"No Valentine Love??!!" |
Did anybody else find it appropriately ironic that there was no episode of Temptation Island airing for Valentine's Day? I guess we shouldn't be thinking about possible cheating and breakups, et cetera on the national day for lovers. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but I chuckled to myself when I noticed it.

LAST EDITED ON 11-11-00 AT 06:37 PM (EST)I'll bet that Fox thought that they were suddenly exercising their "moral obligations" to the sacred day of Hallmark...um, I mean love. Maybe all the couples stayed together, and to celebrate Valentine's Day they threw a gathering for the other couples and had a Temptation Island watching party (I'm sure Kaya taped all of the episodes so he could watch himself sticking his tongue down Megan's throat repeatedly). "Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such." --Henry Miller
