It does seem that the producers could/should tighten up on that kind of thievery a little bit. Certainly they should resist expulsion, but maybe Probst could at least out the thief at TC in front of all survivors and jury members. They could say it's not illegal to go thru someone else's bag without their consent, but it comes with a price. And if you take anything from the bag, even food stashed from a reward, there is an additional price.
And Reed was doing a lot of play acting, such as when he acted offended at TC about the transparency of the attempts by Jeremy and Nat to gain favor when they gave up their rewards. I mean, how can one complain about the transparency of an enemy’s strategic move? Or would it be better in his view if they tried to hide their stratagems from him? One should be grateful for whatever transparency of motives that one can get of opposing players strategic moves.
Reed is right in thinking that (IMO) that he is in a desperate situation. He will be next to go, I think.
