"RE: re big brother" Unfortunately, for you, this board caters more to the US version of BigBrother. So asking for information on the British version usually stymies the bulk of posters, this side of the pond. However, I did some checking around. Via Google. The newest Celebrity BigBrother, due to start on the 5th of January, has quite a slate of celebrities attached to it: Johnny Vegas, Anna Nicole Smith, Michael Barrymore, Jimmy Tarbuck, Macaulay Culkin, Dennis Rodman and Boy George. Maybe even Nancy Dell'Olio. I have no idea how many houseguests these celebrity versions start out with, so I'm guessing that 8 is probably correct.(Since the show only lasts for 3 weeks.) So, as far as confirmation, I guess you'll have to wait and see. I also found a bulletinboard which might be more apprpriate for questions about UKBB. Try your question there to see if you get a better response. On a side note, to american audiences, did you know that Brigitte Neilsen of SurrealLife and StrangeLove popularity came in 3rd place in the latest version of celebrity BigBrother? Sheesh that girl gets around.   Top

CBS reportedly announcing its own Celebrity Big Brother cast next week CBS is expected to announce a US version of Celebrity Big Brother next week, according to a single sentence in an AOL TMZ.com story. At the end of a story about the week in television, TMZ.com reports, “Meanwhile, CBS is expected to announce the next cast of ‘Survivor,’ and the cast of the first celebrity edition of ‘Big Brother,’ at some time next week.” Frustratingly, there is no additional information. If this is true, apparently things have changed since three years ago, when CBS president Les Moonves said there’d be no celeb edition of either Survivor or Big Brother, because no celebs were interested. That was pre-Surreal Life, though. Will this show be Big Brother 7, or will there be two versions of the series airing this year? Will CBS use regular celebrities instead of past all-star cast members, as was rumored? Might the American celebrities mentioned as possible cast members for the new UK celebrity show be cast members?
