"Rob & Paige dating in secret??"
First time poster, here any maybe I'm a sucker, but how could you not like Rob? Aren't people allowed to make a mistake or two in life without a smear campaign ensuing?? Hasn't anyone out there attended university or college where in a drunken stupor you did something you later regretted? I think Rob is gorgeous. I do wish he had followed his heart though...Anyone think he and Paige are dating now, behind the scenes??

...no reason to qualify that with a maybe.

>Aren't people allowed to make
>a mistake or two in

>ensuing??

...the problem with your argument is that you assume that WE (we meaning everyone in the world except you) dislike Rob solely because of his previous criminal acts when the honest truth is even without the past sex offense we would all be hating this clown just because of what a pathetic no personality monotone talking loser he is.

Hasn't anyone out there
>attended university or college where

...ditching a cab, stealing street sign, wetting the bed, yeah, I've done all those things in a drunken stupor, but have I ever gotten drunk and then broken into a girl's dorm room and tried to rape her? That would be a big fat no and the fact that he was at college (which he wasn't) or the fact that he was drunk do not lessen the the criminality or culpability of his acts.

>I think Rob is gorgeous.

...great, so he's a good looking scumbag. I'm happy for you.

...only if they've rekindled their romance while attending the same AA meetings.

I liked Rob. He came across as fairly innocent which is surprising considering he's a high achiever and 33 years old.

>Aren't people allowed to make

Yes, people should be allowed to make mistakes without a smear campagn ensuing. Even if bad behavior requires discussion, it should be done at the right place and at the right time and only between the parties involved if it is to mean anything at all.

The military history leaking out and when Rob drank too much on the show doesn't sit right with me. The "accosting a female officer" never should have leaked out, I wonder how it did and why? They didnt' kick Rob off the show after they found out, and he dealt with the situation at that time and resolved it, but the media was only interested in brow beating him about that. It served absolutely no purpose other than to spark more interest in the show at Rob's expense, and there are TWO SIDES to every story, and the fact that Rob didn't feel the need to justify himself to yet another trashy tabloid woman speaks volumes to me.

Then there was the night of drinking too much and asking for help with his boots. Rob is an intelligent man, and he knew this was going to be on national TV, so why would he do this to himself. He came across as treating these women with disrespect and a bit impulsive with a lack of self control. He knew he'd have to answer to these women and to the media. Was he just testing these woman to see what they would be like after he had made one mistake? It would be good to know before getting too serious with someone, or if they were married, would she leave at the first sign of trouble? Right at that point, Rob seemed to be sorry he signed up to participate in the show. I think he is probably quite tired of dating, and maybe he falls in love easily. Then he said they were the classiest women he had ever dated -- these women didn't seem very classy to me, especially after the money came into it. They came across as God's gift to men before the money issue was introduced, then all they could talk about was the money after that. They were treating Rob like a party favor, and in that setting, their behavior makes everyone look like idiots.

Hasn't anyone out there
>attended university or college where

Yes, I'm quite sure they have, but they will be reluctant to admit to it, downplay it or rationalize their way out of it. I'd be wary of anyone who leans too much in the positive or negative. It indicates a severe lack in the ability for objective thinking and positive redirection.

I think he did follow his heart. He knew the easy way out was to choose Paige, but realistically thinking, she really is too young for him, and based on her appearance this morning on the Today show, she's not acting like someone who lost the love of her life. She was quite happy without Rob. If she realled cares about Rob, she should be concerned about how he's dealing with the stress and misfortune NBC has created.

>The military history leaking out and when Rob drank too much

It leaked out after the show premiered -- when the public (including The Smoking Gun) started to pay attention to the show. It just happened that Rob was due to make an ass of himself in Epsiode 2.

>"accosting a female officer" never should have leaked out, I

Why not? They aren't sealed records... why doesn't the public have a right to know?

>wonder how it did and why? They didnt' kick
>Rob off the show after they found out

Um... you realize the show was taped months ago, correct? So please explain how they could "kick Rob off the show" -- they had two choices -- continue to air it, or pull it from the airwaves. You make it sound like they could have just replaced Rob starting in Episode 3....

>and he dealt with the situation at that time and resolved it,

He "dealt with it" -- the military disciplined him, that's like trying to state that a bank robber "dealt with his crime" by agreeing to do jail time. What other choice did he have???

>but the media was only interested in brow beating him
>about that. It served absolutely no purpose other than
>to spark more interest in the show at Rob's expense,

>fact that Rob didn't feel the need to justify himself

Please educate yourself to the situation. The story wasn't broken by a tabloid, it was broken by TheSmokingGun.com. The woman didn't even want her name revealed when contacted by the website.

And Rob certainly DID try to explain himself:

http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=1270

Campos, described in his NBC bio as "keen, intelligent, honest and hospitable," said he was unable to recall any details of the incident because he was "too drunk," but that "my buddies said she got angry because I was too drunk to get it up."

Classy explanation... guess he was the victim.

And Rob DID go to the tabloids -- he went to "Access Hollywood", the tabloid news show (owned by NBC), and gave them his "exclusive" side of the story.

>Then there was the night of drinking too much and asking
>for help with his boots. Rob is an intelligent
>man, and he knew this was going to be on
>national TV, so why would he do this to himself.

Yes, you're correct, he must have been framed... the producers must have digitally created that footage, Intelligent Rob would never have put himself in that situation...

> He came across as treating these women with disrespect

> He knew he'd have to answer to these women

Ya... out of all the possible scenarios out there, sure, that's the one that's at the top of my list in terms of likelyhood. Are you serious???

>Hasn't anyone out there >attended university or college where
>>in a drunken stupor you >did something you later regretted?

Were you 29 years old in college? Had you already attended 6 years of college at the time? Because that was Rob's situation when he committed his actions -- comparing the actions of a 29 year old man to those of an 18 year old freshman is not a valid analogy.

>If she realled cares about Rob, she
>should be concerned about how he's dealing with the stress

Yes, yes... poor Rob has been victimized by NBC... poor innocent, intelligent Rob has once yet again the victim of the world's horrible anti-Ron prejudice.
