"Would a spin off work??"
LAST EDITED ON 08-22-03 AT 08:10 PM (EST)

"The Bachelor" did it sucessfully, "For Love or Money" is doing it sucessfully, do you think they could do a spin off of Cupid?

If so, which guy would you choose from the top ten to be the next Cupid star?

Are any of the guys (other than Hank who is going to win) good enough to have several women wanting to marry him?

I do think it could work, but I think it would be a lot more focused on the looks than the current Cupid.

My pick for the next Cupid show would be Evan, that is assuming Hank wins. If Hank doesn't win, he would be the obvious choice. I don't think it would work with any of the other guys. Maybe Rob, he seemed like he was okay.

My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours....if by some chance Hank didn't win (which I hope he does...but...), he would be the perfect choice to do the follow up series. I'm not sure any of those other guys would be a good enough catch though, to tell the truth....can't really see the women lining up to date a street hustler, lol.

Sure, Hank can be the Lisa character and Robert and Scott can play his best friends who pretend to influence the voting and we can pretend to be the voters, as if the votes are really counted. I would hope Hank would not agree to be on this kind of show again--it's getting pretty tacky!

In a sense, "Cupid" is already trying a spin off. It's a different type of spin off...but a spin nonetheless! It's called: www.match.com! All those commericals about matching up the cast offs with the wanna be's, is sure to spawn a TV spin off (or two or three!)

Regards...

Either Hank or Evan would be a good bet. They can't both win Lisa. But would it work having the guy's 2 buddies insulting the gals that want to marry Evan or Hank?

It would certainly be interesting, since guys usually dis women using very short words & sentences that could not be broadcast on the mainstream networks!

Hmmm...that could be interesting! A lot of bleeping going on! Or, they could get female friends of the guy ~ side note: I bet Evan has a lot of women friends they could choose from!

The female friends would be hilarious. Can you imagine??
Women are always protective of their guy friends, and women are so critical of other women. It would get pretty catty.

My idea for a spin off would have Laura in the middle of her two best friends as she dated 10 men. I think she would have better taste than Lisa did for her top ten, and I think it would be hilarious. Her two best friends don't necessarily have to be Lisa and Kim, though.

Silvergirl

I think Laura deserves a good man, too.
