"Boatman Clue Revisited" |
OK, a lot of people have been wondering about the Boatman Clue for awhile (why was it put in?) and I have an idea, based off of the finale last night. You see, I think that Stone Stanley wanted to find a way to get more people to feel more "connected" with the game. So, they threw in this Boatman clue for the spoilers, so that we would have the exact same theory as Kathy during the game. Think about it. The whole game, Kathy thought it was Michael. Most all of us thought it was Michael also. Then, there is the mutual shock between the audience and Kathy when Mike's executed. That's just my explanation though. They might have just thrown it in to screw with the spoilers. I just thought that it was neat how Kathy thought the exact same thing as we did for most of the show. ----------------------------------------------------------- The Quotes are back! 1. "But it makes you wonder... Why was Erik so conservative all day, but so spunky with the sheep?" -Stephen 2. "Screw you guys, I'm going home" -Erik von Cartman -----------------------------------------------------------

Good idea! I definitely think that could've been at least PART of the reason! I mean, even though they didn't know Kathy was gonna win by the time they aired the first episode (did they?), they had gone through enough of the quizzes to know that most of the players thought the Mole was Michael. Therefore, if ANY of those players made it through to the final round, the spoilers would've been right there with him/her. It definitely helped deliver a double "shocker" over the course of the season. One, all the remaining players as well as most of the audience were shocked when Boatman was eliminated. Second, most of the audience (as well as Kathy) were shocked when Kathy ended up the winner! If this was their intention, then they did a great job! It obviously gave them pretty high ratings and kept the audience entertained, which was their goal!
