davwav02 401 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Daytime Soap Guest Star" 08-21-06, 08:24 AM (EST) "Live Feeds - Monday, August 21" Currently, all houseguests are asleep. On Feed-1, we have what looks like the bug room with two people sleeping in it and two of the beds completely stripped. On Feed-2, we have an a$$ shot of the a$$, Mike, but it's hard to tell from this angle and it could possibly be someone else. On Feed-3, we have a large view of the red room with three houseguests sleeping in it. On Feed-4, we have a shot of a$$-#2, Will, sleeping, although he just rolled over a minute ago. All indications are that the Veto Ceremony will be held today. Usually they are held mid afternoon, probably 2-3 BBTime, but as of right now, there is no word on when it will occur.   Top

The combined sadness of the Legion of Janelle if this happened would obliterate the supply of mood disorder drugs in the US.   Top

"RE: POV meeting" When I said eliminating both people nominated, it would only have a great impact if nobody (including the HOH)is told this until the Thursday live show, then it would be a total shock to everyone, players and viewers, since it has never been done before. I think doing something like this every season, anytime during the game, would really make the players think twice about nominating possible "pawns". Having this uncertainty as to when BB will pull this out of the hat will really bring the game to another level. I think perhaps for next season BB needs to think of other ways to make the game more interesting, since the coup d'état basically did not work. I think doing the double elimination would be something different and not done before in BB games.   Top

How about next year BB also has a random "Super POV", with it you can save not only yourself and/or someone currently nominated, but also up to one or two people, who you believe may be nominated if you use the POV. So, for example, when Janelle won the POV and Kaysar was placed in her place, she could have used this "Super POV" not only to save herself, but to save two other people in the game, who she believed were in danger of being nominated at that stage of the game (she would have saved Kaysar and Howie) Or if someone like Kaysar had played for Janelle, when she was nominated, he would have saved Janelle, plus another person (such as Howie). Again, the "Super POV" would not be disclosed until prior to the POV meeting and only to the person who won it, this way it has more of an impact on the game, because nobody would see it coming. Hey, I can't lie, I am a Janelle, Kaysar and Howie fan! I am just thinking of new ideas to make the game more interesting and a bit more different next year, since it is becoming somewhat predictable to the viewers when the aliances are defined.   Top

Will sees Dani as both his ally in the LOD and his biggest threat. He doesn't want to boot her, because he knows she'll have influence with the other boots if he does, but he wants her stripped of her partner James so that she's not as much of a threat to him. He's very worried about the possibility of a Dani/Erika/James alliance targeting CT. He's been worried about it for a while. But if he doesn't act to prevent it now, he might not get another chance. Once Janie goes, Dani might realize that CT is expendable....   Top

She made a truce with Jani, but he didn't. She also wants to get closer to Jani to convince her to go after CT, especially if James is gone this week. I am also not convinced that Jani has fallen for Will's line this time or if it is a line. Jani right now will stay at all costs and if Will/Boogie wants what she wants, she'll work with them. What else does she have. We'll have to see what happens next week if someone other than Jani wins HOH. Will has been talking his idea with Boogie for weeks to keep Jani and Danielle for final 4. At this point it probably would benefit everyone to keep Jani until the end since most have said they wouldn't vote for her.   Top

Will has said if him, Boggie and Jani are final 3, he'll step aside and go to sequester. I don't Janie believed that for a minute. You don't think Will could beat Jani at the end? I don't see him losing. The finale is still a month away and a lot can happen, so nobody really knows. But I think many people have a lot of respect for Will. They can always pacify their egos by saying they were beaten by the best. But all season long everyone has blamed Jani for everything. There is some respect for her success in the comps, but Danielle and James, along with others, are tearing down that respect. Howie will vote for Jani. George could go either way, but he admires Will. It is hard to say how the others would vote, but many already said they wouldn't vote for her, partly over the HOH redo she won. As far as a Will/Boogie finale, I'm surprised that many people really like Boogie and he'd get some votes.   Top

If James shows these character traits on a reality show, he has those character traits in real life. The world is full of people wearing "masks" to hide who they really are inside & these shows exploit that. It won't show you how he will act on a date, but it might give insight into how he may behave when the baby has been up for 6 days straight crying and work is demanding, etc. Now I do believe people feel they have more permission to act out on reality TV shows than they might in real life, but those behaviors will be present in some form during times of high stress even when they know they can't totally lose it. Now there are a few people who totally put the mask on for TV shows and will behave in outrageous ways that are not typical of them to get air time, or as game play. With James I can't imagine he could keep that level of negativity up as a front for air time if he didn't tend to that sort of negativity under stress anyway. Usually when they are faking it for manipulation or airtime there is some clues that they are putting it on (how many of those they show is up to the editors, but they like to show the boy I snowed those people with the crying confessionals and with live feeds we get a least more hours of footage that are less controlled). When they can't control it even when it is detrimental to their game, I think that is something they are not putting on just for show.   Top

I agree the TV shows are high stress situations. They are designed to make you display the behavior you normally try to hide from others. That doesn't mean that your stress behavior under a high stress sitution in a TV show could never ever ever under any circumstances be seen in real life. It's a tribe creation! "RE: Snidget" I just haven't met anyone (me included) who is completely differnet under different kinds of stress. They may have variation on a theme, or a particular pattern X under stress until they can't take it anymore than they Y. And fully stressed out anyone is not the same overall behavior as totally relaxed anyone. It is consistant enough for me that sometimes the pattern is the main thing that helps me know when I am stressed out. I'm good at pretending I'm not stressed out. Most people don't know from looking at me when I am stressed out (until it is really clear to everyone all at once, even me when it goes, it happens in a heartbeat). I don't always know when I am stressed out because I don't feel stressed out. The behavior patterns have been consistant enough over time that I can I sometimes catch myself behaviorally before I feel anything. Which has actually been pretty useful. I didn't use to know until I flipped out, now I can catch that sort of thing much earlier than I used to because the build up behavior-wise is that consistant. It doesn't matter so much why I am stressed out (illness, work, relationships, traffic) the how my stress shows up behaviorally isn't all that different. Kinda like the old saying what do you get when an asshole goes to therapy? A psychoanalyzed asshole. The person might have better control over being an ass when they are stressed out, but they will always tend to go to assiness when stressed out. They won't suddenly become a non-ass when they are under pressure. My rather annoying stress behavior would come out full force on a TV show. I don't believe I'd have a totally different one. It would go through my usual stages from low stress to so stressed I'd lose it, but I can't see me doing something I would never do in response to stress. Now I might do things I wouldn't normally do because these are not my friends, they are the competition, and this is a game, but I've done stress enough times to know exactly what my editing would be under stress. I'd just hope I'd have the honesty to say, yep, that is me when I get pushed that far. Sorry it wasn't pretty, I just hope it was entertaining.   Top
