one castaway’s strategy during the immunity challenge completely backfires,"If we assume the Red Tribe loses, anyone have an idea of the strategy they use that completely backfires?
The operative wording being one castaway's strategy vs. the tribe's strategy.
Whatever the "strategy" was, it was singular and probably NOT shared with the rest of the tribe.
Not that it's going to be repeated, but it reminds me of when Drew decided he wanted to lose the challenge. He didn't tell anyone but he certainly did his best to get his tribe way behind.
So while he ended up getting what he wanted, to go to TC, the irony was that Drew got booted that episode.
So in this case it could be someone stating they want to throw the challenge, does their best to slow the tribe down but it ultimately doesn't work.
IOW, I don't know if we can automatically assume it's a no-collar strategy that fails just because we know Nagarote goes to TC.
It could be Mike simply stating that he isn't gonna help out at the challenge because he wants to go to TC...but Escameca end up winning despite his lack of help.
The strategy backfires, but the challenge doesn't have to be lost because of it.
Of course, it could be Nina stating that she wants to be extra helpful and fails miserably.
