"Some thoughts on Episode 6" |
I though Lenny and Karyn really did well tonight. When Karyn takes charge, she is innovative and takes risks, and they payed off for them. While everyone was waiting for the horse to open, the ran over to the foot, got the clue and were on their way. They would have come in first, it seems, except for "production difficulties". What, did the cameraman need to go to the bathroom? When the Festers, the lawyers, and Mom and Emily got off the train, with only two cabs, why didn't they all pile into the two cabs? Surely six people can fit into two cabs. Are there rules against splitting up the teams like that? Even so, I bet the lawyers and Mom/Emily could have fit in one cab. When Lenny/Karyn arrived at the last point, the host guy acted like they would have been eliminated, had this been an elimination round. This was in spite of the fact that they had a time penalty, that put them either in first or third place. Or are they only in fifth place? Overall, a good episode. I was getting worried that Mom/Emily were going to be gone. Hopefully, they can move back up in the race next week.

Apparently they have to be accounted for in all the taxi arrangements. Two teams of two people would fit in most taxis, but two teams of THREE people won't work. >When Lenny/Karyn arrived at the last >point, the host guy acted >like they would have been >eliminated, had this been an >elimination round. They were vague with what happened with Lenny/Karyn after they got to "the foot". It looked like they had a lot of trouble finding a taxi... or a train. And then the "production difficulties" screwed everything up. My guess is that they would have been waiting for the taxi along with Nancy/Emily, which would have made an interesting fight for fifth. I don't think Lenny & Karyn's time bonus will get them out of last place at the start of next week's episode, but it will put them closer to fifth and everyone else.

Lenny and Karyn are easier to take when they are split up. Karyn was even having fun with Fabio. But next week they are back together and fighting.
