"Liz gets food poisoning...?"
Eliipsis reported that Liz came home with a stomach virus of some sort, could this be the food poisoning, or has Nick decided to stay in the game, despite his food poisoning. You alone can decide.

1. "No food poisoning"
I don't think anyone gets food poisoning. We KNOW the river water is not safe to drink without boiling. We have been given HUGE hints that the camp site floods. It wouldn't surprise me if everyone gets some impure water and gets a little sick by the time S2 is over (which might account for the high weight loss figures reported).

If nick is sick right now. What if this "stomach virus" is just a bad case of the stomach flu gone wrong.Colds and flus go around and she mightve passed it to people on the ranch then she might catch it again before she comes home. Anyway if you were in australia for like 3 months would you want to go to work immediatly. Also MB probably told her not to go to work plainly because the company would notice her week of absence when she goes to do the boot interviews .

Just a thought

Or if MB told them that they couldn't tell their employer where they've been at all until the show was being promoted, so she comes up with the stomach virus story to explain her absence.

>I don't think anyone gets food poisoning.

*** I don't think so either - they were under such unsanitary conditions at all times (not just food and water). Kelly came back with intestinal parasites in S1, and S2 seems to be under much harsher conditions than the first bunch.

Might've just been the airline food.

This posted mainly to test my new signature block.

After having just seen the previews for Ep9 and the mention of polluted water, I think the foreshadowing is there to safely conclude that someone comes down with something. Cinderlizzie, maybe?

7. "They were probably all feeling sick"
it's very common for people who travel overseas and stay for a good length of time to get sick when they come home. Air travel alone is the worst for catching a virus. I don't put any spoiler value into any of the cast being sick upon return home. That's just myown take on it though.
