Cochran anxiety won't allow him to gt complacent. We keep seeing this in quotes like the one about his expiration date. He is almost looking at this like a chess match--examining all options while recognizing his own vulnerability. He has concerns that he could be the next boot, but he isn't letting emotion and paranoia control his game.

Emotion separates Dawn's game from Cochran's. He is able to control his; she let's hers take over. It isn't another player controlling Dawn's game this time; it's her emotions. She and Cochran are the pair of dolphins we continually see juxtaposed to the school of fish. they are playing a twin game, but the difference is Cochran's emotional control and lucid thinking--that will separate him from Dawn when the votes are counted.

Sometimes I just want to grab Eddie and shake him. He seems to be a nice enough guy, but if he were wore strategic, he could have been a winner. Just as he focused more on "having fun" in his potential showmance error early in the game, he is still more focused on enjoying the experience than playing the game. He looks at winning immunity as the only thing HE can do to keep himself in the game, but he is losing out on opportunities. I was struck by The similarity between his position after Reynold left and Chris Daugherty in Vanuatu. Eddie should have been working the cracks in the majority alliance instead of focusing on ICs and packing his bags for every TC. If Malcolm had played a more subtle game acting as "puppet master" for the more compliant Amigos and not been booted first as the most strategic Amigo, he might have won this game. The lower-key, Malcolm from Phillipines would have run with Eddie's opportunity.
