PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

She is a seriously messed up little lady.I can't blame her, since her illness has probably gotten her a lot of attention in life. She seems to have a bit of Munchausen's going on with the sick sympathy. I mean if it is true that big things freak her out, how did she fly out to interview for the show?

LAST EDITED ON 01-17-04 AT 06:54 PM (EST)Hey, don't think I'm weird, but I swear I've had that same phobia before. I even called it my "fear of big boats." I was also afraid of anchors when I was younger too. There's something creepy about chunks of metal and their intersections with water--and that's exactly what my phobia was-- I wasn't afraid of being hurt by the boats and not afraid of drowning, so the "phobia" makes very little sense. All I know is that I HATED thinking about anchors, the chains that connect to anchors, or big big boats-- like steamliners or huge cargo ships. It was funny to watch Frankie shield herself from seeing them because I used to do the same thing (not NEARLY as seriously though-- I could tolerate seeing them; I just got really creeped out.) I have taken a cruise before though, so I guess I'm over it. I don't think it's a Munchausen thing with Frankie, because this actually seems like a semi-legitimate thing to be freaked out by, but I'm sure that's just because I was in the same boat. Ha, ha get it?
Edited to add: Do you think Frankie and I were both killed on the Titanic in previous lives?

Ok, I'm not knocking anyone for any phobias. I know there are some strange one out there. I too have a couple of strange phobias. HOWEVER, why would you agree to to a show in San Diego if you are afraid of boats. It's pretty common knowledge that San Diego is on the ocean, which is a large body of water, which is where big boats are gonna be. Would you go to Idaho if you were afraid of Potatoes? It just seems strange to me.

Although a nice thought, and don't get me wrong I like nice thoughts, but, this is MTV. No chance they are trying to help her. They are trying to exploit her. Helping people doesn't make for good TV. Exploiting makes for great TV. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up leaving the house early. She did great yesterday but what happens when she is out there sailing away and up comes a cruise ship. I don't think she is going to be able to handle it.
