Think about it. Who had it, where was he? Ect....it's there. :: The IRS agents ex-wife just called him (EP 2) from PUSH, NEVADA. If you look carefully outside her window, it's that ugly sign from the slow dance hall in the daylight. (she isn't just some throwaway motivating character, y'all) ::The "clue" for epsiode 2 is "television" --- don't believe me? Check the dmvf.com site after every show on the West Coast. The new clue will be there. Kinda sucks, hey....at leats you won't have to guess long. ::Silas isn't dead, kiddos. He's no dummy. And that "knifing" looked way to staged. It's not important now --- but his "not deadness" will be later...just keep it in mind. :: Just for jollies -- call this number 1-866-540-5837 enter passcode 4321 -- it's SILAS voicemail. ::Those poor suckers on the pushyahoo site are have no idea how much time theye are wasting there --- by not being HERE. ::That stolen bible is more than a bible...kiddos....there is something within it perhaps that makes it quite a bit more valuable. And we are not talking money ledgers here....we are talking valuable intelligent - type information (?) Namely - I don't think Silas is dead because of his connection with Mary (sounds like she is the one he is talking to when the call is intercepted by Mr. Smooth, she is seen with the masked assailant at Sloman's prior to Jim's second arrival there, and the phone message on Silas' machine). Money is in the trunk - I think that is why the license plate changes from time to time to include an X (as in X marks the spot). The Bible is more than meets the eye (I also would not be surprised if we find out later that more is missing as well - in the opening of Ep. 1 we only see the contents of one of the two bags supposedly taken from the vault). Also Mr. Smooth did not seem concerned about the money but other possible exposure which may come from the missing Bible Now, I agree that this week's clue is television (for the reasons you mentioned above and the obvious odd nameplate on the TV - but what does that clue mean?. I really didn't get a good look at this episode (I got it taped horribly) but I've been thinking it also has to do with COFFEE MUGS I mean, think about it. There was a lady on the television (there's even an article about it) who was talking about their very own coffee mugs. and It's been a recurring object in episode two, from Dawn's name on her coffee mug to Martha offering Jim coffee. What you said about Sila's death having no connection to Mary is somewhat false. Mary has really gotten involved in this scheme (look closely at episode 1 and also a subtle hint in Episode 2) A strange thing is, I haven't really seen a lot of obvious clues in this episode compared to the premiere. I have the show taped as well and only half watched it last night but did pick up on the repeated attention given to mugs. And I think you misinterpretted my comments re: Silas and Mary. I'm saying he is very much connected to her - if you've listened to the answering machine message his sister asks if he will be bringing the pretty girl Mary with him. It is because she is very involved with Silas and we see her with his killer at Sloman's (episode 1 guy with snake tattoo is sitting with Mary in VIP room before Jim arrives), and she is the one talking to Silas on the phone as Mr. Smooth listens in. Plus she is the shivering guys reward for stealing the money from the casino in the first place. I think she set up the phoney stabbing of Silas in an attempt to get Jim off the case. One thing that struck me as odd, was what Jim's Ex-Wife watching on TV. It was a picture of a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. I remember a news story just recently about a hurricane in the Gulf as well. Maybe, it's just one of those indicators that the drama is happening right NOW. Of course, it could be something else... Why else would the show give him a doofus 30 year old Nash Rambler to drive around? The car is almost a character itself. Also I think Mary and Silas' secretary are the same person disguised to look like like two seperate people. I think Mary, although she appears to be villianous now, will turn out to be working undercover for the better good, and her secretary character sent Jim the fax to lure him to Push. Although the Mary character warns Jim to leave Push, this is just a ploy, reverse psychology on her part, because she knows this will further entrench Jim to investigate and serve justice. Silas is not really dead, it was staged, to return later in the plot. The town is controlled by drugs put in thier water/coffee/food and prosperity (large winnings at the casino)that is why they all go along with the agenda. "RE: "Crazy" theories" hmmm, I know what you mean...but weren't they trying to hide sila's death in the first place? After all, they can't find him. And those men from the Nevada gamming comission did admit Silas was dead in the form of a "suicide". Besides, Silas was acting very strange when he called Jim in the end of episode 1. His actions (enjoying the music) being somewhat jittery and holding a gun at Jim (as though he was forcing Jim to stay awhile) were very unusual and desperate. Also talking aloud and lying that he didn't call Jim shows that he KNEW someone was outside his residence. Silas did had the chance to kill Jim once he walked into his door, but somehow, perhaps he's forcing Jim to see the truth of Push Nevada.
