LAST EDITED ON 02-25-08 AT 06:34 PM (EST)Putting this rant in spoilers because live feed antics will no doubt crop up.
I don't have this "Showtime." The HG's know about it, because it's all they talk about when Showtime is not "on."
"Do you think they'll show that on Showtime?" "What will they show?" "Will they blur stuff out?"
When Showtime is turned on, so are the hampsters. They jostle to be the centre of attention and you can see them glancing at the cameras while they talk.
Even last night, during the, um, party, a mostly-naked Chelsea was giving lap dances to all the guys while yelling out "Happy Birthday, Daddy!"
That whole thing was put on for the "benefit" of Showtime. So was the Matt and Nat fight the night before.
Starting at midnight, the decibal level in the house goes up, and rises with each passing minute as the idiots all try to one-up each other to make sure the cameras are on them.
Nobody even talks about the "internet" anymore. Remember when Shan-man used to call us all big fat ugly losers? Now, it's just "OMG I can't believe I just said that on TV!" and "OMG I wonder if so-and-so is watching this on TV right now!" "Do you think that made it on TV??"
So much for this show being populated with DAWs who are hoping to land on TV after this. They have been replaced by a more sinister group of uberDAWs who are on TV right now and they know it!
The GAME has become secondary to all of this for everyone with the exception of Allison and Ryan. 2 out of 12 people. That's a pathetic gamer:DAW ratio.
I say pull the plug on Showtime.
Perpetual *headbutt* compliments of Rolly.
