"Impovements on the format of the show"
I finally got to watch the first 3 episodes of Bachelor in Paradise and I've got to say whichever producer cooked up the ideas for the changes to formatting on the show should get a raise---great job. The problem with previous Bachelor Pads was the focus on the show became about alliances...and the "couples" (who are usually the most boring people on the show) voted out the singles. This new format focused on where it should be focusing on hookups, love triangles, finding romance, eye candy and drama. We're not watching this for an hour and half discussion about alliances and voting the way the past one was. I appreciate that the players are giving roses to the ones they are interested in and declining from the ones they aren't. And, bringing in new players every week really spices up the show. The only improvement I'd say is to add a globetrotting addition element to this. The paradise didn't really look like paradise. I would never stay at that resort--it looks pretty run down. The trips the Bachelor/ette takes are amazing: Switzerland, Venice, etc.... I did find that once the players became "couples" like Zak/Clare, etc, they instantly became boring. The interesting ones were the free agents or love triangle participants. But bravo, they finally got it right this time and the players seemed to embrace the spirit of the new format. Also, Chris did a smart thing by taking Elise and giving the rose Michelle...always thought he was a d-bag but it kind of redeemed himself a little...he sure knows how bring the drama though--last time he also had another dramatic move by taking tiara girl into the voting booth with him...both highlights of the show.

All the travel they do is actually something I dislike. I don't watch the shows for all the fancy places they go, I watch the shows for the shows themselves. And there are plenty of places they can go right here in the good old US of A, they don't have to go to Outer Slobovia every season. I would not miss the overseas travel if they cut back on it some. And yes, that crappy rat infested poor excuse for a resort they did BiP at has got to go. Find someplace with a little quality for next year.

Agreed. They should film it here on RTVW!

Heard they were doing most of Chris's Bachelor season here in the states and not doing as much fancy traveling. That starts showing on 1/5.
