"more 1st IC caps" Crawl phase: Tall Bags phase: (Notice Hunahpu's 3rd bag on the far upper right) (Kelley working on that 3rd bag) Rope Climb phase: (Keith is spinning the ropehook to get it into the Y-shaped "latch" seen below) (Notice no one on Coyopa Mat) (The Coyopa bag on the mat contained the rope hook) Puzzle phase: From the flow of the challenge it appears that Coyopa takes an early lead at the tall bags phase while Hunahpu seems to have some trouble lifting Natalie, then switching to Kelley. You can see that by the time Hunahpu gets to the RopeClimb phase, all of Coyopa is gone from their mat...already up the wall and most likely working on their puzzle. I get the feeling from the last 2 caps provided that 1. Coyopa is just about to finish the puzzle AND that Hunahpu has just lost. A NOT-so-happy looking Jeremy and a veritably mad Keith. Early call for sure, but I believe Coyopa wins the 1st IC sending Hunahpu to TC.   Top

John and Josh, who actually looks older than his age, I thought would align together and its looking like that from the screencaps. Based on Copoya Young alliance-Alec, Baylor, Wes, Jaclyn Older guys-John, Josh, Val, Dale(not exactly part of alliance) It will come down to Nadiya and I'm pretty sure she will take the younger side. Over at Hindhua(?) Younger alliance-Drew, Kelley, Reed, Jon Older guys-Jeremy, Missy, Julie, Keith Natalie is the wild card and I think she also sides with the youth. Looking like a boring season already if thats the case. Since the latter tribe looks to have lost, I think Keith is a goner.   Top

Pairs Picking pouches: The Exile Island Challenge - Jeremy VS Val: (Each of them is attached to a rope. They will have to climb in/out/around the bamboo square to get enough slack in their ropes to reach the "puzzle phase". Whomever finishes their "puzzle" first will win reward. The loser goes to exile island. The winner of the duel then chooses, from their own tribemates, someone to accompany the loser to EI.) Coyopa (-Val) at EIChallenge: (TDT states that it is Keith whom is chosen to accompany Val to EI) JP reveals the IC Idol... oof she's ugly. Can we get that cover back?   Top

BUT, at the time of the picking, they may actually not know that much about each other yet. So maybe it is more of a who is easily outperformed. IMO, it's probably more of a who would I want to be alone on an island with my wife thing.   Top

Here we have some press images of JP (and a cap for continuity)... Day 1: JP at Exile Arena (notice the scrolls on the ledge to HIS left. Probably maps for tribal camps and exile island? Day 3: At the first Immunity Challenge the idol is revealed. Day 8: JP on personal viewing platform at IC. Day 10: JP on "raft" similar to pillow-sumo challenge from BvW1.   Top

"TVGN Preview (Seg 6)" Transcript by SurvivorFever.net: VO: Every season the press steps into the Survivor's shoes to experience an exciting challenge, which the real contestants will face on the show. John Kirhoffer: This time they got to help us develop it, because we did a test rehearse. It was the first time Jeff had seen this challenge, it was the first time the camera guys and our director had seen it. VO: The challenge is called Parallel Universe, and it was a lot harder than it looked. (Dalton Ross from Entertainment Weekly versus Parvati Shallow, former Survivor winner) Probst: Gotta go back to the start. Parvati's gotta go back to the start. Kirhoffer: They have to race through an obstacle course carrying a pole with a wooden disc on it. On that wooden disc is a billiard ball, which rolls around pretty easily. They have to get that billiard ball through all the obstacles and then dump it off on the other end, where they'll then use three billiard balls to roll up a alley and land the three balls into three different divots. VO: So did the press's performance affect the design of the game? Kirhoffer: It wasn't changed dramatically, but there were some significant tweaks. Watching you guys run it helped us figure out how to make it better. VO: We were also on hand to give you a sneak peek of the first Immunity Challenge. Kirhoffer: Our first Immunity Challenge this season is called The Temple of Syrinx, an ode to my favorite rock band, Rush. It's a huge temple. On "go" they race under a crawl-under net. Once they get to the end, players have to get on each other's shoulders to get up and untie those bags. In one of the bags is what we call a "monkey's fist". It's a long rope with a big knot on the end. One of the stronger players would have to use that rope, wind it up, and throw it up into a rope catch. One they get it, they all go up batman style. From the third level they still have another 15 foot ramp to get up, and this time, they have nothing except for themselves. So they have to make human ladders. Then at the top, we have our first puzzle made out of stone. Each piece weighs about 50 pounds.
