"RE: S11 Ep 9 East Coast Update Thread" Oh crap, the Jamie part got in the heading even though I made a bunch of spaces. What is wrong with the board? So, the atlatl challenge was for RC. Judd won. They go to the Jamie spoiler restaurant and Jamie chooses to go last because he feels bad about his earlier behavior. This fits the Jamie boot info.   Top

"RE: S11 Ep 9 East Coast Update Thread" I've been trying to log onto the message boards for a half hour. Our story thus far: first challenge was a reward challenge. Reward is food, everyone will eat. Castaways had to throw an indigenous weapon similar to a spear into a collection of concentric circles. The closer to the center determined how great a meal you received. Judd was first, received steak and lobster. Cindy second, chicken and vegetables. Danni third, spaghetti a meat sauce. Jamie, who was fourth in the contest, gave up his spot in penance for his behavior the past week. Stephenie moved up to fourth, hamburger. Gary fifth, slice of pizza. Rafe, sixth, ham and cheese sandwich. Bobby Jon seventh, baked potato. Lydia eighth, fish. Jamie ninth, nuts and dirty (but boiled) water. Judd was given the opportunity to invite 2 people to his table. He invited Bobby Jon and Stephenie. They shared food and open bar. Judd also received a clue to individual immunity idol.   Top

"Idol clue" Judd shared the clue he received with the rest of the tribe, at least sos far as it was on the ground. Gary tells Jamie he's voting for him tonight, has to keep the 6 together. Jamie's sacrifice at food reward doesn't seem to have gained him much in way of good will among the tribe, they are still annoyed by him. Tree Mail: balance challenge. Several people are practicing along the sides of the temple.   Top

"Immunity challenge" Wow the board is slow tonight (not the posters, the time it takes for a post to register). Immunity challenge: make way across balance beam untying two planks as they go. First 4 to cross finish line with 2 planks move on to next round. On second round use those 2 planks to move across a knotted rope bridge (moving one plank in front of the other as they go). First 2 to reach platform move on to final round. For final round navigate a 2-line balance bridge. If they fall into water they go back to the start. They start across the balance beam. Jamie the only person to sit down to untie knots. Stephenie does a face plant off the beam. Gary in the lead. Everyone working on second plant. Bobby Jon falls off, must go back to start. Judd's foot touches, he must start over. Stephenie first to complete first task, Gary, Jamie and Rafe also compete in second round. Second round action: Gary falls off and starts over. Rafe has a slight lead. Jamie ahead of Stephenie. Gary falls again and is out. Rafe finishes first, Jamie second. They move on to final leg. Two-line rope bridge. Jamie moving well, Rafe falls off and must start over. Jamie finishes and wins individual immunity.   Top

"RE: Immunity challenge" yeah, it took me more than ten minutes to open Spoilers and at 25 after there was no east coast thread, so I started one, and it took a few minutes for the post to register. Thought for sure I'd end up starting a duplicate thread.   Top

It wasn't that I don't like him, just how it happened. He was still holding both ropes and fell forward, then kinda spun around still holding the ropes so he was hanging on, but his face was underwater, then he let go and I think he did another flip before actually falling into the water. They showed reaction shots from all the other players watching from the sides, and you could see they were all cracking up too. Aside from that, he seemed to do a great job in that challenge. Unfortunately, close doesn't count in Survivor.   Top

Gary is certain he's going tonight. Stephenie looked him right in the eye and told Gary she'd tell him if she knew he was going home. Gary and Judd out looking for the idol. Gary sees Judd, Judd is looking up into the trees. Gary finds this odd since Judd told everyone the idol was on the ground. Gary (see, QB's do have some brains) surmises Judd was lying (horrors!) and starts looking up. (Obviously my snark meter is working tonight) Tribal council. Danni, at this point you wonder who you can trust, it's part of the game. Rafe agrees, there's a lot of paranoia at this point in the game, you always wonder what people are talking about. Gary says each individual must decide for themselves whether can lie in this game and keep you own moral integrity. Gary and Judd both deny having lied during the game. (Jiffy, he sneaky). Cindy asserts you can't make it through the game without lying, everyone will lie before the game is over. Jiffy asks for individual idol, Gary finally stands up and gives it to Jeff. Voting: Judd first, vote not shown. Jamie second, says sorry, vote not shown. Lydia, vote not shown. Cindy. Bobby Jon, votes for Stephenie. Danni, votes Stephenie. Gary, vote not shown. Stephenie votes for Bobby Jon. Who did I forget? I left somone out. Votes; Stephenie, Stephenie, Cindy, Bobby Jon, Bobby Jon, Bobby Jon, Bobby Jon, 10th person voted out, first jury member is Bobby Jon. (I must rush over the Loser Lodge to make very special preparations for his accomodations.)   Top
