The Idea: 16 singles set sail in a reality TV cash-prize game that puts "Temptation Island" on a boat. The Execution: Its original debut of Sept 11 has been twice delayed by world events. Love Cruise comes from the producers of "Real World" and "Road Rules" people who know how to create situations and then milk them for every last ounce of interpersonal conflict and physical attraction. With a series of games and forced pairings, and a whole lot of swimsuit modeling, it plays in the premiere like good, dirty fun. The cameras are ever alert for moments of revealation, the casting seems to draw as good a bunch of people as an exercise in exhibitionism could draw, and the editing, the turning of these people's feelings of triumph and rejection into stories, is masterful.
