I can pretty much guarantee he won't blame himself. Giving the opposition any credit for figuring it out will pay twelve to one at some sportbooks. Believing they're too stupid to know who they should be voting out? Can't even win your stake back.

Dark phrasing on the merge order. I got a momentary "two tribes on one beach" vibe. I see Spencer noticed too.Since when does Tony want to protect others? What is he, some sort of cop? And another thing Sarah lacks: any sense of time... Real merge. And the original landmine is unleashed. Incidentally, Tyler Perry? $=#@ off.

LAST EDITED ON 04-02-14 AT 09:02 PM (EST)Tony's having fun, the time of his life! Tree mail! Pack up all your stuff and head over to Aparri camp! LJ notes that it's 6-5 and they are in trouble, he is glad he had HII. Tony says he may help out a tribemate with his HII if necessary. Spencer won't let anyone forget it's 6 against five. Solana arrives. Sarah is nervous about seeing her old tribe mates. Jefra wanted to bogart Alexis back, but, oh well she can't now. It's a merge! The Tyler Perry idol is announced. More or less. It's an idol with "special powers!" Tony plans to look for it. Spencer feels he has new life, and he and Sarah and Jeremiah et al can run the game. Tony is worried that Sarah won't flip, and he/Solana will be finished.

Tony is promising Sarah F2, swear on your badge, she has to go for Spencer or Kass. Break the Brains up. Sarah is "sitting pretty". Sarah tells Aparri that LJ should go home. Jeremiah says LJ probably has HII. Either Woo or LJ should go. Sarah does not want to vote Trish out, which Kass suggested. Kass doesn't trust Sarah. Sarah has too much power, according to Kass. A plethora of parties have been mentioned as targets thus far.

LAST EDITED ON 04-03-14 AT 04:02 PM (EST)Someone tweeted that it was a final two. Don't have official confirmation of this, so I haven't been holding my breath on this yet. My post was more along the lines of most Survivor contestants playing to see who takes whom to the final three, regardless of whether the actual final jury vote is for two or for three. If it's a F2, Kass may be taken along to the end unless the other two just can't stomach her (which would be possible if, let's say, Spencer and Tasha were there, but not as likely if LJ and Woo were there, just to throw names out there), but if it's a F3 then almost certainly Kass would be dragged along to finish in third place with zero votes while the other two fight it out for the title. ETA: This is, of course, assuming that Survivor contestants are smart, but we've obviously seen over the years they don't always play the common sense way to further their own chances in the best way. Cochran and LilHantz were perfect goats in their original seasons but weren't going to be dragged to the end.

LAST EDITED ON 04-03-14 AT 10:51 AM (EST)Libra ... is symbolized by the Scales of Balance, and just as a set of scales will teeter back and forth before achieving a new balance, Libra will vacillate to and fro between extremes: mental, emotional or physical. When the Libra does make a decision, however, you can probably bank on its integrity. And even though Libra take a lot of heat for being indecisive, they make up for it with an idealism that has the power to change their world. Perhaps this is why there are more judges born under Libra than under any other Sun Sign and why the Scales have come to represent our system of justice. However, once they have reached a conclusion Libra will not tolerate a divergent opinion: among their faults is an impatience of criticism and a greed for approval ... G And Thank You!

So are we talking now about Sarah, a biased portrayal of Sarah, an actress named Robin Tunney or a fictional character? Because I don't think that indecision (or overplaying your hand) is gender sensitive. Or that they are necessarily represented to be in Survivor. Remember when Marcus wouldn't give Susie a straight answer in Gabon? Terry in Exile Island? Jaison in Samoa? Aras in Blood v Water? Russell Hantz in Everywhere? Libra. Male. G

LAST EDITED ON 04-03-14 AT 00:37 AM (EST)I don't know anything about astrology and I don't remember the particulars of (or may not have seen all of) the Survivor examples you cited. Sarah seemed, from the get-go, utterly gullible about what other people (particularly Tony) were telling her. She did not verify Tony's statements about Cliff, and tried to throw a challenge based only on what Tony told her. She was lucky she didn't succeed. Then Sarah totally mishandled her position of power as a swing vote, telling Kass she WOULD NEVER vote for Trish. Being the swing vote requires finesse. You must convince each side you are with them, and that they don't have to worry about you. You cannot dictate unequivocally how things will go down, nor announce "I will decide what I will do only when we arrive at Tribal Council." "The Mentalist" is a "police slow" wherein the department utilizes the skills of a supposed "mentalist" -- but he isn't really, and yet he does end up usually cracking the cases at the end. The chief police officer (I forget what her actual title is, she is played by the actress Robin Tunney) almost uniformly comes off looking bad because Thomas Jane ( the Mentalist) solves everything on his own, though he is ostensibly assisting her investigation. As a cop, Sarah seemed exactly like the character portrayed by Robin Tunney: never quite having a handle on anything, while Thomas Jane (Tony?) outsmarts her at very turn.

Jane "the Mentalist" is a con artist who had a very lucrative career running the psychic game. He gave that up and became a police consultant in order to track down and kill the serial killer who killed his wife and daughter. Lisbon (Tunney) is a competent detective and the authority figure (boss of the original CBI homicide squad construct of the show) who had this headache handed to her. She learned early on that Jane could not be kept strictly under control, but he could be handled (and that is what she does) even though he has a natural antipathy for authority figures; and, basically, give him room to manuever, he usually gets results.

LAST EDITED ON 04-04-14 AT 02:21 PM (EST)I don't know anything about astrology and I don't remember the particulars of (or may not have seen all of) the Survivor examples you cited. Well, I know just enough about it to get myself in trouble. And , I apologize. I enjoy watching the show with Astrology's behavioral portraits in mind and sometimes forget - especially when an Episode has been so chock full of 'stereotypical' behaviors as was last night's - that very few others commenting on those same behaviors share my vantage point - or have an interest in it. As for Sarah's (behavior): I thought last night was a tale of several clowns. And that if loyalty/trust is the Season's focal point we've yet to arrive at its moral. I also think that if my financial health was dependent upon my public image, I would never surrender that image to the mercies of Survivor's editors. Because I think that in her professional capacity as an interviewer/interrogator, Sarah is probably, as she bills herself to be in her CBS biography, a very effective police officer. But I won't offer any more of her Libra credentials in support of that opinion ... G

Actually, one of the two 'types' with poorer track records was cast. But Garrett left early. ETA: You really got to give Trish a lot of credit here. For all of the dudebro chest-pumping that Tony and LJ were doing (all of which didn't matter, twice over), it was Trish who saved the day for her alliance. I'm looking forward to this week's discusssion regarding Trish, (Tony) and LJ in the editing thread.
