Let's examine the promos. They likely contain misdirection, but they should also contain a hint or glimpse of the boot as well.1. The preview Promo:
Rodney (to Mike at night): Teaming up behind my back, Bro?
JP: Rodney feels betrayed by his blue collar family
Rodney: People who did me wrong are going to pay for that sh!t
JP: But in Survivor, there's always time for revenge
(See the 2 tribes arrive at the beach, where the hell is Jeff? as they realize it's merge time and they cheer...)
Rodney: I felt extremely disrespected by these blues, so these numbers are done-so...
It's all about Rodney, and he is going to exact revenge. If he does, it should be a blue going. Possible targets:
Next Promo:
Shirin: You have merged!
Will <camera confessional>: It's kind of tough to know who you can trust.
Jenn <camera confessional>: Anything can happen. I'm terrified.
Interesting vidcaps: Joe:
Will, Will and Rodney:
Mike, Tyler, Rodney, and Kelly(again):
Tyler and Carolyn:
Hali and Jenn:
This commercial seems to be about who you can trust, and whether you are making the right choices on who to trust....Scrambling.
Finally the next promo:
Shirin: You have merged!
<One Big Tribe>
Tyler <camera confessional>: My future has changed. I've got new found hope.
<One Big Surprise>
Dan: We walk back into camp, wait...ohhhh.
Carolyn: Are you kidding me?
Carolyn <camera confessional>: This is like day one all over again.
<Let>
Mike <talking to Tyler>: Are you thinking you want to work together?
<The>
Hali <talking to Tyler>: No collars want to join white collars.
<Scrambling>
Tyler: Carolyn and I are swing votes.
<Begin>
Will <camera confessional>: It's kind of tough to know who you can trust.
Jenn <camera confessional>: Anything can happen. I'm terrified.
Interesting vidcaps:
Tyler:
So, basically this promo is ALL about Tyler....but, it ends with this shot:
One of Rodney and Will.
So, the first promo is ALL about Rodney who is going to exact his revenge.
Next promo is about the merge and then how to re-align.
Final promo is all about Tyler, but the period at the end is Rodney/Will.
What is misdirection, and what is foreshadowing?
We see Rodney vowing revenge. Then we have the merge and now it's scary because you don't know who to trust. We see shots of Joe re-aligning with his no collars, we know Mike is re-aligning with Kelly.
I do feel that revenge will be had in the next episode. How, and who?
