"Celebrity Mole Ep 4 Summary: How do you play "rock, paper, scissors"?"
Sorry for the delay everyone (been busy with school and the usual stuff). Also please ignore all typos, spelling, or grammar errors!! Thanks!

*****************************************************************
On the beautiful island of Hawaii, four quasi celebrities are competing to
figure out who is the mole and win a large amount of money that they all, sadly
need. Episode 4 begins with the players describing their strange feelings of
inadequacy since Corbin Bernsen was executed last week. Kathy Griffin then
confesses that she really loved Corbin though she couldn’t express it because
operating that joystick in episode one was traumatizing and she will never be the
same.

Next the host, Ahmad Rashad an ex-football player (you know the game
that involves twenty-two players, two linesmen, 20,000 referees, and 500,000
gallons of Gatorade), announces that Michael Boatman and Erik Von Detton will
have to hula dance for 30 minutes while Kathy and Frederique must get on a surf
board and stand for five seconds. Michael and Erik begin by learning to hula
dance to “Tiny Bubbles” (a song that reminds me of a man named Al who, in the
good old days, had to work for his money). Both men take off their shirts and get
into their hula gear. Michael wants to learn tribal dance instead but since both
guys have less hair on their chests then my nine year old brother, it was not an
option...but nonetheless they continue to hula as they validate Freudian ideology.

Kathy and Frederique hop on their surfboards and Kathy begins her usual
whining. Frederique easily rides a wave for eight seconds (it seems as though all
that practice of walking down runways for thousands of dollars has finally paid
off). However Kathy, realizing that Frederique is done and she is the only player
in the water (sharks are attracted to small, ratty things that are bobbing in the
water) makes an excuse that she was scratched and wants to quit. The group is
told of Kathy’s sad but not surprising decision. Erik is then offered to win back
$10,000 if he can surf for 20 seconds with a 10 minute time limit. Sadly, Erik surfs
into the rocks and does not complete his task (Erik becomes depressed because
this could be the end of his Dinotopia career).

Over lunch, Ahmad tells the players that someone tied with Corbin during
the last quiz. Everyone considers it could have been them, but Kathy hopes that it
was Frederique. Kathy then pulls Erik into a van and tells him not to tell
Frederique that the only quiz that has info from all the challenges is the last quiz.
Then Kathy mutters that she is going to wet and freeze Frederique’s bra when she
is asleep.

Now the players are going to compete for the final exemption. The divide
up into pairs: Erik and Kathy, Frederique and Michael. They game they play
involves mathematical brain teasers and which ever team completes the puzzles in
the shortest amount of time goes on to the next round. Frederique and Michael
are sent out of the room. Ahmad shows Kathy and Erik some examples of how
the game will work (Kathy is already confused). There are a total of four
portholes on a BOAT (oh wait we aren’t doing that anymore) in which there are
three numbers and one missing number. The players can add, subtract, multiply, or
divide the numbers in order to make the total.

When the time starts Erik begins solving the math problem (Kathy mutters
a little, but is no big help) and soon enough he has completed all three of the
puzzles in a little over two minutes (maybe his Dinotopia career isn’t over after
all!) Frederique and Michael are given the same quiz (which Frederique does most
of the math...good thing Kathy and Michael weren’t in a group together) but
complete it in over nine minutes. This means that Kathy and Erik move on to the
next round. They both take a spoken multiple choice consisting of 10 questions.
In order to find out who goes first, the two do “rock paper scissors”. Kathy,
apparently had been sheltered her entire childhood, didn’t even know how to play
the game (and that is why she suggested it?). However Erik wins and Kathy is
elected to take the quiz first. Evidently Kathy doesn’t know where Uranus is and
Erik wins the game.

Erik then has to complete a huge game of memory to get his exemption.
However, the other players are dropped off half a mile away and if they get to him
before he is done, he doesn’t get the exemption. Kathy, being as athletic as she
can, gets a ride. Michael, being as street smart as he is, runs past the restaurant
Erik is in. Meanwhile Frederique runs toward the direction of the restaurant but
complains she wasn’t wearing a sports bra since Kathy froze it the other night.
Frederique gets to Erik first, but Erik is already done and he has already won the
exemption. 12 hours later Kathy shows up, and five hours after that Michael finds
the restaurant.

During confessions, Erik says he is convinced Michael is the mole, and
Michael has no idea who the mole is (he apparently exhausted his mind from the
brain teasers). At dinner Michael is given a cake for his birthday which is the
following day (Ahmad says it’s because he MIGHT not be there
tomorrow.....Ahmad might have a brain after all). The players take the quiz and
half of all American’s jaw drops as Michael Boatman is executed. Now all
molerons around the country are left in a blurry state of confusion as we all
wonder who else could possibly be the mole?

2. "LOL"
Great one!

I especially liked the one about the Rock, Paper, Scissors! That was rather stupid. Kathy's all "I dunno how to play the game!"... What a DAW.

Solid first effort! I applaud your willingness to jump into the summary writers pool - it's a lot scarier than it looks.

A number of good lines, but these two were my favorites (with the Gatorade football comment a respectable third):

by learning to hula dance to “Tiny Bubbles” (a song that reminds me of a man named Al who, in the good old days, had to work for his money).

Michael wants to learn tribal dance instead but since both guys have less hair on their chests then my nine year old brother

Great job Sara! Or can I call you Naughty.

I liked these two best:

Evidently Kathy doesn’t know where Uranus is and Erik wins the game.

There are a total of four portholes on a BOAT (oh wait we aren’t doing that anymore)

"I resolve to constantly assert my honest opinion on anything and everything - whether it's requested or not."

wow - great first summary, Sara. In addition to the quotes already mentioned, I liked the whole first paragraph, and that comment "Kathy begins her usual whining."

LOL good stuff.

Welcome to the SB summary writers club, Naughty, and well done! Many great lines, my favorite:

Kathy, being as athletic as she can, gets a ride. Michael, being as street smart as he is, runs past the restaurant Erik is in. Meanwhile Frederique runs toward the direction of the restaurant but complains she wasn’t wearing a sports bra since Kathy froze it the other night.
