LadyT 5567 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 08-13-03, 08:41 PM (EST) "Up coming new TV shows " The upcoming fall season is almost upon us and this summer we have seen all sorts of ads for the new TV shows. What ones interest you and what do you think you will watch? 1) Las Vegas, starring James Caan, Josh yummy Duhamel and Vanessa Marcil. Josh is so sexy and charming and Vanessa has chemistry with wood. Add that to the city of Las Vegas and I know I am watching. 2) Miss Match. Looks cute, I may check it out 3) Tru Calling. I like Eliza Dushka, so I will check her show out. 4) One Tree Hill. I like the concept, looks good. Number one choice will be Las Vegas.   Top

The first two show you mention I can agree with, but no offense, but how can you possibly consider "Cold Cases" to appear original? It's like the 4th Jerry "CSI" Bruckheimer CBS show that's a crime drama. "CSI"... "CSI: Miami"... "Without A Trace"... now "Cold Cases"... The only thing remotely original is that it's OLD CASES instead of cases in Las Vegas, Miami, or missing people in NYC. It's no more original than "Law & Order: SVU"'s focus of sex/violence crimes was versus the original "Law & Order"'s focus on homicides. Back to the original question, I gotta say, this is the first fall season in a long time where I haven't seen much that REALLY grabs me (which is probably a good thing anyways, since 90% of any non-reality show that ever grabs me seems to get cancelled within weeks!) While there's nothing I'm anxiously awaiting, I'll give "Las Vegas" and "Lyon's Den" a shot because they look potentially interesting, and maybe also check out a couple of the new sitcoms like "Match" or "Coupling" (featuring the always underrated Rena Sofer) and maybe "I'm With Her" (it's nice to see Teri Polo appearing regularly in something) and CBS' "Brotherhood" because it's David E. Kelley and I loved Picket Fences, but that's about it. I might check out "Navy: CIS" and "Two and a Half Men" if I happen to be home just because I've always liked Mark Harmon and Charlie Sheen, but they won't be "tape-to-watch-later-worthy" I'll might also check out "Jake 2.0" that features the former "Odyssey 5" (one of the shows that I started to follow that was cancelled) and "Popular" kid that reminds me quite a bit of Roswell's Colin Hanks. I be honest, I'm looking a lot more forward to the premieres of some of the RETURNING scripted shows like Ed, Smallville, Alias, Enterprise, and Showtime's Jeremiah. -SB   Top

Starts slow, gets better, too liberal use of laugh track, I like Jon Cryer better than Charlie Sheen. The director is my BIL's business partner and he brought the pilot by on Fri. night.   Top
