"S25 Philipines Ep. 6 Love/Loathe List"
LAST EDITED ON 10-29-12 AT 01:29 PM (EST)

Let there be rice! Man, that was funny, all that angst over rice. Why funny? The astute student of the game, maybe even the odd returning vet player, should know one thing about Survivor rice, and that is: It's rice, run out and you can buy more from Probst! It's not brownies, it's not cookies, it's not footlongs, it's rice.

01. Jonathan (4). Brilliant move suggesting the rice trade, the astute Kalabaw (himself, Denise and Jeff Kent) then got to watch a show of Tandang frustration, get a read on how things aren't so sunny and nice over there.

02. Malcolm (1). Nothing much happened for Malcolm this time, but he was the one Tandang on the sidelines who kept his cool.

03. Denise (2). Really put up a fight in the RC, probably would have been better on the field in the IC but then Katie probably shoots like a girl.

04. Michael (5). Got unexpected heat come his way after the rice deal, to which yeah he should have given more thought. Stepped up coaching from the sidelines at IC though, and maybe realized his game hasn't been as smooth as he imagined.

05. Lisa (9). Surprisingly well matched against Denise in the RC, and her game of keeping herself out of the line of fire is working for now.

06. Jeff (3). Has Carter under total control.

07. RC (Roberta) (6). Staying friends with Mike at this point might not do her much good, on the other hand he is an experienced player, student of the game, and waking him up was a smart move.

08. Pete (7). Toughed it out in the RC, whether he can keep a fractured Tandang under control going forward is hard to say.

09. Carter (11). Toughed it out in the RC, but seems to have been spent afterward even going into the IC. Other than whining he seems to have no personality, he's just Jeff Kent's shadow.

10. Abi-Maria (12). Giving her a bump because she would have at least been in the RC had it not been stalemated in the first round.

11. Artis (10). Oh, shut up. After an hour of exhausting themselves to a stalemate the players on the field just wanted a fair way to resolve the challenge, a designated sit-out on the sidelines blowing his stack was just encouraging to the Kalabaw watching the antics. Not that there isn't some merit to a talking game in Survivor, just pick your moments, that was really not a good one.

Good-bye, Katie (8). Uselessness in challenges might have gotten her very far in the game. Had she made the merge.

1. "RE: S25 Philipines Ep. 6 Love/Loathe List"

1- Penner: An episode that centers around Jonathan is always a good episode. Now that Kent and Carter failed to get rid of him, I expect he will deliver the Penner Punch himself and it will shape the whole end game.

2- Mike: That's twice now that he found the way to win the challenge. Depleting the other team's ressources is always a good strategy.

3- Denise: She managed to make the merge which means she can rejoin Malcolm and be a force. She should never have been allowed to slide by.

4- Malcolm: Although the challenge started out well for the baseball player who caught the early fly balls, Malcolm turned this into a football game. We know from Dawson that football players are better athletes than Baseball players! Add a little offensive pass interference ( a blatant push in the back) and Malcolm got the last reception while Kent ate mud!

5- Lisa: Mike gave her the key to the challenge win and maybe it also applies to the game: If Lisa goes to Malcolm for an alliance she doesn't need Peter!

6- RC: She now has the time she wanted. She has stayed close to Mike and Lisa. If those 3 go with the two Matsings then they only need a vote or two going their way before they rule the game. And look: Kalabaw has two big targets out there!

7- Kent: Penner hadn't seen it coming but Kent didn't even swing the bat. Now Penner will deliver his punch and Kent will regret it for the rest of his life. Katie would have been more useful to him now. Loyalty is worth much more than a challenge win.

8- Peter: It's quite telling that this successful tribe is not united. Peter could have used Tom's strategy of "Tandang to the End" to his advantage but he divided his tribe unnecessarily. Now he has as many outsiders in his tribe going to the merge than Timbira had. It should be easy: 6-3-2 but instead it's 4-2-3-2 and that's if Lisa is still in with the nasty, cruel kids.

9- Abi: I think Kalabaw were afraid of her so that's why they offered a deal!

10- Carter: He's hiven his game to Kent. Now that the mature players are clearly outnumbering the young ones, Carter is a prime boot candidate.

11- Artis: I couldn't quite figure his role in Tandang: The authoritave father, the loyal uncle that's always ready to help his niece and nephew? No! Artis is like a teenage girl so that's why he fits in with Peter and Abi!
