Got so hot I had to watch in the bedroom with the AC on- so I never bothered to come back to my computer last night! This show is great! I feel this show is the classiest one out there! I loved the behind the scenes look! It is taking a proven formula in reality tv and made it not so trashy. I liked how they just focus on the competitions and learning how to do TV. No following them around in a house that they are all forced to live together. My favorites so far: Kooky Hair Guy, Big Black Man, & the Two Gay Guys. Blonde chick is annoying but I bet she goes far. I also like the guy who was one of the two remaining last night that made it, Hans? He could get good. I personally think that the TWo Gay guys have the best "hook" for a show. FooDTv does not have any team chef shows and their personality works for TV. Can't stand Bobby Flay or Molto Mario~can you say EGO?   Top

I'm hoping the gay guys win - they seem to have the right combination of personality and ability. Although if Hans can loosen up, he may just be a winner. Blonde chick bugged me at first, but I give her credit for handling the challenge where they sabotaged the cake decorating. Another thing I like? The way the competitors treat each other. They all want to win, but they're willing to give their opposition credit when they do something well. It was a nice change to hear positive comments during the confessionals, as well as see the cheering when they handled the sabotage well. It's nice to see the contestants supportive of each other, and talk positive about other people's abilities. I liked Suzanne?, the low fat fiber queen. She seemed like the best presenter and most knowledgable. The blonde was an airhead. I also liked Hans. I would have been rooting for the big lovable black guy if he wasn't so egotistical "this is my competition to win". They say that on June 26th the public will vote between the top 2 candidates. How do we get from 7 candidates to 2 candidates in 3 weeks? "RE: Next Food Star" I am not sure exactly how but the finale is 90 minutes and Rachel Ray will be on it to help them with stuff and then I think the final challenge will be to do a 30 Minute Meal. I don't have cable (since I am a TV addict) I love cooking shows though having been weaned on the Galloping Gourmet (hic!) I actually worked on one once they are pretty interesting and give great swag, I got my Kitchen Aid Mixer and some reall cool bowls from Nobu from the show (and some lesser stuff). If I sell the store I'm going to do my darndest to get on one of the shows produced in Seattle (if there are any then) this was procuctions side btw, I'm not a DAW the other way.   Top
