"TAR Australia anyone?"
The entrepreneurs seem very annoying.

The dog breeder team seem weird

The models done well

There are a lot of tubby teams, but they all seemed to swim well.

9. "Ep2: You have a lucky 2 pen?"
Enjoying all of the teams except "Focus, Believe, Achieve"

But I think everyone will have been glad to see the return of the Ultimate TAR star, everyone's favourite, The Carabao! Nice to see that time and superstardom hasn't changed their "couldn't give a damn" attitude.

Like:
1. Mos and Mo - Some teams may think Being fat Arabs will slow them down, Mo and Mos think being fat Arabs is an advantage, although they aren't sure why. Lvoe them, but can they survive now Joey has stolen the lucky 2 pen?

2. Sam & Renae - Cute models, racing well, supporting each other, much more in the roll up your sleeves and do it camp than most models we have seen, but then they are Aussies!

3. Anne-Marie & Tracy - Picture the Bowling Moms without speed or agility, "Not more stairs!". Really supportive and really having fun (where stairs aren't involved).

4. Alana & Mel (well the paler one anyway) - One is cute, supportive and a really hard worker, one is semi-cute and a whiner, let's see how they get on as the race continues.

5. Kelly & Dave - Making a lot of enemies early on, but who isn't going to support the geriatric bikers!

Meh:
6. Matt & Tom - Farmers, who have never been out of Oz before, and tried to catch a bus from Indonesia to Vietnam, the tasks have suited them so far, but Aussie farmers/cowboys seem a better bet than their US cousins

7. Anastasia & Chris - Arguing couple.

8. Tyler & Nathan - Eric & Jeremy (The frat boys from TAR9) retread.

9. Jeff & Luke - Loads of muscles doesn't leave a lot of room for brains I guess.

Yuck:
10. Richard & Joey - The team that is so confident in themselves because no one else is confident in them. My money is on everyone else. This much misplaced self belief is amazing.

Gone, gone, and never called me Mother

Ryot and Liberty - But usually the team with the silly names lasts longer. I guess that playing poker and breeding dogs wasn't suitable training for a race around the world.

11. "Episode 3 - Chinese Cliche time!"
Like:

1. Alana & Mel - The Blondes Racing well together, a small sign that there could be friction, however so far so good.

2. Matt & Tom - The Cowboys Really seem to be enjoying the new experiences, and not suffering as much culture shock as I would have expected

3. Kelly & Dave - The Bikers Having fun and formenting trouble! I could go for a drink with these guys!

4. Anastasia & Chris - The Arguing Couple Not arguing as much as before, racing well and quite lvoeable when not arguing.

Meh:

5. Mos and Mo - The fat Arab Blokes - Should have gone this week, hope they start to entertain again soon. Stupid to have chased after the Fast Forward.

6. Sam & Renae - The Models - Big waste of an express pass, other than that racing well, performing tasks badly.

7. Tyler & Nathan - The Surfers Exactly the same as the Frat Boys, racing well, but not lvoeable.

8. Jeff & Luke - Team Dull - Loads of muscles and Father/Son lvoe, but not lvoeable.

Yuck:

9. Richard & Joey - The Evil Entrepreneurs Being unable to complete tasks and race well is bad luck, but finding the first clue in a search task is skill. Kudos on her cutting her hair though.

Gone:

Anne-Marie & Tracy - The Checkout Workers Gave us a lot of laughs, and they seem to have enjoyed themselves, but giving up on a task when you know you have 3 3/4 hours to complete it? Take an hours break and come back at it fresher, what have you got to lose?

____________________________________

Models "We're not just Blonde bimbos, we're more intelligent than most of the other teams" "So Hong Kong? Is that in Singapore?"

Meanwhile most of the late night life in Vietnam that night seems to be trying to cop a feel of Mo and Mos funbags (memo to self, if you ever go to Vietnam be prepared to be felt up by old women)

Cowboys come from "way out buggery in the middle of Australia" and seem impressed by Hong Kong "It's the Boom Diggity"

Male biker pulls a calf muscle getting on to the ferry, and admits to playing up the injury once the blonde models start massaging his leg.

Millions of fortune cookies! Only one per table has the clue.

Evil entrepreneurs obviously offend their taxi driver as he takes them for a scenic tour of Hong Kong, and now all the teams are chomping cookies. Sadly the entrepreneurs find their clue first, still as they seem to offend the earth just by standing on it we can look forward to them doing something stupid soon. Damnit the only fast forward in the race and they are off for it, followed by Mo and Mos.

Surfers off to the detour, Lion Dance or Kung Fu Stance. They choose Kung Fu Stance, as do the old bloke and son.

Blondes - Lion Dance, Checkouters - Kung Fu Stance!, Bikers and Models off to Kung Fu Stance as well, lvoebirds find the clue and go dancing which leaves us with the cowboys who opt for the Kung Fu.

And to win the FF both team members must have their heads shaved (blah Bhuddist tradition) female entrepreneur really gets excited at the idea. Yuck those hair extensions really mucked with her head, but she looks better bald. And they head off to the pit stop in Macau, last team WILL be eliminated.

Mo and Mos in trouble now!

The checkout ladies being unable to kick decide to change to the Lion Dance, which involves jumping on a table!

Bikers start trying to create a rude rhyme so they can remember the Kata.

Mo and Mos dancing too.

Evil Entrepreneurs win the leg

Surfers complete their Kata on the 4th attempt and smash six tiles with abandon. They are off to a posh hotel in Macau to glitz up and play Baccarat, each hand they win gets them a mah-jong tile, 10 tiles will spell out where they need to go next.

Cowboys Kung Fu with abandon, arguing couple live up to their name for 10 seconds and then complete their dance, Blondes complete, the checkouters meanwhile are almost dying from laughing so much, Bikers smash those bricks as do the models and team dull, finally Mo and Mos and the checkouters finish dancing, only teams on the last ferry!

I must say all the teams scubbed up very well in their dresses and DJs (with optional cowboy hats). Team Dull and team arguing couple just wander round the casino trying to take it in (I have never been to Vegas, but I believe that this is very similar).

Blondes finish first and are off to the A Ma Cultural Village still wearing their dresses followed by the models who had changed, whilst Mo and Mos (accompanied by a Gondolier) and the Checkouters arrive.

Surfers, Cowboys off

Roadblock: A logic puzzle where the teams must place 12 lanterns each representing a year of the Chinese zodiac in order.

Models lost, Surfers and Cowboys arrive. Bikers, Checkouters, team Dull, Mo and Mos and Arguers leave and arrive.

Blondes 2nd, Surfers 3rd, Bikers 4th, Cowboys 5th, Dull 6th, Arguers 7th, Models use express pass 8th,

Mo and Mos take 4 hour penalty, giving the checkouters 4 hours more to solve the puzzle but after 15 minutes they quit. A sad end to the episode.

12. "RE: TAR Australia anyone?"
This week the teams had to fly from Macau to Port Elizabeth in South Africa, team evil worked out a route that would see them miles ahead and arrived on the same flight as everyone else.

Teams then had to drive about 200 miles to "The valley of desolation", on arriving there they were told to go back to a site near Port Elizabeth where they could choose between building a Giraffe feeder, or smashing 4 pots at a distance using a knobkerrie (stick).

Hours of operation applied, but once in the park they had to use their 4x4 for a bit of off road driving, team evil idiots thought that they could steal a march on the other teams and got severely stuck. All the other teams went through and sadly an evil south african with a landrover pulled them out about half an hour later.

The surfers U turned them, and sped off to a stupidly high bungee roadblock

Lvoe List (finishing positions after names)

1) The Cowboys - 1 - I don't even object to the duelling banjos, for two guys who had never left Oz they are doing sensationally.
2) The Models - 5 - Still modelly, but still hot and racing well together.
3) The Bikers - 6 - Australian TV a lot more relaxed about swearing then! Mind you when I saw that Bungee I felt the same!
4) The Dull Team - 4 - Go up in my estimation for carrying their goat when they found out it was expecting and for Dads excuses after he said the best experience in his life so far was that bungy jump
5) The Blondes - 7 - Going OK, but when useless blonde has to do a task their season will be over. Liked the idea that the driver presses the clutch and the back seat passenger moves the gearstick though!
6) The arguing couple - 3 - He does all the work, she stands there looking cute not the worst team I have ever seen!
7) The Fat Arabs - 8 - Keep being saved by other teams actions, otoh represent brothers!
8) The Surfer dudes - 2 - Racing well, but a bit full of themselves, but they do deserve the worlds thanks for using that U turn

Evil Entrepreneurs - Gone Never worked out that treating people/goats etc. like carp isn't going to make them want to help you.

Thoughts on this weeks TAR OZ

Drive to the site where the dead sea scrolls were discovered. Now that is what I call a clue! The teams received it at Masada, and King Herod wasn't much on internet access.

Carry an 80kg cross down the Via Dolorosa Now that is a task! Glad the models chose the faux archaeology task.

Pit stop at the Wailing Wall!

Fantastic leg.

Dad proving to be a bit useless at the moment, saved by the surfers this week. Hoping there is a good bunch next week so the models can catch up.

17. "Finale!"
Glad Seana wasn't watching this, three search tasks in one episode seems a touch excessive!

Still I really enjoyed it, I wanted the models to win, however at the end of the day the dudes ran a much better leg.

A kit of the tasks were retreads, but still a good season, and I hear TAR OZ 2 has been commissioned, and with TARA 5 and China Rush 2 we are quite well supplied with races!

19. "RE: Season 2 Has Started"
Thanks IceCat, I hadn't noticed

So the competition starts in Sydney Harbour and the teams have to use logic to extract their cars, a task that every team except team Native managed easily.

From there to the airport scrum and to Manila, taxi to the market (PC Plod managed to spend all their money by misreading the meter) eat 8 Balut, and off for a ten hour bus ride on a charter bus where the local snake charmer lets them choose between catching four pigs in a mudpit or "a local dance" by the end only the Hippies managed to complete the dance.

Off to build a raft and paddle to Phil Grant, first team to arrive gets 10k and a Salvage Pass (either get an hours head start next leg, or save the team that arrives last this leg from elimination). Two teams drag locals in to help them build their rafts (Boo, Hiss)

First Impressions

1. Ross and Tarryn - Dad and Daughter.
If he is an ex Aussie rules player then I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him, raced well and built a good raft. Rosses speech about how much he wanted to run the race with his daughter send shivers down my spine. I dub thee Team Aussie Rules.

2. Kym and Donna - Not sure which one is which yet but they look like this seasons Bikers an older couple who will race hard, swear, and generally be entertaining. You are Team Phryne (because either Donna or Kym has the same hairstyle as the divine Miss. Fisher)

3. James and Sarah - You run faster in heels than in trainers, and you think a ra ra skirt and g-string are good for pig wrangling? I'm not sure how they got such a good finish, but I suppose they are racing well. You have to be Team Cougar.

4. Sue and Theresa - Hairdressers! Really? I can't think that you have any customers with your barnets, I also think the aura cleansing spray could become annoying very quickly. Nothing more appropriate than Team Hippies.

5. Sticky and Sam - Are going to run into big problems if they have to drive a manual car as their driver only has one hand, seem much nicer than a team of Alphas have a right to be. Will always be Team Sticky.

6. Joseph and Grace - Winners of "best swimsuit" for this episode, seems like he doesn't think she is going to be much use then she chugs down the Balut and wrestles pigs like a pro. Team Tops.

7. Michelle and Jo - <OMG> it's Kami and Karli from TAR 5, after all who doesn't like a pair of arguing blonde twins, seemed OK at the start of the episode, not so much by the end. Have to be Team Doublemint.

8. Shane and Andrew - Pleasant Police Officers, too much running not enough thinking makes them Team PC Plod

9. Adam and Dane - Another alpha male team who may be jumping before looking, were lucky that other teams were as bad at raft buildiong as they were. Nice to see some Indigenous Australians taking part considering everything. I dub thee Team Native.

10. Paul and Steve - Alpha male team who think far too much of themselves, really not sure why they weren't penalised for getting assistance with the raft building. Team MIBIII you are.

11. Lucy and Emilia - Two Italian girls who race not well, but continue thanks to other teams generosity. I dub thee Team Italia.

Next Week, Delihi! Trouble for Team Cougar! More Dancing! Cows knocking over milk bowls! And Grant is unable to check one team in!

Native from the Latin for Born.
Useless as ##### on a Bull. Got to love those Australianisms

20. "Series 2 continued"
Ep 4

A lot of the tasks seem to be recycled from TARA or TAR, however that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I was so wrong about Sticky. He drives a manual car so much better than his partner.

Thought the "Must Vote U-turn" was a great idea, shame it didn't take Paul out of the race.

I also liked the horse racing challenge, generally luck, but a modicum of skill.

How the heck are the Italian girls surviving? In the middle of every leg they are a couple of hours behind everyone, and then by the end another team has blown up and there they are second from last!

Now that is a new task! This one has to show up on TAR

Teams went to Paris, and ... had to cook a soufflé to Cordon Bleu standard at the Cordon Bleu!

All this and cheese, stolen taxis, I mean HUGE cheeses, Cuba and cars that (in some weird way) actually seem to predate the internal combustion engine.

Coming next week - at least three teams get a different car as theirs have given up the ghost, twins cry (again) a big fight over the stolen taxi, and we make our way to Australia? (well that didn't last long)

Soufflés! Now that was genius, maybe risotto in Rome next time.
