Caught the Helen Hunt version of the Pamela Smart movie - this is the true story of the teacher who had an affair with a student and convinced him to off her husband - as part of "Back to School Weekend".

This actually made me chuckle. They followed the Smart story with a flick about teen pregnancy.

BTW - I thought Nicole Kidman should have won her oscar for the big screen version of this story, with screenplay by Buck Henry, To Die For. She was perfect as the evil weathergirl.

I think it's an example of when someone turns in so fine a performance that people think she's really that way and not acting. She was less well known then and people may not have realized that even her American accent was performance. I loved Joaquin Phoenix and Iliana Douglas in this, too. And the Donovan song at the end while the sister skates across the pond where they left the pretty pink corpse...excellent.
