Superman 3157 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Car Show Celebrity" 03-12-01, 11:08 AM (EST) "Final Analysis............" Just wanted to start a single thread that everyone could refer to before making a decision. We seem to have been a little disorderly with the posting this weekend (myself included). A few of you had some very interesting analysis posted in other threads but with little response, I think some of it may have been lost in the gaggle of new posts. Feel free to copy and paste it here. Side note: Voting will begin tommorow, rather than Tuesday, since the show airs a day earlier this week. CBS morning show's preview will be on Wed. so if you feel like holding off until then feel free.   Top

LAST EDITED ON 03-12-01 AT 11:33 AM (EST) I'll start...... I feel there is a very small possibility of Ogakor splitting up at this point(or any point for that matter). It's just not logical at this stage of the game for any member. No matter who they decide to boot from Kucha, it still leaves 3 Kucha for Jerri & Amber or Tina & Keith to align with if they feel the need to turn against their tribe and still leaves them with the majority vote. I still feel strongly that within the next episode many Kucha will learn what the Ogakor already know. Jerri is the ideal candidate to go against in the end. Therefore she will be carried along, unless somebody does something stupid. Then there's this: Alicia's missing in the second one. It's either after RC or after TC (possibly the next day) or she's just missing. Alicia outed herself as both a strong competitor and may have shown Ogakor that she feels like she is in danger by staying on the stump so long in the last IC. It will be obvious to the Og by the end of next episode that she is the most threatening Kucha left with the possible exception of Nick who may get his act together based on his lack of face time. I have no earthly idea about the IC, but would have to assume that it's time for a mental challenge. NOT Alicia's strong point. So at this point I'm leaning Alicia, along with the rest of the world, or Nick depending on who wins IC. I imagine that this IC will be pretty much thrown by the remaining Og and very competitive between the remaining Kucha (i.e. possibly how little LisLis gets her little feelings hurt.)   Top

"RE: Final Analysis............" oops sorry for tripping over my own two left feet. only the first picture showed up on my screen during my original reply and now i see the second one. It's a very, very strong signal that Alicia's gone but then again, it's something that could easily have been done by airbrushing to throw people off the scent (I'm a graphic artist who uses Photoshop in this line of work).   Top

I agree with your analysis of the photos and the immunity challenge being more of a mental challenge this time. I posted on another thread that I think MB wants to level the field at this point to give ol Rodger and Lis-Lis a better chance. I think the photos indicate Alicia wins the RC this week, but the others arent upset. I'll say either Lis or Nick wins the IC, whatever it is, and Alicia gets the boot....pure speculation of course, unless we get some real evidence in the next 48 hours.   Top

I think last week's challenge was more mental than physical. Plus, Rodger and Liz aren't really the targets this week anyway, so no need to "level the field." From a producers eye, it seems more exciting to have a physical challenge that will leave either Alicia or Nick (should the other win immunity) in a precarious position.   Top

I'm looking carefully at the pictures and this is what I see (hard to tell who's in the background)... First picture: (L to R) Alicia, Keith, Amber, Liz, Nick, Colby, Jerri, Rodger. Missing - Tina. Second picture: (L to R) Keith, Liz, Nick, Colby, Rodger, Amber, Tina, Jerri. Missing - Alicia. Could be the same walk to a RC or IC (or from a RC) for all we know with Alicia or Tina momentarily walking out of the picture to greet a dingo or be one with nature.   Top

On another thread they are comparing the picture also, Superman I guess your intent on one thread some people did not get. Anyways a person posted that they blow up the 2nd picture and there is a sliver of Alicia's bicep behind Amber's left shoulder. I do not have the capeability to do that so I was wondering if any of you can. Could be possilbe that she is behind someone and the picture is just perfect the MB to let us see. I think Alicia is getting booted this week but I am not sure this is the evidence. Can anyone explore the Alicia behind Amber theory??   Top

I blew it up using the Photoshop program and it is inconclusive what it is behind Amber... it could very easily be a branch or something in the background as it could be Alicia. But if it IS Alicia... she's considerably lower than Amber and it doesn't seem like that much of a downward slope unless she's way behind. I firmly believe this picture could be anywhere from the next 5-6 days (spanning Ep8 and Ep9) so to me it doesn't tell me much if Alicia is gone this or next episode. Just my own personal feeling in general that she's gone this week because of "common sense" evidence.   Top

On the CBS site they have a picture on the summaries from last week were everyone is sitting around eatting. I do not remember this from the show, not that it makes a big difference. BUT on another board they are saying that the shot is actually from another show like E9 and Tina has the IC neckalace and there is no Alicia or Keith in the picture. I am not sure what to think, but I trust the people in the message board. Can some tell me what they think about this picture. I don't see Tina in the 1st pic or Alicia in the 2nd pic. Also tried looking at a blown-up image and did not see any evidence of Alicia's arm in the 2nd pic. Although I agree these pix were taken on the same day, I am going out on a limb here and speculating that they are taken at different times of the day. I'm basing this on the lighting and shadowing in the pix and the order in which they are walking. I could believe that the pix could be lightened or darkened, but I don't think they would necessarily be changing their arrangement that much as they walk. Normally, they would basically stay in the same order. Also, I was trying to see if I could identify the immunity necklace around Keith's neck in either of the pictures and I can't. If this is like last year, wouldn't he be wearing the necklace if they were headed to the IC? For that reason, plus the fact that the lighting indicates to me that 2nd picture was taken earlier in the day, I am speculating this may be on the way to and from the RC. Any ideas or comments?   Top

I can't seem to find TINA in the first pic and then ALICIA is missing from the second one, with TINA appearing behind JERRI. I have no explanation for this just the observation. Any ideas?   Top

Lots of good info, but I would encourage people to not spend too much time on the two photos... Either picture taken independently raises some questions because of the "missing" person. Tina in one, Alicia in the other. But, taken together everyone is accounted for. If you look at everyone's clothing, they are wearing exactly the same clothes in both pictures. If these photos were taken on different days, the some of the clothing would change. Conclusion: both pictures were taken on the same day, walking to or from a challenge and all 9 individuals are accounted for, just not visible in both pictures. This is not to suggest that Alicia is safe, just that these photos are inconclusive and don't provide any additional boot information.   Top

Excellent suggestion superman... it is getting rather chaotic on here now and I find myself answering/asking the same questions on separate threads. Shakes made an excellent post on why Alicia is the next bootee and I'd like to see some more concrete evidence on why it couldn't be her -- otherwise we're going to have a landslide vote for Alicia (with "I-hate-Jerri" votes running close). The only thing I have seen is pure speculation, including from myself that perhaps Elisabeth is setting herself up for a big fall by exposing herself as a leader-type of person for the Ogres to take notice and exploit. Any concrete evidence it is NOT Alicia? (and let me be clear on this... voting starts TOMORROW instead of WEDNESDAY or starts TODAY instead of TUESDAY? the wee lil typo has me befuddled unless you typed it yesterday!)   Top

More than likely it's because there isn't any movement even being discussed at this point. Everyone in Ogakor realizes that to even it up 4-4 with all the tiebreaker votes still tight-knit Kucha knows they have would likely be suicide. So, it's 99% likely a Kucha member. Ogakor will tend to want to keep people who can't win IC's, and possibly those they individually think are likely to side with them in a later alliance. Here's what I could find on the remaining Kuchies: Liz: - Code spoiler IS helpful: it would be silly of MB to throw out a red herring to make us think Lis is safe, then have it ruined immediately when we're not looking at her much as a boottee anyway. Or it's real, and she stays - In IC, stayed pretty long, but generally looks weak compared to Alicia or Nick. - A center of next week's previews Rodger: - Dropped early, and they know he can't swim from RC in ep. 2. - In supposed survivorsucks helicopter spoiler, missing (along with Alicia)from group of 7 Nick: - Finally getting some confessionals in last week's episode - being set up to get booted, like Jeff was with the extra face time? - Not shown at all on next week's preview. MB may be trying to misdirect the viewing audience by pointing out personal strife to distract them from what will be a very political vote. - Looks strong generally, but dropped early in IC. - Jeff seemed to imply on the Early Show that someone betrayed him in some vague way besides Kimmi, and hinted that that person is a player as weeks go on. Nick seems most likely. Alicia: - "Go Kucha!" comment written to young fans in NYC indicates lack of identification with new tribe. - According to her chat, Maralyn's friends are: "Kel, Colby, Keith, Tina, Debb, Jeff, Mitch, Kimmi, Alicia, and I just spoke with Rodger the other day." After Debb's friends came through last week, when I idiotically proclaimed it wouldn't, this is looking much more helpful. Her buds = Ogakor minus Jerri, plus everyone in Kucha who's been booted, plus Alicia, plus "sort of" Rodger. Not Nick or Liz, who seem personable enough. - Not shown at all on next week's US preview. MB may be trying to misdirect the viewing audience by pointing out personal strife to distract them from what will be a very political vote. Arguing with Lis on Canadian preview. - Jeff commented that putting Kimmi and Alicia in a room just doesn't work. This might indicate that Kimmi and Alicia continued to see each other later, at boot camp. - Party in NYC with Mitchell, Jeff, and Jerri. Sure, they're all in NYC, but I can't see J + A really hanging out much with Mitchell. Perhaps Jerri gets tossed next ep. after Alicia goes and they all hang out? Jeff seemed to know her Jerri very, very well on the Early Show. Anyway, it makes it unlikely that Alicia hung around uber-##### Jerri in the outback for very long, as everyone who did except for her lapdogs isn't talking to her. - Not in picture of 7 people roasting something on CBS website. Keith is the other one missing. It appears there is only one unclaimed stick by the fire. - Looks really freakin' strong and was one of the last 3 on the post in IC. - Supposed Austrailian helicopter spoiler is missing Alicia and Rodger from group of 7 My pick, as of now, is Alicia. "RE: I'll take that as an invitation to bump my analysis/spoiler collection" I pointed this out on another thread and so I'll point it out here, too: Don't read too far into Alicia's "Go Kucha" NYC thing. For one, I don't expect ANY of these guys to suddenly get hot about Barramundi. They'll be Kuchas and Ogakors forever. My example was like your college playing another college in a sport, then going and playing intramurals. A possibly better example would be ROTC units from colleges competing, then you get into the Army or Navy and you're still pulling for your school, not West Point or Annapolis. So I expect the Ogies to still say "Go Ogakor" and Alicia and the Kuchas to still say "Go Kucha". However, I think we can just a little bit extract that Alicia is still strongly a "Go Kucha" if she exits early (like this week) before any infighting or betrayal goes on. In other news: I still cannot get around who #3 would be if the Source Code Theory holds. I think Alicia goes next IF she doesn't win immunity. I think Jerri follows shortly. I'm an adherent of the "Alicia and Jerri became good friends" theory. I'm still an adherent of the "Nick = Mole" theory. But now we can expect almost every Kucha to do some mole work.   Top

"RE: I'll take that as an invitation to bump my analysis/spoiler collection" Hmm... this is OT for this week, but for the #3: maybe Liz wins and votes to dump Tina? If she picks Amber: she's might get Tina's vote assuming Tina is rational enough to understand her decision (and Tina has been nothing but coldly calculating so far), she's probably got Keith's vote, and she probably has 3 Kucha votes. Probably Colby too. At least 5 votes, maybe 6. If she picks Tina: She probably has 3 Kucha votes. Tina hasn't fought with anyone in Ogakor heads up, and she might get all of their votes. Keith is her best buddy, Colby seems to get along with her, Amber and her have done "girl stuff" and Liz just kicked Amber off, and Jerri might fight with Liz (and has no personal grudge against Tina). Not that I put any stock in the spoiler either; the more I think about it, the less I like it. Just suggesting a possibility. And you have to agree that even if it's a fraud, MB probably wouldn't have it come out now if Lis was going next episode.   Top

I think I put a one-liner somewhere on another thread that Lis might keep Amber over Tina. It would make sense for Lis to keep Amber over Tina because 1) Tina would draw the "older" and Ogakor vote (Keith for sure, likely Colby and Jerri. Tina would draw Amber's vote if Amber was on Jury. Tina is the ONLY person who could possibly get Rodger's vote away from Lis. That leaves only Alicia and Nick for sure for Lis against Tina.) 2) Amber has been buddy/buddy with Jerri, the J.R. Ewing of Survivor. This could really give Lis some Ogakor votes, particularly Keith. Tina might also vote for Lis at Rodger's request even though Tina was voted out by Lis. Colby might vote for Lis over Amber. So Lis vs. Tina - Lis loses 3-4 (Alicia, Nick, Rodger for her) or 2-5 (A/N). Lis vs. Amber - Lis wins 4-3 (Alicia, Nick, Rodger, Keith) if not better (possible Colby, Tina). For the very reason above, however, it makes NO sense for Amber to keep Lis going into Final Jury.   Top

We had no idea about Gervase-X last year after that "spoiler" appeared in E7, but it became obvious that Tagi wasn't going to crack. To up the ante, MB produced the fake final four picture (with Gervase and Colleen). As a result, the overwhelming majority of people were STUNNED when Gervase was voted off 5-2. Then MB told us there was a real spoiler in the picture ... but no one (as far as I remember) figured out that the spoiler was that the two people EDITED OUT of the picture were Dicque and Kelly. Keeping this in mind, I think we should exclude ALL theories primarily based on the source code theory as potential spoilers for right now. I'm very skeptical about it myself (for reasons posted elsewhere in this forum by others), even though I had speculated about an all-female final three (including Elisabeth and Amber) prior to its appearence. What I do NOT want is for us all to get so wedded to such a theory that we ignore very real evidence, like we (OK, I) did in E6.   Top

Elizabeth is in serious danger. Here's how i see it playing out.RC is "boomerang toss" similar to SI's spear toss. I've seen pics of Colby throwing a Boomerang and Jerri looking pretty happy about her throw too. But I believe that Alicia will have the advantage,with this challenge. How many times have you seen her audition tape with her showing that particular skill? With an RC win what they get as a prize has something to do with it for me (Can she invite someone along?)Breakfast the next day kinda thing (like sean and RICH)she takes Keith(the two of them are missing from campfire meat-on-a-stick photo,from CBS site)...This begins the questioning of alliances.LIZ scours the camp for possible in's(canadian preview), believing that Alicia and her had gotten closer on their walk to Ogakor's Girl's night out,but now Alicia might be re-aligning herself. Colby also think's about Keith being gone and what seems to happen is that Liz and Colby are talking to each other ....alot! I firmly believe that Colby's comment about Jerri wondering how he could get any sleep after what he has done is refering to taking advantage of a cute little girl who was obviously throwing herself all over him.(This also give credence to her not wanting her friends to watch the show right,since she has a boyfriend waiting for her back home.)This leads for me at least to believe that .....sorry everyone....It's LIZ Of course this all depends on IC winner,But Liz couldn't pull that off either. I just wanted to add ONE more item regarding the “source code” theory, and then I’ll never think about it again. If this has been posted elsewhere, I apologize for the redundancy. I noticed a third “hole” in the source code this morning when I was poking around that is in line with the other holes found on the Final Words and Chat Archive pages of cbs.com Survivor site. The hole that I found is located on the individual profile pages for each survivor. There is placeholder code for each survivor that points to the Final Words and Chat Archive pages, except for Elisabeth and Amber. The easiest way to see it is to pull up the source code from a survivor’s profile page and search for the word ‘final’. I believe the whole “source code theory” IS a big red herring, just like the rest of you, but I thought it would be interesting to point out that there is this third hole. The most interesting thought, however, is that I’ve noticed in checking the source code for the Final Words and Chat Archive pages this evening that those holes have been closed, so to speak (no more placeholders for the remaining survivors). The code that I found this morning, however, has not been removed from any of the profile pages. Why not remove it all at the same time? Was CBS just waiting for another sucker to QA the site and then point it out to them and the rest of the world? If so, then I guess that makes me the sucker… Note to CBS: You folks can fix your site now.   Top

HOWEVER, as of a few minutes ago, the chat archives page and the final words page have been fixed by CBS, but the contestant pages have NOT. While I still am holding out that this is a red herring, could this be yet another oversight by CBS... did they discover the problem on the chat and final words pages by reading these forums, but not on the contestant pages because it was overlooked by us as well??? "Weight Loss Theory" The "Weight Loss" theory has been 100% accurate through the first seven episodes! It has been a tool used to confirm or eliminate bootee candidates under consideration. It has been a supplementary theory to others (burned hands, Debb's Friends, TC Torches, Etc. As the weeks go by the theory will carry less weight(so to speak), but it should not be left out of the "Final Analysis" given its solid track record. The theory states that several contestants were reported to return home showing evidence of "significant weightloss" ranging from 20-30lbs. Thos reported to fall in this category were Amber, Colby, Keith, Rodger and Nick. This information should be weighed against varying metabolisms, Kucha vs Ogakor food supplies, etc. I will continue to consider the weight loss theory until it is proven wrong. I don't see Alicia on the list??   Top
