"Sorry Team Rudy...SEAN wins" |
Here's why:Sean changed. The change began when he saw the alliance vote Jenna off. He then realized his power in leading the alliance, though he truly was not one of them, partaking in the sniping and backbiting and strategizing. He laid low. In tonite's episode he really took the ultimate Survivor outwit, outlast, outplay move when he invited Rich, rather than Kelly, for breakfast. He finally acted in a way that meant someone would not like him, something that goes against his nature, but that he realized was a must-do move to win the million. He had to bond with the King himself, Richard. And so, the breakfast became a kind of bonding session between Richard and Sean, and they will be the final two, ensuring that first the girls and then the ultimate follower..Rudy...goes. Sean transcends tribe lines..because of his underlying personality needing people to like him, they do...that is except for Jenna, who is resentful his thoughtless alphabet strategy lost her her berth on the island. She stares darts at him at the TC. Thus her comment in interviews of "no comment" when asked if she likes the winner. She has, however, said she likes Richard and Susan and that Rudy is funny. Even Susan and kelly and Rudy will vote against Richard, and for Sean, seeing Richard as a backstabber for not allying with each of them to the bitter end. Sean will win the final two by a landslide.

Jenna's "no comment" is nothing more than the fact that they all signed agreements that they will owe CBS 5 million dollars if they give ANY hints about the winner. She wasn't saying "no comment" because "if you cant say something nice say nothing at all " she was saying it because saying something nice about her feelings towards the winner would mean "litigation."

Interesting... And possible. However, trying to get on Richard's good side is not always a good thing (Remeber Greg's flirtations?) If it's down to Sean or Richard, Sean may get it. Ditto for Sean or Susan. Sean would lose to Rudy or Kelly. Assuming, as everyone seems to be doing, that Kelly's voted off next week, that would leave a final 4 of Sean, Rich, Susan and Rudy. I don't think they'll turn on Rudy, cause he's not a real threat in the physical challenge that will determine the final 2 (whoever wins gets to choose whom to go against.) However, I feel Richard's voted off next week (maybe Sue and Kelly reconcile), leaving a final 4 of Kelly, Sue, Sean, and Rudy. Kelly and Sue will vote Sean off. Sue wins the physical challenge, goes against Rudy, and, Rudy wins!

You predict Sue wins a physical challenge???? She has never won a challenge and in fact has lost most. She didn't even attempt the jungle rope walk challenge..she sat it out. Most of the time she barely breaks a sweat and doesn't seem to even try. She is the LEAST physically capable of any of the original challengers. I will wager she NEVER wins a challenge. And that may be her undoing (didn't we hear somewhere that the 4th and 3rd off are gotten off not by votes but by losing physical challenges...the most likely to lose such challenges is clearly Susan..the most likely to win is Sean).

Sue against Richard and Rudy. She has a good chance at winning is that scenario. I stand by my prediction.

>didn't we hear >somewhere that the 4th and >3rd off are gotten off >not by votes but by >losing physical challengesWe've heard it lots of times on the ss.com board. The problem is that it is NOT TRUE. The only evidence for it was one quote from a CBS spokewoman in the Boston Herald. The evidence against it is the design of the CBS web site (with voting columns shown for these eliminations), the TV Guide listing for episode 13 (describing 3 tribal councils), the format of the Swedish show ("Expedition:Robinson") from which "Survivor" is copied (with votes all the way down to 2), and every other article on the show, including those from before the show aired, when Mark Burnett had no reason to mislead because the show might bomb (think "Big Brother"). I agree with your main point, though; Susan is unlikely to win immunity, no matter who is left. She has to know that too. This gives her more reason to double-cross Dicque (who is likely to win it) as soon as Dicque doesn't have immunity. Sean, on the other hand, reminds me of the villagers in old Dracula movies, cowering away from the vampire's castle. This guy is so scared that he's worthless as a partner for more than one vote. But, for this next vote, he's the swing vote. If the editing about Kelly was intended to mislead (and I think ss.com has shown that each episode's identified target always has survived), Kelly will not get the boot In Episode 12. If Sean is not immune, he is the natural target. I think this MAY temporarily stiffen his backbone long enough for him to participate in the overthrow of King Dicque. The Tagis will thus demonstrate that Rich taught them well when he identified Gretchen as the first Pagong to go, though I do not think that Rich will be happy that the other participants in this training session were such good students.

It's very simple.. Sean can't win it all unless Sooozin hurts her hand in next week's episode. Otherwise, he is leaving next week. I think he is the obvious choice to go next week due to the fact they were so close to booting him this week anyhow.

LAST EDITED ON 08-09-00 AT 11:47 PM (EST)1. Sean could win immunity next week (he has the best chance given his competitors) 2. Richard, Rudy and Sean could decide that it's time for the men to rule Rattana. Three trumps two. Susan or Kelly could hit the road. They could even conspire with Susan that Kelly has got to go. Susan would probably not argue at this point. 3. Where is the weak link? Susan - Kelly Richard is smart...he'll exploit that weak link... Richard thinks Sean is cute (did you see the twinkle in his eye when Sean set sail for the yacht?) His "new" alliance has been formed, scrambled eggs sealing the deal.

It seems to me that Sean and Rich had the perfect opportunity to discuss their strategy over breakfast on the yacht, without having to worry about anyone but Jeff overhearing their conversation. It just makes much more sense to believe that Sean has been part of the alliance all along. His A-B-C strategy was just too convenient with all the Pagong names at the beginning of the alphabet, and just when it got to the Tagi names, he suddenly realized this was a game?! Give me a break... this man is a doctor, and obviously he isn't as dumb as he appears.

Come on! Jenna's the only one that doesn't like Sean? Let's look at the jury:Jenna- Would vote for anyone but Sean, given the way he put a target on her head. Colleen- Voted against Sean the past two TCs, because she thinks he betrayed her whole tribe. Gervase- Voted against Sean as he was being voted out. Same reasoning as Colleen. Even though Dicque and Soozin are the masters of the TA, they think that Sean should have warned them about the TA and joined them in a counter-alliance. Greg and Gretchen are wildcards for now. Now the remaining contestants- Kelly- voted against Sean in two of the last three weeks. Clearly resents the breakfast snub, and his cozying up to Dicque. Soozin- "Grow some bawls!" Come on. When the redneck thinks you're stoopid, you've got a problem. The only way Soozin votes for Sean is if he's up against Dicque and he stabbed her in the back. Dicque- He didn't want Sean in the alliance in the first place. Heck, he's probably going to target Sean to get him out of the immunity challenges right after they take Kelly down. If Sean does manage to get into the final two, and Dicque's in the jury, the only person he'd prefer Sean to is Kelly. Rudy- Total wildcard, he's just playing the game and impossible to read. But we don't have to read him, because he won't be in the jury. Looks to me like a guaranteed five to six votes against Sean in the jury. He has absolutely no chance. Now transfer to the Rudy train at the next stop.

LAST EDITED ON 08-10-00 AT 00:00 AM (EST)Here's the votes, when Sean faces down Richard: Rudy: Sean Kelly: Sean (will hate Richard more than she hates Sean--remember the image of her stabbing the tree trunk while dissing Richard, the guy she compared to the devil) Greg: Sean (thinks Richard is more of a royal jester than a king) Susan: Sean (will despise her good buddy Richard for betraying her) the other three (Colleen, Jenna and Gervase) may well vote for Richard, but that's it. Choo Choo!

Not that I'm accepting that it's Sean vs Dicque in the final two, but if it is, I don't think you can just chalk up Rudy's vote for Sean. Dicque has gotten Rudy this far, and Rudy and Dicque are a lot closer on the island than Rudy and Sean are (not that way, he's a military man dammit!) so I'd put it at least four to three against Sean. That, and we'll have to see how Kelly votes. If she goes down in a male-female 3-2 vote, she may blame Sean for her demise and vote against him. And if Sean can't beat Dicque in the vote, who could he beat?

Sean may indeed have changed....but it's the same old Richard.... Wasn't he telling Rudy on the beach while the immunity challenge was going on (after just breakfasting with dumb-ass Sean) that either Sean or Kelly were next?
