A FantasyIt can be said that if it weren’t for the fact that gambling is illegal in Hawaii, woeisme would be an addict. So being the addictive personality that woeisme is, she has found a way around it, having her children on the mainland purchase lottery tickets for her.
She had found life in Hawaii pleasant enough, if not somewhat lonely, and discovered a message board called OT. Not that life on the island was not to her liking, just that it was hard to make friends when everyone she met would leave to go home to the mainland or Canada from where they came. And so she became a member of the “community” and began to adore its posters and think of them as friends.
There had been a tour, dubbed Bananapalooza, which started with Schnookie Palookie purchasing a large banana of the blow up variety, which then began a tour around the country to all the peeps who wanted to participate. Many peep meetings were taking place and pictures being taken of the peeps with the banana.
Woeisme was envious of all the meetings she was missing out on and began to form a plan. She decided that when she won the lottery (never doubting that it would happen) that she would bring all the peeps together in one place for a fun vacation where they would all be able to meet each other and enjoy the fellowship of peeps who cared for each other, despite the fact that many had never met.
And so it came to pass that she finally won the jackpot worth 389 million. Now being the humanitarian that woeisme is, her deepest desire was to pay back her cyber friends for all that they had done for her. She had, over the years she had been on OT, sent postcards to a number of its peeps and knew that other posters also had addresses for peeps she herself didn’t have. She also discovered that with enough money one could get the info she sought.
She sent each person a check for a million dollars and tickets to Los Angeles, explaining someone would be there to pick them up for a nice vacation—her treat. She told them to please not mention it to anyone and she didn’t inform any of them about the others, as she loves surprises. Their instructions were to look for a large banana, much like the one that had made its journey the previous year. To those who lived in the L.A. area, she asked them to pick her up at the airport, where they too would be greeted by her banana wielding staff.
Woeisme, not one to overlook the smallest detail, hired a crew of people and armed them with the inflatable bananas to greet all the peeps coming in on various flights and escort them to their limo’s, for a drive to the pier where the ship was anchored. Oh yes, woeisme bought a cruise ship and this was to be the maiden voyage of the Paradise Cruise Lines’ OT Holiday.
Woeisme was on board to greet her guests as they arrived. The first limo arrived, carrying RollDdice, Puffy and Minitroll and their families. They had met each other before and were speculating what woeisme was up to and now learned they were in for a month long cruise of the Hawaiian islands. Hugs, smooches, taking of pictures and WOO HOO’s abounded.
The limos starting lining up one after another for several hours as all the guests arrived and were welcomed aboard. It was early evening when the OT Holiday set sail. The children were well cared for by the staff who were hired to keep them entertained with various activities for all age ranges, so that the adults could have some free time to meet, greet, mingle and get to know some of the fellow OTer’s they had always wanted to meet.
Brvnkrz, cqvenus, Jims02andJimbo wanted to know how soon the casino would be opening for gambling. Woeisme informed them it would open in several hours when the ship hit International waters. They all decided to head for the bar, where Asrai, ballerina_of_doom, BennyBoy,deerhunter. Captain_Savem, greenmonstah, Glow, GrendelsMom, Immunegirl, J Slice, Miamicatt motormouth, nailbone, PhoenixMons, probably clueless, seahorse, SherpaDave and zombiebaby were already assembled.
Seahorse, who is into Karaoke, had taken the stage and was singing to the bar crowd. ballerina_of_doom was singing right along, while brvnkrz was dancing and having a generally good time entertaining everyone. Before long they were making up songs about the peeps who were in attendance. One song went something like this:
Now nailbone there is a mighty fine drummer and he likes to look at girls
Asrai is a sweety and round the room she twirls.
Greenmonstah isn’t green and she has perfect hair,
And then there is Glow, who really likes to swear.
J Slice sitting there drinking her Malibu rum
and Miamicatt looking stunning, fresh from the tanning salon.
GrendelsMom who tells the funniest stories
and SherpaDave eyeing women and acting kinda whorey
It is so nice to meet them all and tell them face to face
Instead of in AK’s bar and grill amidst that too fast pace.
We love you all as you are and wouldn’t have you any other way
We are so glad woe brought us here so we could play today.
Meanwhile in the gift shop library, tjstein, buckeyegirl, Schnookie Palookie, EngProf, arkiegrland I_AM_HE were talking excitedly about what a great selection of books there was to choose from. buckeyegirland tjstein, who both love a good trashy romance novel, were trading stories about the best ones they had read recently. I_AM_HE was pouring over the selection of sci-fi and marveling at the choices that faced him in that section. Arkiegirl felt as if she were in heaven in the cookbook section and laughed when she saw the “Spam Cookbook”, since it was already in her collection at home.
Later, the announcement went over the PA system that dinner would be ready shortly. Everyone made their way to the dining room, which was set up buffet style for the first evening at sea, and meandered around the room to see what delights could be had.
Deerhunter, who had never had lobster before, decided to try some for the first time. Captain_Savem and seahorse, both seafood lovers, hovered over the seafood bar, their eyes glazed over like nirvana was within the grasp of their fingertips, while RudyRules dug in to the New England fried clams and Silvergirl1 went straight for the crabcakes, before dashing over to the pizza bar.
Over at the pizza bar, Devious Weasel, Pepe LePew and Jims02 were already assembled and Pepe LePew was seeing how much of the pepperoni pizza he could fit on one plate when Devious Weasel was overheard to say “that was you?” as Silvergirl1 joined them.
Gathering at the fruit and veggie bar were Immunegirl, Anotherkim, Miamicatt and tjstein. Anotherkim was filling her salad plate with lima beans, Miamicatt with brussel sprouts, Immunegirl was after the strawberries and tjstein scooped up the green grapes.
After feasting to their hearts content Calamity C, Coconut, LeftPinky, greenmonstah, MTW1961 and woeisme were ready for a nice after dinner coffee. Since Starbucks was the major brand served on board, everyone got what they wanted before woeisme excused herself to step out for a cigarette.
It had been a big day for her and with her coffee in hand thought she would steal a quiet moment with her cigarette. But what she discovered instead was that Asrai, brvnkrz, cqvenus, Draco Malfoy, Schnookie Palookie and deerhunter were already thinking the same thing and were lighting up while commenting on the shock and excitement of the whole day and the excellent meal they had just eaten.
It was still a nice breather in this small group as they watched the sun setting on the first evening of the wonderful adventure they had embarked upon.
I will have to continue the story since I got carried away and have only used half the peeps who signed on for this. Posting a 5 question thread only created more of a situation since it may have added even more peeps to the story. I can handle it, no problem. If I misspelled any screen names, please alert me and I will change them. I only capitalized the noncapitalized names for the sake of proper grammer (to the best of my knowledge).
