EMTBGRL 2514 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Survivor-themed Cruise Spokesperson" 01-30-06, 07:23 PM (EST) "JODI's HAMSTER!! "Frankenhamster??"" Did anyone else catch today the comment Jodi made about how she had a hamster and a dog, and the dog bit the hamster in half, and her mother didn't want her upset, so her mother SEWED the hamster back together?? Jodi said it was twitching in its cage! Her mother peformed surgery on a fatal wound and put the pet back in its cage and that was supposed to be better???? Anyone else see this as "bizzare?"   Top

But Jodi swears up and down that she has such a great relationship with her mother. I'd be real scared of a person who would even condider doing this let alone doing it. What ever happened to telling the kid the hamster escaped? I think Jodi has some real repressed mother issues that she needs to face.   Top

Supposedly she has a good relationship now with her mother. Either her mother was whacked out on drugs at the time or she's sadistic even when sober. What was even more bizarre was that Jodi was laughing about it as she was describing it. Maybe she still is locking up her true feelings or she has become totally desensitized.   Top

On many levels, I'm sorry to tell you this but, I don't doubt it's true. I don't know what her mother's intent was but, my father was very abusive. When I was a little girl, we lived out in the country. I had many pets. I had a cat that had a couple of litters a year, a dog that also had litters of puppys, pet rabbits and gerbils, all of which I loved so very much. I know this started when I was around 6 because it was at that age that I decided I wouldn't give my father the benefit of my pleas and tears when he would whip me. Unfortunately, at that point, he decided to change his tactics. When he would get angry with me, he would take me outside and make me watch while he killed one of my pets. I'm not surprised that Jody's mother did this. I don't know if she meant to be abusive or not but I can testify that this sort of thing, and worse, happens.   Top

If you want to talk about Jodi and her bizarre family, it should belong in the Individual Houseguest Forum. I'm not going to lock it, unless I'm asked, or see that the thread is drifting away from the hamster and her mother and into a primarily Jodi discussion. On this one occasion (don't take liberties) I'll let it go - for now. I've gotten a number of PM's, and we've all seen some messages, saying that you don't need mods - you can be self-governing. If you decide that what you really want to talk about is Jodi, not the mom or hamster, let me know. I'll lock it for you - no foul, no penalty - and you can repost in the other forum with my blessings. If you're going to talk about mom & the hamster, have at it. And, yes. Okay, first of all - yes, I hope to God her mother was high on something. Being off her butt on drugs made have made her think this was the only option. When I first heard it I thought the hamster was dead, but then she said something about the hamster moving. I can hope that the other women laughed because it just didn't hit them. As a mother to 3 children I have had my fair share of floating fish and stiff gerbils..They either get the truth (fluffy craoked) or Fluffy gets a shallow grave and a niffty story about an escape to freedom.. NEVER in a million years would I "fix" a pet in that condition..And even if the woman was high out of her mind, she had to be a bit empty in the head to begin with for that thought to process, period.. Is there really anything you can yell to the universe thats gonna fix that kind of background??? I hope mom never "operated" on any realitives who's passing could have upset her child..ewwwww!
