PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"SSC3 Awards! " |
First let me apologize to everyone for the time it took to get these results posted. No excuses but I want to thank you all for your patience. I promise to do better.Again, we all need to thank SherpaDave for setting this up and I want to personally thank him for the opportunity to help with this. Thanks Dave! And now I shall steal Dave’s words from the WSC2 awards. Mostly because these words still hold for SSC3 but also cuz I weighted the points system the same way. (If it aint broke…) A huge thanks to everyone who entered, everyone who read the entries, everyone who gave feedback and everyone who voted. Once again, the talent shown by the members of this board was outstanding. The broad array of talent was clearly demonstrated in the voting--every single piece received at least one vote. So are you ready for the awards? Good! First, a brief explanation of how the winners were determined. I used a weighted points system wherein first place votes were worth 3 points, second place votes were worth 2 points, and third place votes were worth 1 point. Make sense? I hope so! Okay, here are the winners! Yay! Non-Fiction (NF) Gold: Caroline by Devious Weasel Silver: Senescent Hearts by Wheezy Bronze: All Grown Up by L82LIFE

For the SSC3 we have two people who share this award. Both individuals provided feedback and caring encouragement to the participants of the SSC3. One stepped up and submitted a piece of their work in the contest. The writers and artists create their work putting a little piece of themselves in their submission. The best recognition that can be received is to have their work viewed and to get feedback. This contest’s Salmon Rushdie award goes to Buggy and Schnookie Palookie. Thank you both for giving words from your heart to the participants. Thank you all for a great contest and for your patience with my tardiness. Don’t stop now – keep it flowing The Writers' Rendez-Vous If you haven't yet, check this out! SmokeLong Quarterly

<ick> First thanks Sharkie. No apologies needed. We appreciate it -- it was a bunch of trouble. And thanks for thinking I'm worth a win ... Mostly, though, congratulations to the winners and the not-winners and to everybody who entered, and to those who tried and didn't enter and to those who got to read something they never would have tripped over otherwise. Everybody won. For those of you who tried for the first time, try again. Just an hour here and there. And see if you like it. And the rest of you? You all have stories and poems and pictures in you. </ick> Geez, I know nobody wants that much of Tech-ick. Just read it a sentence at a time ...
