giving us some money, any amount will suffice ? (kudos to whoever who can master this in at least 3 other languages !! but then again, they always seemed to get help from English-speaking tourists instead of the locals)

and finally,
My ox is broken, I SWEAR !

I like whoever posted for SeeBeeSss' Ep. 1 "Photo Finsh" caption competition featuring Uchenna, "My llama is broken!"

Welcome to the boards.

And guess who's in this week's?

How about:

We've run out of money. Would you like to sleep with my sister?

I'm lost. Can you lead me to Phil?

Never mind, can you just carry me?

Why does your country smell so bad?

And

Run them over, just run them over.

And I'm *snerk*ing at your juxtaposition of The Rock with Phil. Imagine if he were the host for a season?

"A Detour is a choice between two . . . aw, hell, you know that."

I reckon people would learn English pretty quickly if they saw him coming!

Can't you tell what the Roadblock is cooking?!

How 'bout 'stop that man! he stole my money!' That way I could just get all of the other contestants' money.

I'd make a shirt that says "do you speak english?" in many languages. Then I could just point to the shirt.

'What are the hours of operation?'

'If you help me, I can get you on American TV.'

'I don't know where the short one is.'

'Did you see a man in a baseball cap come this way while carrying all our backpacks?'

'CBS will pay a lot of money for my safe return.'

'Chip sent me.'

'I have enjoyed two pounds of your fine native cuisine and now I must die.'

The phrase that I have found the most useful over thirty years of travel:

Where is the WC/ladies' room/restroom/toilet/bathroom?

I would also learn "please" and "thank you". As well as "I'm lost. Can you help me?"

No, I’m not American. I’m, I’m, uh, Canadian. Yeah. That’s it. Canadian.

What lovely children you have - may I rent one as my guide?

No really. I swear I’m not American.

Have you seen an ugly yellow box on a pole?

How many times do I have to tell you I’m not American?

That would definitely get you a chauffeured limo and personal guide, with bottled water and good food for the duration of your stay. HA!

"Please help! We've escaped from an institution and need directions to X. Yes, yes, the fanny packs are part of the uniform."

"Drive fast, and I'll award you the equivalent of 6 pennies and an empty styrofoam cup!"

"Have you seen an asshat in a Red Sox cap?"

"Please take us to the train station." This would eliminate the embarrassing "Choooo chooooos". At least try singing, "Chattanooga Choo Choo" for variety. It won't help, but it would be a change.

"Please take us to the airport." This would eliminate the "Airport, airport" mantra the teams chant to cab drivers that don't speak English. Note: loud repetition of an English word does NOT help someone one understand what you're saying.
