LAST EDITED ON 08-09-04 AT 11:51 PM (EST)Our story resumes on day 6 of the cruise, with the OT Holiday preparing to dock on Oahu in a couple of hours. Our cruise guests have settled into a comfortable rhythm onboard and with each other. The announcement is made that the casino will be closing as they are about to depart international waters. A collective “nooo” is heard from the casino but the guests are promised more gambling later.
Coconut was just getting warmed up on one of the poker tables while chatting with brvnkrz and Jims02 near a black jack table where nailbone and SurvivaBear seemed to be doing quite well already.
Across the casino zombiebaby, J Slice and LeftPinky could be heard hooting and hollering as they set off the bells and whistles of some of the slot machines. Not far away Anotherkim was grumbling at the craps table, apparently not winning, but MTW1961 seemed to be fairing well, with a confused look on his face, as if the rules of the game escaped him.
MotorMouth and Moonbaby, at the roulette table, drinking watermelon martinis, were more absorbed in their conversation about recent movies they’d seen than the game going on before them and the winnings they were accumulating.
Up on the pool deck, CantStandToLook was flirting and talking dirty with Asrai, Immunegirl and PhoenixMons. SherpaDave and RollDdice were competing with him and they were all laughing and poking each other. FarmBoy was watching and listening to this group at play. They were making plans to find the adult toy stores when they got to the island and disembarked for the day and asked FarmBoy if he would like to join their excursion on shore. He said he would give it some thought.
Meanwhile, not far away in the hot tub, KObrien_fan was all snuggled up to PagongRatEater and sweet nothings were being whispered back and forth between them. LostScottsman was feeling left out but tried to make the best of it with emydi by telling her the history of good scotch. Augustgirl, only there to soak and relax, had seen and heard quite enough, so she left the hot tub and was greeted by MagicFingers who offered one of her now famous massages. Augustgirl said “yes” since she was quite ready for a little more relaxing.
Observing all the shenanigans, Sunny_Bunny and Ra_8secs, OT’s roving reporters, were taking notes and planning a monthly newsletter for and about the OT peeps. They were discussing how to keep tabs on peeps while in the ports with peeps scattering for sightseeing, shopping and fun water excursions. They decided to enlist the aid of Tigerlily, IceCat, FarmBoy and Kyngsladye.
FarmBoy said he had been invited by a group of playful peeps to check out the adult toy stores and he would go along and report on their antics. Or to bail them out of jail if it got out of hand.
Kyngsladye said she would gladly help Sunny_Bunny and Ra_8secs and volunteered to take the group going ashore for snorkeling, surfing and other beach goings on.
IceCat, being the awesomely helpful guy that he is, opted to follow the sightseeing group while internally contemplating the pictures he could come up with for the newsletter. No one knew that he had already snapped 15 rolls of film of candid shots so far. He and RollDdice were in cahoots on how best to animate them, which was also unknown to the rest of the passengers.
Tigerlily was not that into shopping, but being a real trooper, agreed to follow the souvenir seekers since she loves to write and is quite good at it. And she thought perhaps she might be able to find something to send home for her dog, who she missed.
The ship docked first on the island of Oahu at Aloha Tower in Honolulu. Those going ashore for the day disembarked and went off on their journeys. The toy store seekers had asked woeisme1 where the best toys stores were and with their instructions headed off in their limo taxi to Backstreet Bettys 2 miles away.
The beach going bunch set out for Waikiki and the shoppers were off to the Aloha Stadium flea market. Sunny_Bunny and Ra_8secs stayed with the group who chose to wander around the stores of Aloha Tower closer to the ship. Ra_8secs followed Meemo, Spanky68 and Sittem to Don Ho’s restaurant and their conversation on spirituality, while Sunny_Bunny went with LittleMissSmartyPants, KScott and tig_ger to the top of the tower itself to check out the view.
Later in the day, Weltek and NolayC, who were picking up post cards, ran into Sheila. grit and okaychatt who just happened to be browsing in the card store. They decided to have dinner together on board that evening and exchange stories of their sightseeing for that day.
Meanwhile on Waikiki beach, Kyngsladye had plenty to keep her eye on, with RudyRules, zombiebaby and J Slice surfing, Miamicatt and deerhunter soaking up the sun on the beach while reading books and tribephyl, Dabo clemsonbeav, PepeLePew, DSpunk, Okaloosajohn and tinybubs in a game of volleyball with some college kids who asked them to play. She was up to the task and while taking pictures was talking into a mini recorder the events taking place.
Over at the Aloha Stadium flea market Tigerlily was hanging out with Glow, Motormouth, greenmonstah, Augustgirl, brvnkrz and SchnookiePalookie. It was a difficult task at best since they were going to different booths, depending on what caught their eye, but Tigerlily was undaunted.
IceCat went with ballerina_of_doom, Anotherkim, EngProf, GrendelsMom, Puffy, Devious Weasel and Moonbaby to the Arizona Memorial and then on to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
FarmBoy was following his merry group of CantStandToLook, Asrai, Immunegirl, PhoenixMons, RollDdice, SherpaDave and Captain_Savem and LostScottsman who joined them at the last minute. His report was going to be a blast to write as well as read.

Since I am already over a thousand words, close to the entry deadline and have used everyone who signed on, I sadly must leave it at this for now. I would continue later (between competitions) if peeps do not object since the permission was for the competition itself. Or in the next competition if I have everybody's permission to continue the story. That would give me more time to finish and have it become a great story and if not, well, then at least I got everybody in and had fun doing it
