"Interesting Phrasing" I find the use of "POW Exchange" instead of "kidnapping" to be awfully interesting. Perhaps as part of the reward, POWs are exchanged between tribes. The winning tribe gets to choose one person from the other tribe to spend the day at their tribe AND gets to send one person from their tribe to the losing tribe. This could lead to how Bobby Jon gets booted by Ibe and Steph. Whoever goes to Ulong says "You two vote out the potential challenge stud, then when we merge at ten you two can side with me and xxx". The upshot being, of course, that there is no merge at ten.   Top

Over in the other thread I agreed with most things you said (the kidnapped thread). I think most people immediately thought the fire challenge was next week between Ibe/BJ and Steph because of the title. If the title is in reference to the fire starting challenge and loser goes home then I would think all three Ulong go to TC this week. I just think if the fire starting challenge is this week, MB would give everyone some type of clue that there is a different type of TC.   Top

"RE: Interesting Phrasing" Thanks, dweeze, you reminded me of why I paused about the wording of a ? in the JTS game... I think it is a POW type thing where the tribes get to exchange someone for the IC--maybe this is what CMC thought of as the kidnapping---I was trying to reconcile my thoughts of how a "kidnapping of sorts" could occur during the show, but all 3 of the Ulong go to TC so the fire challenge could occur in Ep. 8 the Neand. Man...an apt title for that. I think You HAVE GOT IT.. So Ulong loses RC and don't get the MREs--no challenge shots because that is always a stupid one in my opinion.... The two tribes come to IC and Jiffy tells them POW exchange..who gets to pick depends on who goes, if each tribe gets to capture one, it will most likely by TOm and BJ that switch...(if the tribe gets to "sacrifice one" to the other tribe it would be Ibe and Caryn/Janu/Katie... imho...but I think it's the first scenario) Maybe after the POWs are chosen Jiffy tells them, Oh, yeah, they don't participate..so both Tom and BJ are on the sidelines.... So it's either 2 vs. 2 and Koror sits out 5 or all 7 Koror participate and any person can go as many times as they want...sort of like the challenge in All Stars where Rob kept going for his team and won it single handedly (the Sue/Rich incident) Maybe it's balance related and Ibe can't do it so Steph takes over for him and keeps going for Ulong over and over until they lose!!! Poor BJ loses without getting to participate and has to go to TC and then Ibe finally is ousted bc of his poor IC performance (sort of ironic James had nothing to do with it) and then next week, its BJ v. Steph in the fire challenge....Neand. Man!!   Top

A Koror goes to Ulong and an Ulong to Koror? Koror could sit out the Ulong but whoever was switched to Ulong would have to participate.   Top

I'm not sure, but I think he wouldn't. HE talks about going off by himself and praying in the Muslim manner) f) no - be good for a lone wolf bonus if true, but seems like a silly option. c) maybe, but not if BJ is kidnapped/echanged/POWed as Koror reward (lot of spec here, though) e) maybe, if this is after IC and the return of BJ, and they are contemplating or waiting on the TC hour. g) always an option. E) seems to be the most likely, followed by g), and C) (if there is no kidnapping)   Top

I think this looks very much like the Ulong beach and the RC is the SOS challenge where they would not leave their own beach. JMHO.   Top

They bring the flag with them to the IC, then they bring it home with them, toss it against the log and sit down and mope, alas, another IC loss. It is off to TC for Ulong!   Top
