to start looking for the personality types that would make someone a Mole candidate, and what behavior to look for during the game to see who could be the Mole and just as importantly to see who COULD NOT be the Mole. I'll prefice this by saying that this is only my second post to this site. I've been lurking around for a looooong time but haven't posted yet so please be kind.
This is by far the best reality game show on TV going, because it is determined more by brain power than backstabbing, and the contestants control their own destiny to a greater extent. Just like Survivor where you can look for clues within the show to determine who is going to be successful ie go far in the game, you can do much the same with The Mole to determine who are the best candidates for the Mole and who is unlikely to be the Mole.
When looking at the first two seasons it seems that the producers are looking for someone who can keep their emotions in check during the game and fly UTR. Contestants such as Elavia, Al, Bribs, Katy and Heather to name a few did things during the show that made it seem unlikely for them to be the Mole. Acting too Moleish like Elavia should have been a dead give away that she wasn't the Mole(I really wish she wouldn't have taken the bribe as she was an excellent candidate to win IMHO). Al was just to into the game and came off as someone trying to win the game. His personality was to outfront and drawing attention towards himself which should have eliminated him as the Mole. Heather wore her emotions on her sleeve, another bad trait for being the Mole. Bribs was hard to figure at first but he revealed himself to not be the Mole by playing it to cool in other words he wasn't Moleish enough. So that leaves us with Bill and Dorothy. Dorothy by pulling out some spectatular victories(she is one smart woman and what a wonderful winner) was shown to not be the Mole. The Mole would Not have pulled out those victories when all was lost and really no one could be faulted for sabatoge. So that leaves Bill who flew UTR and tried to remain above suspicion while yet causing the group to lose money.
I Realize that I left off almost half of the contestants, but I did that for the sake of brevity. I would like to mention that Darwin was never a candidate. His constant alliance forming and efforts to win the game put him in the same category as Al.
So what does this all mean?
1. UTR UTR UTR!! All UTR's should be considered Mole candidates.
2. If the contestant is to Moleish ala Elavia then they can't be the Mole.
3. Contestants who are to excited about the game and working to hard forming alliances and trying to draw attention to themselves cannot be the Mole(Darwin, Al and Patrick with his constant efforts at trying to get information from the other contestants).
4. If a contestant is flying to far UTR with NO Moleish behavior(Bribs) then that person can be eliminated as the Mole.
That was about all I could think of, but if some of you have any suggestions, add ons or comments please feel free to put in your $.02 worth as it would be greatly appreciated.
