3. "RE: Post Show Promo" |
LAST EDITED ON 03-13-14 AT 10:53 PM (EST)THANKS so much for posting these screen caps tribephyl! I was looking at the Tribe Shuffle / Reward Challenge overview photo
There are 2 TALL poles at the far end. They look kind of like the poles for "Get A Grip" where you climb up the pole and hold on (seen last season Laura M vs Laura B, vs John Cody) but there would need to be a pole for each tribe member for "Get A Grip". So I'm pretty sure this is the "Kicking and Screaming" Reward Challenge where you hold onto the pole and the other tribe members attempt to remove you and drag you across the finish line which we saw in
- Cook Islands (where they had 3 poles for each tribe) and
- Gabon (where they had 1 pole for each tribe) so more like Gabon.

7. "RE: S28 | Ep04 | Promo Video Captures" |
OK, first thoughts. I think the Brain tribe is safe. If any are at risk, it's Kass, but at this point, I think they are safe. However, if Kass is the only one from the Brain tribe on a new tribe, she is the odd man out, and she could be our boot. Pictures that stand out to me...First and foremost, these of Sarah...
Next, Jefra....
Morgan - seen in the preview promo AND the web promo.
And, finally Lindsay, also seen in the preview promo and the web promo: And the one Press Image that stands out to me is this one of Jeremiah:
Now consider these stand outs with the Misdirection clues where it notes: "Odd One Out" One of the Brains, ? Kass or Tasha will end up as the only former Brain on a new tribe, obviously being the Odd one out. But, I get the feeling that the Brain tribe will all be safe. Perhaps the odd man out tribe doesn't go to TC? Castaways drop their buffs and form two new tribes. This is clear. Meanwhile, a decision made on Day 1 could lead to a castaway’s elimination Of the people who stand out in the promo as noted above, Morgan, Sarah, and maybe Lindsay could be considered. (Lindsay was at odds on day one with Trish).
the battle for immunity proves which new tribe has the most Brawn, on SURVIVOR. The brawn tribe is split 50/50?

8. "Time Stamps" |
As per Kona at Sucks, THANKS SO MUCH, the time stamps are as noted. All of the press images are taken on the same day. All of the shots taken at the challenge where the tribes arrive and then stand on their perspective mats were taken in the morning between 10:20 - 10:26.The other shots of LJ, Tasha, and Jeremiah were taken later the same day, post swap and post challenge. The shot of Jeremiah,
...taken at 12:32. Then Tasha,
...taken at 1:36 pm. Then the shot of LJ... Taken at 4:14 pm. It looks like LJ is at the old Beauty's camp, and not at the same camp as Tasha and Jeremiah.

10. "RE: New Tribes Promo" |
LAST EDITED ON 03-15-14 AT 06:52 PM (EST)They wanted to destroy Solana. This "random" shuffle protects Brawn and Brain as much as possible. Looks also that they made sure Cliff would not be targeted by Sarah. Sarah may be out but she is needed by both sides. What a bunch of crap. Also, they had a bit of fun, turning the old Brawn tribe Aparri into the weaker one. That's the meaning of that clue.

11. "RE: New Tribes Promo" |
WOW! They blatantly SHOW both new tribes! When Jeff said: "Ah, tribe switches are always so fun. We love doing them randomly so we never know what we’ll get." Many of us thought they might control the split forcing Male/Female split (3 Males on each tribe and 4 Females on each tribe) or control the 3 Tribe Split (3-Brawn/2-Beauty/2-Brain vs 3-Brawn/3-Beauty/1-Brain) Instead it looks like it was indeed a TOTALLY RANDOM swap! 5 Brawn (Woo, Cliff, Trish, Lindsey, Tony) and 2 Beauty (Jefra, LJ) (4-men/3-women) vs 1 Brawn (Sarah), 3 Beauty (Morgan, Alexis, Jeremiah) and 3 Brains (Kass, Spencer, Tasha) (2-men/5-women) "For one person the switch is just about the worst thing that could happen. That’s when Survivor “luck” really sucks." Well that is obviously referring to Sarah!!

To me this regrouping doesn't seem implausible through a random switch. Remember the All-Stars random switch where everyone ended up with the same former tribemates except Amber and (I think Jenna?)?

17. "RE: S28E04 Odd One Out (Preview)" |
Nu-Solana: Cliff, Jefra, Lindsey, LJ, Tony, Trish, Woo Woo senses paranoia. LJ and Trish seem to have developed a relationship that has them appear as threats to each other? They certainly seem friendly though. LJ and Jefra can't seem to integrate into the 5 brawns. Or moreso, LJ can't find the crack in the brawn alliance yet. But he sure is trying with Trish. Lindsey and Cliff think that "She" will flip on them. (Jefra for a positive flip, Trish for a negative flip. I'm leaning towards negative.) (Also note it is Cliff and Lindsey the 2 outsiders on Old-Aparri) Woo notes that "He is dangerous" in regards to LJ.On the outside?: On Nu-Solana we have 2 lonely Beauties and 5 slightly scattered Brawns. Easy for the Brawns to do either 1 of 3 things... It's clear that LJ is on everyone's radar. He IS dangerous, as Woo notes. (or at least he could have been dangerous. His edit doesn't speak of winner. Even though I would wish it to be true.) but he is definitely a threat OR they could self destruct and target Trish for possibly flipping. (hehe THAT won't happen.) OR the three original brawn alliance members (Woo, Trish and Tony) could utilize LJ and Jefra to dump Cliff and then Lindsey. In Danger?: LJ, he's dangerous. Cliff to keep old targets without losing numbers. Nu-Aparri: Sarah, Alexis, Jeremiah, Kass, Morgan, Spencer, Tasha Alexis is attempting to jump ship and make an F4 with the brains. Jeremiah, in a conversation with Kass and Tasha, notes that "She" will backstab me. (Could be about the obvious enemy, Morgan, or the new 'enemy' Alexis.) And of course, Sarah...our 'Odd One Out' Seems to believe she can't trust any of her new tribemates. On the outside?: On Nu-Aparri it won't be Beauty versus Brains with Sarah as the swing. It will be both of "Let's get rid of a brawn, to even things out a bit..." AND a lot of Beauties throwing other Beauties under the bus. In Danger?: Morgan has 2 enemy beauties and a bunch of brains looking for a target. Jeremiah and Alexis seem to be flipping before our eyes (and it doesn't always work out for the flippers) and... Sarah, well she really could be the easy vote this week. But I have a feeling she will just try to integrate with the majority...the Brains.

22. "RE: S28E04 Odd One Out (Preview)" |
It would be smart for the Brains tribe to eliminate both Morgan and Sarah before the merge. Aligning with Jeremiah and Alexis would help them tremendously at the merge to get the numbers over Brawn by putting LJ and Jefra on their side. However, the Brains tribe hasn't done anything smart up to now so they could go with Morgan for the short term.

But it seems as if Alexis doesn't want to stay aligned with Jeremiah. She wants to be in a foursome with the Brains. She and Jeremiah may both be afraid that LJ and Jefra will get booted first from the other tribe (a reasonable assumption) and so they are separately planning ahead for that contingency.

28. "RE: S28E04 Odd One Out (Preview)" |
LAST EDITED ON 03-18-14 AT 11:18 AM (EST)You guys are making some good points here. I don't know if they should be planning on doing things within their own tribe depending on what "could" happen in the other tribe, and especially when the other tribe is stacked with strength. Let's face it, while their tribe has all the brains, the brains so far have indeed performed as "crap for brains". In the latest promo we see that first Alexis, then Jeremiah are courting the Brains to side with them. Clearly, something has happened to warrant these actions. With 3 solid Beauty's on the tribe, why would they be so quick to jump ship? It must be because they know that Morgan is NOT with them, which indeed puts them in a minority. So, what we aren't seeing is Morgan aligning and spilling on the Beauty's that are scrambling. We also really don't see or hear anything from Sarah either except she doesn't know who to trust. With the Beauty's scrambling, clearly the Brains must be sitting in the power seat, and either Sarah and Morgan or both have thrown in with them. I think our boot will be one of the scramblers now, either Jeremiah or Alexis. Jeremiah has a feature shot in the press images, which is in his favor to be our boot. However, would they boot one of 2 males on their tribe at this point? However, Alexis is featured sandwiched in, in the last promo. While we hear Spencer comment something regarding how nice it is to upgrade from the moms to the hot girls....this is classic misdirection, making us think the "hot girls" are safe. I am leaning toward Alexis at this point.

24. "RE: S28 | Ep04 | VidCap Analysis *No Sources*" |
LAST EDITED ON 03-19-14 AT 01:51 PM (EST)As most of you know, I watch each Season from the vantage point of a cast and a contest divided between two Astrology-identified, internally-complementary, naturally-opposed personality groups: *The Earth and Water Signs vs The Fire and Air Signs. And, going into this ‘random’ shuffle, the Season's three synthetic Tribes looked like this: At Luzon … Spencer – (Cardinal/Superior) Cancer (Water) Tasha – (Mutable/Subordinate) Pisces (Water) Kass – (Mutable/Soloist) Sagittarius (Fire) At Solana … LJ – (Cardinal/Superior) Capricorn (Earth) Jefra – (Cardinal/Superior) Cancer (Water) Morgan – (Cardinal/Superior) Cancer (Water) *Alexis – (Mutable/Subordinate) Pisces (Water) Jeremiah – (Mutable/Subordinate) Gemini (Air) At Aparri … Trish – (Cardinal/Superior) Cancer (Water) Woo – (Mutable/Subordinate) Pisces (Water) Lindsey – (Cardinal/Soloist) Aries (Fire) Cliff – (Mutable/Soloist) Sagittarius (Fire) Tony – (Mutable/Soloist) Sagittarius (Fire) Sarah – (Cardinal/Soloist) Libra (Air) Combined ... One Earth Native (Capricorn) *Seven Water Natives (4 Cancer and 3 Pisces) Four Fire Natives (1 Aries and 3 Sagittarius) and Two Air Natives (1 Libra and 1 Gemini) The ‘random’ shuffle divided the lot like this: At Solana … One Earth (LJ – Capricorn) Three Water (Trish and Jefra – Cancer)(Woo – Pisces) Three Fire (Cliff and Tony – Sagittarius)(Lindsey – Aries) At Aparri … One Fire (Kass – Sagittarius) *Four Water (Spencer and Morgan – Cancer)(Tasha and *Alexis – Pisces) Two Air (Jeremiah – Gemini) (Sarah – Libra) And, as most of you also know, I would argue that Survivor’s producers (ostensibly, of unscripted drama) don’t shuffle/manipulate Tribal memberships based upon their perception of the contestants’ relative allegiances to those short-lived, fictional entities per se but rather based upon their testing-and-interview-driven assessments of the contestants’ core personality traits. So, while I don’t profess to have any idea how they managed the outcome, I find it hard to believe that this shuffle/manipulation was ‘random’. I’ll also just note that this is an Earth and Water Majority Season. And (with Tyson’s win) in 18 of the 21 Seasons played with Majority/Minority splits between the complementary Elements (Earth and Water – Fire and Air), a Majority native has won the Game. The Majority natives left in this Season are: LJ, Trish, Jefra, Spencer, Morgan (Cancer), Woo, Tasha and *Alexis (Pisces). So, I’m not going to feel sorry for the marooned Capricorn (LJ) just yet. Surrounded by emotional and impulsive Water and Fire natives might just be the very best place for a disciplined, self-reliant, innately ambitious and goal-driven natural leader to be. Something about 'being able to keep your head when all about you are losing theirs’ … ETA: The natives of the two Fire Signs - Aries and Sagittarius (in this instance, Lindsey, Tony and Cliff) - instinctively resent/resist overt, hierarchical leadership/authority (precisely the brand of leadership/authority that Capricorn most often employ). So, it will be interesting to see if LJ can summon enough tact (or humility) to be a success (or to survive) at the -new- Solana. ETC: All of my comments affected by the change of Alexis' birthdate (from June 6 to March 17/from Gemini to Pisces) at Survivor Wiki on March 17th. G * The accuracy of the Survivors' Sun Signs indicated here are dependent upon the accuracy of their birthdates as published at Survivor Wiki and upon my own accuracy in transferring/translating them. And, during Blood v Water , Ciera’s, Vytas’ and Marissa’s birthdays (entered at the site in August) were changed/corrected in October and November. Too, I misread Hayden’s. So, something about ‘a grain of salt’ …

33. "PS:" |
LAST EDITED ON 03-19-14 AT 03:04 PM (EST)In (all of) the 21 Seasons that have been played with a Majority/Minority split in the cast (Earth and Water | Fire and Air) no Majority group has arrived at F10 with a deficit of members. And in only five Seasons of the twenty-one has the Majority group arrived at F10 in a 5-5 tie with the Minority. The original split of the Cagayan cast was 12 (Earth and Water) | 6 (Fire and Air). It is now 8 (Majority) | 6 (Minority). So, considering the next four boots, the history of the Game strongly suggests () that, at most, no more than three, of these eight players - LJ (Capricorn), Trish, Jefra, Spencer, Morgan (Cancer), Woo, Tasha and *Alexis (Pisces) - and that at most, up to four of these six players - Lindsey (Aries), Kass, Cliff, Tony (Sagittarius), Sarah (Libra) and Jeremiah(Gemini) - will leave Cagayan. ETA: Too, in those 21 Seasons, the (most severe) split at F10 has been 8 (Majority) | 2 (Minority) only three times. In Fiji, Micronesia and South Pacific. G * Two days ago Alexis' birthdate was corrected at Survivor Wiki with the note that the new information was entered based upon one of her recent Facebook entries. I've corrected the pertinent information in the post above to reflect the change.
