"Shifts in Popularity"
Dom's "date" with the kids will be slowing down his popularity. He did not do so well with the kids and really showed that he is not ready for kids.

Ken just proved that he has no idea what to do with kids. Not just how to be a father, but how to play or get along with them in general..This might be the date that removes him from the competition.

Evan is still a player, but his "kids date" went really well. I think he moved up the ladder in popularity with america

Hank dominates as usual

Joe is still flashing the cash. But i will say this, he knows how to use the situation to his advantage. The problem is that i absolutely do not see a connection between him and Lisa

Renda is just about out of the picture as usual. I do not see a change in his popularity...I see him still in the bottom of the rung.

Robert A...still being his typical self.

1. "RE: Shifts in Popularity"
Dom sure didn't fare too well with the kids, but I think the thing that is really going to drive his numbers down is the nasty temper that he displayed after both Laura and Kimberly dissed him in their post-date assessments. For a minute I thought he was going to jump off the stage and have at them. That lame host-boy was pratically restraining him. He also didn't look too good when he was dissing Hank in the opening segment from the guys' house. A wee bit jealous, perhaps??

I agree, Ken is sure to take a slide after this week's fiasco. He just may get the boot, assuming that folks still want to keep around Robert A.

Speaking about Robert A, it's a given that this guy is not right and just keeps getting a bit creepier each week, but damn, I think that L&K were just over the top in bashing this guy. He'll probably pick up enough sympathy votes to keep him around just because of Lisa's pals actions.

Joe looks to be hanging in there and not really going up or down to any great extent. I'm thinking he stays for a bit longer.

Evan probably made up some ground this week, and did surprisingly well with the kids. It's obvious that Lisa wants to keep him around anyway.

Renda probably made up a wee bit of ground as well, since he did well with his outing this week. He's another one that Lisa seems to want to keep around, though God only knows why.

Hank, of course, rules. I'm almost getting nervous that he's being set up to take a big fall, since other than Dom's diss in the opening segment, Hank has been shown in an almostly uniformly positive light. He's about the only one who has yet to receive any harsh feedback from L&K, and I'm afraid that his bubble is due to burst.

Dom really screwed up a lot last night.....he might as well have jumped up and down screaming and then sucked his thumb. He showed his immaturity, both with his (jealous) criticism of Hank, and then the tantrum after Laura and Kim were negative towards his date segment. He proved he's not ready for this.

Evan ~ he did better, but I'm still not ready to trust him...still think deep down he's a player. He'll move up in the rankings with Dom doing so badly though. I think he may be Hank's toughest competition.

Hank ~ what a man! Obviously, by the other guys apparent jealousy in that opening segment, he is considered the man to beat. Funny thing is, what those guys seemed to be indicating as "Jekyl and Hyde", to me looked like poor Hank is the only adult in a house full of frat boys. He's a gem....if he doesn't end up with Lisa, there are going to be a lot of women lining up, I think.

Joe ~ still think he's a bs artist, and I don't think there has been a week yet when money wasn't some sort of a theme with him....he wants a trophy wife with a million dollar dowry.

Ken ~ ooh, bad moves Ken. I think he might have sealed his fate in this competition.

Renda ~ totally bores me, I just can't help it. And Lisa would have to support his sorry hide for the 12 months until they got the money.....I think his lack of ambitions would bother her, since she seems like a very success driven person. On the other hand, she wouldn't have to hire a nanny for the kids, because the guy has no job!

Robert ~ I think if Laura would back off, the novelty of people voting for this pervert would die down and he'd be gone (it has always worked that way on AI...when Simon stops being mean, the fun is gone).

What about Lisa? I would have liked to hear what the kids thought of her--she seemed bored, disinterested and didn't have any chemistry with the kids either. If I were a guy who wanted kids, Lisa's interaction with them wasn't the greatest....

That exercise wasn't a very good indicator of how the candidate would be as a father either. 4 strange little kids that have no connection whatsoever with the guys. Most people don't start out with four kids either.

You can't really discipline or correct without sounding harsh when dealing with other people's children. On a personal note, I thought the whole exercise with the kids was creepy. Not any particular one, all of them. I didn't really feel right. I like last week dating exercise much better.

5. "RE: Shifts in Popularity"
This last show did shift the guys a lot. I would have to agree with managerr that what we saw of Lisa wasn't too impressive. She didn't seem to interact with the kids much. I also agree with Majic Mitch that it was kind of a weird setup. I think it would have been a lot better to show each of the guys with some nieces or nephews, or some of their friends kids. That way you can see how they are with kids they have a relationship with, not some strangers.

The rankings did change for me.

Hank - did great as always, I was worried at first with the whole foreign language thing, but he pulled through.

Evan - He jumped up for me this week. I already liked him, but after his interaction with the kids I really think he could be good marriage material.

Dominic - My concern with him is that he doesn't want kids yet, and Lisa does. That makes them not a very good match.

Renda - Well he can't pay the bills, but he is really good with kids. That is a great trait in a husband.

Joe - He would make a good father, but he still really bugs me, especially the money issue!

Ken - Dropped really low after the date. It was painful to watch Lisa be so bored. But to Ken's defense Lisa could have jumped in at anytime. She just sat around waiting to be involved instead of getting involved herself.

Robert - I wish Laura would stop insulting him so much. Then everyone wouldn't be keeping him on just to annoy her!

6. "RE: Shifts in Popularity"
WOW...what a change in popularity since the last episode.
I was actually kinda shocked to see that Evan was in the bottom three! I really like him and Lisa together. Paul, even though Lisa liked him, I think was likely to be in the bottom three, but Evan...no way! I honestly feel that he and Hank will be the two competitors in terms of ending up with Lisa. I can see her with both Hank and Evan...I hope America keeps Evan around till the end because it is very obvious that it upset Lisa when Evan was in the bottom three...I actually think that even though Evan looks and may act playerish, he's perfect for her...there is crazy chemistry that is very obvious and they seem to mesh very well, and the same goes for Lisa and Hank, they are perfect. I think that Dom's popularity may have dropped, Evan's went up (hopefully), Hank's will remain to be high, Ken and Robert were uggh (gotta get rid of em' both), Renda and Joe were just okay, they seem like nice guys but not right for Lisa.

7. "RE: Shifts in Popularity"
LAST EDITED ON 08-20-03 AT 07:31 PM (EST)

Isn't it just possible that the three guys at the beginning in the house (Renda, Evan, and Dom) were trying to warn Lisa about something in Hank's personality that is obvious to the people living with him 24/7? Just maybe? She sees him 3 hours a week and they see him all the time.

It would have been funnier and more appropriate last night to have put the guys with a little baby for three hours--they're probably not going to start their families with four eight year olds! Evan did the best, but then he also is around kids all the time. Hank did well too but the rest of them were just putting on a show for Lisa. And did you notice how the kids just jumped into Dom's arms when Lisa came in the room, hugging him? Looked like they liked him a lot to me!

Lisa is lying if she is saying she will be getting pregnant as soon as the show is over (the famous "I'm ready to start a family" line). Hope she would give the marriage time enough to gel before that happens.

8. "RE: Shifts in Popularity"
I think Dom was unfairly bashed. He had a lot of fun and so did his group of kids. I am the mother of four kids aged 10 thru 16 and believe me, Dads are all about fun! Hank got rave reviews for trying to teach the kids another language, which didn't work, then they just sat around and talked? Big negative! Dom may not have had control of those kids, but they aren't his. He would raise his own from a little baby. The situation they put these guys in was totally unrealistic and stupid actually. AND, I don't blame him for getting a little fired up at Kim - her comments were really hateful. He did nothing wrong. He is a little young, but has great chemistry with Lisa. He seems every bit as mature as Lisa to me.

I agree that Dom's kids had the controlled mayhem of a let-it-all-out party with dad. The kids had a great time. They were not prim & proper but kids don't need to be that way all the time. They ran; they had fun; no one was hurt; no feelings were hurt; nothing was broken.

I, for one, have washed glitter out of hair before--off a dog too, LOL. I had no problems with this date.

I agree with you....the date with Dom sure looked like the kids were having fun to me! I think the stupidest idea (besides Robert's) was Ken's having the kids hit him and stomp all over him, etc. I thought that one was painful to watch...he's trying too hard!
I'm still sad that Paul had to go....at least he was one of the normal ones (I prefer watching the normal guys to the idiots). I don't understand some of the posters on here who want to see Lisa "work" for the money, or whatever, and continue dating the idiots!

That whole thing about Hank not being really him on his dates with Lisa is bogus. Obviously this guy is doing a clean sweep every week and the show wanted to add some drama. I don't think Lisa paid any attention to what Dom said about Hank. Obviously Dom is jealous of the attention Hank is getting and wanted to stir things up.

IMO Hank still rocks!

Did you see the smile on Hank's face when Paul was asked to leave. He knows this is a competition and that Paul was a big one.

Some of these guys need to wake up and remember this is not a Frat but a contest with only one winner.....except for creepy who is looking to get face time.
