Put this here instead of OT....
No one reads this board anymore, but I still thought it was the appropriate spot.
Report: Ozzy Osbourne's Son in Rehab
Tue Apr 29, 6:07 PM ET

PASADENA, Calif. - Jack Osbourne, the 17-year-old son of heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne, has checked into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic, according to magazine reports.

"I got caught up in my new lifestyle and got carried away with drugs and alcohol," Osbourne told People magazine, which reported he entered Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena on April 23. "Once I realized this, I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own health and well-being."

A publicist for the Osbourne family did not immediately return calls seeking comment Tuesday.

Kelly Osbourne (news), Jack's 18-year-old sister, told Us Weekly magazine that her brother asked family matriarch Sharon Osbourne for help recovering from alcohol and marijuana abuse.

"He sat with Mum and she said, 'We'll get you help, we'll figure it out,'" Kelly Osbourne said. "He's doing very well and we're all very proud of him. He's in really good spirits."

Jack Osbourne is the youngest of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's three children, and a part-time talent scout for Epic records. He and 18-year-old Kelly became international stars with the success of MTV's reality show "The Osbournes." Their older sister, Aimee, didn't take part.

"It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit you need help, and both Sharon and I are proud Jack is facing his problems head-on," Ozzy Osbourne said.

Ozzy Osbourne has been candid, both on and off the show, about his decades of battles with substance abuse. The second season began in November on a somber note, with the 54-year-old rock star boozing heavily to cope with Sharon's diagnosis of colon cancer.

Ozzy since has said that his wife is cancer-free after months of treatment.

In an interview last year, 50-year-old Sharon Osbourne told People: "Kelly was four months old and being wheeled around the Betty Ford Center."

"The kids have always known what it does, and they know they're not going to get away if they mess with it," she said.

Last summer, Jack Osbourne injured his arm when he jumped off the Malibu Pier while surfing with members of the rock band Incubus. He also made a cameo on the WB series "Dawson's Creek

1. "Story"
No one may come here anymore, but I posted a news story about Jack yesterday, after Sky News and the Sun tabloid broke the story in the UK.

It's hard to believe that Sharon's dad ran the record company that recorded the Electric Light Orchestra, isn't it? Let's see -- she sounds proud of the fact that her infant daughter was "wheeled around the Betty Ford Center." She's embroiled in a p---ing match with an agent at one of LA's top talent shops. her son's in rahab, she lied to a court to cheat Ozzy's old band out of royalties ... and then, when she was caught, she had the records remixed and remastered to delete the performances of the suing former band members, and the show tanked, even though it's been renewed.

Not exactly Ozzie and Harriet, is it?

Soylent Green: recycling America, one person at a time.

2. "RE: Story"
Sorry Ayak, I didn't see your posting of the Story......As always, If I do anything wrong or say anything wrong you may delete/lock my thread without any hard feeling here......

These people are actually amazing to me. I still watch this just because it is such a train wreck. Last season(season 2 part 1) they showed both Jack and Kelly drinking a lot. From the very beginning they have shown them going out every night partying. They have let these kids drop out of school. They have no control over them at all. Ozzy can do little more than shuffle around the house mumbling. Everyone considers Sharon a genius to hold this family together. All you can hope for is that someday Kelly and Jack have to actually experience real life. Make a living on their own skills - obviously it wouldn't be Kelly's singing or Jacks talent scout ability - live a life weere they don;t get everything they want just by whining to Sharon or throwing a temper tantrum to Ozzy.....
Does any one know how many trips to rehab Ozzy has mad. I know Sharon was so proud of the fact that she used to take the kids there when they were little, but I wonder how often it was?
They really do put the fun in dysfunctional.

3. "The hollow man"
Like you, wildchickenhunter, I look at Ozzy and see a shell of a person, hollowed out from the inside. He's living proof that people can continue to function without a thought in their heads.

Sharon got exactly what she wanted: a husband who was a legend ... who owned valuable ites (copyrights, music) that she could exploit without any worries about him objecting ... who will never get in her way because he's not physically or mentally able to stand up to her. I figured she just followed the trail blazed by Yoko Ono.

Kelly and Jack have to work? I thought the idea of this show was that Kelly and Jack would make enough cash so that they would NEVER have to work.
