Gawds know our host hasn't even begun to master it. Did you ever think Jiffy would turn out to be the merciful one? 'Six votes: that's enough. Mike, you need to give up your seat.' But this one (whose name I can't even be remotely bothered to remember) just keeps on hammering in the extra nails. After all, if we're going to crucify the poor kid, we might as well make sure he's stuck good and proper, because he's going to be carrying that thing until he graduates from college. Possibly longer. Ouch. Think Mike will run again after that little vote of no-confidence? Given that we've still got nearly a month of filming time to run, it's hard to believe these will be the only elections we'll see -- but that would be a serious blow to just about anyone's ego. LAST EDITED ON 10-20-07 AT 10:05 PM (EST) Welllll I think Mike got what he deserved. He had no problem getting in that camera and ALWAYS saying how Greg didn't deserve the gold star. At first I thought his reasoning might be right. It wasn't until this last go around that I realized it was personal. He NEVER liked Greg and he voted that way because of it. I don't really know if the others were a little more aggressive in standing their ground this time or what, but Mike didn't get his way. Instead Mike reaped what he sowed. He wanted & needed votes to keep his seat, just like Greg wanted & needed that gold star ($20,000) for school, and Mike found out in a very public fashion how much it hurts to be rejected. Maybe instead of the possiblity of Mike being so called "wounded for life", in the future he'll not be so self righteous and think about how he uses power (both publically & privately) especially toward someone he doesn't like but whose life he can affect and/or influence. For Mike especially (Taylor's not even in the ballpark yet), I think it was a much needed life lesson and a good one.
