However, several comments: first, this is the first time the JUDGES made the decision; in the past we viewers voted and supposedly selected the winner; second, almost immediately Antonio's "new" special was announced about his redoing his own place, which is pictured and looks like an abandoned, boarded up building; and third, does anyone know WHEN this series was filmed? Silly us, we thought it was "live"...or at least for the finale, but it is now obvious that it wasn't. And last but not least, what was up with redoing an ENTIRE house and cramming all of it into just a one-hour show w/the 'winner' announcement? Could it have been that the judges/network/whoever didn't want confrontations as had been on previous finales? Or was it because they didn't want to bring back ANY of the other designers to "help" the two finalists? There were so many things 'different' for this 'challenge'; yet, we kept feeling that something was definitely 'off' about this whole thing. After all the fawning Candice had done from the beginning, how could it be a surprise? While I loved the bedding in the green room, the wall color made me want to wretch. I was also surprised that the "winner" got more negative comments then the loser. But this was so obviously "planned" that I just turned off the telly and went to be. "RE: 9/13 - Finale" It looks like Antonio is not attached, so Candice can have her run at him now, huh? My gosh, has there ever been a show where a judge actually DROOLED over a contestant so openly and obviously?? Sick! Hey, I really liked Antonio, too, and got tired of Dan's obviously fake sweetness, but I thought judges were supposed to be fair and unbiased. Well, I guess that went out the window with Simon Cowell and his little faves, ie, the girls that he absolutely adores! Can we say Carrie Underwood?? In that case, he was totally right, and who's to say that Antonio won't become a huge star, too?? "RE: 9/13 - Finale" This season was the first time that I watched this show, and will no doubt be the last.
