Ah, Marion, how I'll miss you: Your complete inability to provide encouragement to you own children and your insistence that they respect you despite that. Your poor sense of decorum. (Yeah, let's rush the flag-folding ceremony. Don't worry about significance or anything.) Your fixation on gas. You fixation on getting a map. Here is where I would like to point out that you guys got lost EVERYwhere. In NYC at the very beginning, and now, you drove the wrong way, got lost in a parking lot and then, by your own admission, had a hard time finding Phil. You quotes: "What are we going to Phoenix for?" (Um, there's this race thing, I understand it might be amazing...maybe you've heard of it?) It won't be the same anymore.

I laughed out loud with her "Why are we going to Phoenix?...I want to go to New Zealand!"That and her "I'm gonna have more muscles than brains in my head" comment. Beyond that, I am NOT going to miss this horrid family. Every time that child opened his mouth I wanted to cram my fist in it. I predict a case of elder abuse in the not too distant future.

DJ's mouth aside, i actually liked the Paolo family--they seemed very real, like they would act the same way no matter what. mama Paolo was pretty funny when she wasn't yelling at DJ. a little dysfunctional maybe, but that describes most of the people on tv--especially reality tv.plus the younger son--can't remember his name--is such a cutie. i just wanted to pinch his cheeks.
