So, for much of this series, I've felt that Melissa was the drama queen. But tonight, Kristin was really putting in a bid to take that crown away! I think that what we saw tonight is what she is like in real life. He sticks her nose in other people's business and then is upset when they are not happy with her. Did you see the look of delight on Kristen's face when Stephanie was upset about what she saw on the video. She got the same look of self satisfaction after Melissa's video. I agree that Kristin was out of line, but she sure didn't take Drama Queen honors away from Melissa. You conveniently left out the part where Melissa threatens, not once, but twice to choke Kristin. She also said in a very threatening way: "You just don't know ...," implying that you don't know, Kristin, what I'm capable of when crossed. Now I don't think that Melissa would choke her any more than I think that Kristin would get a restraining order. Kristin wanted to respond with some kind of comeback and that's what she came up with in the heat of the moment. And how about Melissa lashing out at Kristin having such a sheltered life (probably true but a hateful comment nontheless) when apparently Melissa at age 29 still lives with her mother? As said before, Kristin was out of line, but I also think her comments are not those of a total Buttinsky. I think she feels threatened by Melissa's "boyfriend." The comments from Melissa herself is no one likes this guy except her. The guy acted like a thug on the first show and it sounds like that hasn't been the only time. I see Kristen poking her bitchy little nose where it doesn't belong. In communicating with Melissa she doesn't once mention she feels unsafe or threatened by him just that Melissa doesn't care about how the other girls feel. Well what about Melissa. She is not feeling a connection with anyone and yet feels one for boorish fellow but she should kick him out cause the other girls don't like his personality. (I haven't seen anything else..maybe I totally missed it) that wouldn't be fair to Melissa. She needs to have a man too. Everyone is have a connection with Stephanie and no one with her. LAST EDITED ON 09-28-03 AT 06:20 PM (EST) Maybe you didn't watch all of the first episode, but there was a scene where Jerome was in the pool and really chewing out Jeff in a very abrasive way. As I said before, the producers have apparently chosen to show other footage rather more of Jerome's behavior. But the show certainly implies that Jerome doesn't sit well with the other ladies and with some of the singles by the way they cut to their reactions when Melissa continues to keep him on the island. Now maybe the producers are just doing that to shape their own reality. Wouldn't put it past them. But again as I said before, Melissa herself has said something to the effect that no one else wants him around and how Jerome acts differently when he is alone with her, implying that he is not so nice when he is with others. I certainly agree that Kristin should have just bit her tongue and kept her mouth shut, but her bio on the Fox web site says that she is a 21-year-old student and Melissa is 28 years ago. I just think that the older, supposedly more mature, Melissa should have taken that into account before she went ballistic on Krisin. She could have just told Kristin to mind her own business and walked out. Jerome went ballistic on slimey, creepy Jeff. I think that Jeff would get under my skin too. I would probably have gone ballistic on him the first night. Jeff is a total JERK, so I forgive Jerome for telling Jeff to get over himself. I think that Kristin is channeling all the stress of this experience into Melissa. She has nothing to worry about with Eric, so she's spending all her time critiqueing other people's relationships. I thought a lot of her and Eric's relationship up until now. But thinking about it, why the hell are they here on the show if neither of them want ot act on their feelings by getting to know other guys or girls?
