"Could Sean actually win?"
A friend of mine knows a girl who works at CBS who supposedly was involved in scheduling all the castaways interviews. I was told this information very early on (only one episode of the show had aired at the time). She told my friend that the doctor wins it. For what it's worth, I just wanted to pass it along...

1. "RE: Could Sean actually win?"
Wouldn't that be fulfilling the idea that it's the last person you'd think to win out of who's left? This might have some merit. Rich & Sean could have cooked up a plan while on the yacht. Take out Kelly, Sue & then Rudy... cause Rich thinks Sean might be an easier one to beat in the final vote. Only the final voting castaways deteste the idea of an arrogant Rich winning it & give it to Sean. No wonder Jenna wasn't too thrilled about the winner. An interesting scenario!

2. "RE: Could Sean actually win?"
I think there may be something to this. It's clear that Sean and Rich now have an understanding of some sort. Sean must know that Rich is his only chance to get further. The men have a 3-2 advantage, and can now pick off the women. I wouldn't doubt that Rich would want to get rid of Rudy and go against Sean. Though, there's the chance Sean wins the last immunity and realizes that he can't beat Rich, but not Rudy.

3. "He could"
Sure could definetly win if he made it into the final two. Out of all the tagi, he seemed to befriend the pagong members the best. If they don't feel bitter about him possibly being in the alliance the entire time. He could also gain votes from the alliance members kicked off if they feel the other person in the final two betrayed them. I think the other people on the island realizes Sean's charisma. He has a chance if he wins immunity. If he doesn't, I think he'll be out of there.

4. "Who would the Jury vote for??"
Do they vote for Sean? Devil's Advocate-- He comes from an affluient family, He is a Doctor, has money, appears dumb, voted out cooleen, Gervace (Target), Greg, and Jenna (this vote won't matter). He doesn't seem to be the best Pagoinggoinggone friend since he voted them all off. Most edited on screen views and later interviews think Sean is DUMB. Do you give the million to the Dumb one?

Do you vote for Rudy? Devil's Advocate--Rudy is older than all of them, will he be able to enjoy the money? He is crude, anti-gay, anti-young, anti-everything. (editorial note...He is awesome I hope he wins) He was never a real threat to win immunity, he was in the alliance, Editing of the show makes him a likely winner.

Do you Vote for Susan? Devil's Advocate--Susan is a Hard core Taga alliance member, she has lied to people to their face. She comes accross as the *burp* redneck. Do you give her the million so she can get a few more Velvet Elvis pictures for the 4-wide? susan has no hope of winning a vote against anyone left on the island except maybe Richard.

Do you Vote for Kelly? Devil's Advocate--Kelly seems to switch thoughts when the wind blows. "I am here to win. I hate being in an alliance. I am playing these Tagi people" I want to be cool like Cooleen and play dress up. By now everyone can see a two-face when it appears. She could get a Pagone and women vote that may get her the million and shock the nation that a credit card stealing, nose bitting, peirced tongue having, Hippy Trippy white water rafting, back stabbing women(?) won.

Do you Vote for Richard? Devil's Advocate--They don't call him ##### for nothing. Leader of the TA, butt crack showing, tutti-fruity dancing, fish getting, Darth Vader impersonater. Most Pagoinggoinggone see ##### nude, See ##### Fish. See ##### gloat. See ##### Voted off!!!

So who do they vote for???

Devil,

It really does appear that all bets are off this point, for sure!

I do think maybe that people have the wrong impression of Sean's background, though. He comes from a middle class family (his father is/was a fireman). Sean went to a state school (I actually went to the same school but didn't know him). If you read his bio on the CBS website, it talks about how he never took vacations so he could work and save money. My guess is that he has a ton of medical school loans right now, and that the million bucks would certainly help him. Especially after all the talk about how dumb he is, his practice may be in trouble after the show ends!

Although, he did vote all of them off, Sean didn't blatantly vote anyone off. This may help him in the long run. He also was the ambassador at the beginning and the pagong members seemed to like him them.

What a great tip Pumpkin...I never even thought of Sean..but it truly is the Great Spoiler with everyone thinking it will be Rudy or even Rich at this point. I can't believe we actually know the winner!! Wait until Mark Burnett finds out about this!! Wonder how he'll try to quiet this speculation??

LAST EDITED ON 08-11-00 AT 09:28 PM (EST)

Hey Guys, I happen to know that the girl at CBS who spilled the beans is MB's cousin!!!

Not really, but it wouldn't surprise me. I had a great Brilliant Sean vs. Stupid Sean argument at one time, but I don't remember most of it now.

Still, everything he has done, appearing dumb, not joining an alliance, alphabet voting, steering the Tagi toward Jenna, has made him non-threatening and kept him around, when some "smarter" ones are history.

And he did it without making anyone hate him. They don't respect him, but they don't hate him. That will come in very handy if he's in the Final Two.

12. "RE: Could Sean actually win?"
LAST EDITED ON 08-11-00 AT 11:30 PM (EST)

I posted this before, but I'll post it again. I think we have plenty of solid evidence that Sean is in an alliance, at least with Richard. First, his votes, post ABC coincide with the alliance. Second, he's still around. Third, the following conversations in this last episode:

Richard to Sean: "Try to follow all this... I'm going to give you all of what's happended up to here."

Later, Richard to Sean: "They'll be gunning for us if they're not already."
Sean: "We'll beat them (sound suddenly cuts out... 'We'll beat them to it'??).

Finally, Sean to camera: "It's a lot of money... I better start treating it that way."

If he was fooling around with the ABC's (which I doubt), he's quite serious now. But unlike the others, he's still being nice to people! Even making Colleen laugh when voting her off ("Cool-een"). Sean just might win it! But only if he wins immunity during the final three so Rich and Rudy can't vote him off.

If Stacey's comment is right, that we haven't yet seen the biggest manipulator on the island yet, it very well might be Sean.

P.S. I did my internship at the same hospital as Sean was doing his residency. Never talked to him much. He always seemed to be a decent guy, though a bit of a smart-ass. But remember, neurologists are trained to carefully observe people's behavior and mental status. He's not as clueless as people seem to think...

Just trying to keep this at the top of the board as I still think this deserves furthur consideration. The only two who seem to be 'quietly working behind the scenes' are Sean & Rudy. They each keep low profiles about things for the most part & it looks like Rich is manipulating them both to keep himself in the final 2... but Stacey's "biggest manipulator yet to be seen" description could apply to either one of these guys. Rudy may be the most popular & easiest to determine as the final winner so far, but Sean could prove himself yet to be the 'dark horse'...

15. "RE: Could Sean actually win?"
I think it is looking more and more like Sean will be the true Survivor. Jurymember and I both posted on this earlier and I do think that there could be some miniscule pieces of evidence if we look into it further.

I know that none of us like Sean the most, but as someone put it earlier, he will certainly be the least of the evils, especially if he can redeem himself by not being as dumb as he appears.

We know he was either part of TA from the beginning (but not likely) or joined after they began to use him as their leverage. He either vocally joined or quietly sat back, hoping to not get voted off, because he knew that the TA needed him to ensure votes (just in case one TA's beloved members, Kelly, decided to stray).

In any case, Sean would be the most surprising win, because he is not part of TA according to what MB has edited, and MB has shown him in a poor light. We know that we should either ignore MB or do the exact oppposite of what he editing leads us to believe.

Also, I think it is important to reiterate the relevance of the emotions or attitudes of the cannibalized survivors towards Sean. They have all suspisciously made the same remarks about him. He's dumb, he's a moron, he's a putz, blah, blah, blah. Yes, we all have this opinion, but could it not be some of MB's doing? Maybe this is the strategy of the voted off survivors and MB to steer us away from following what makes the most sense. They want us to believe that Sean is not smart enough to outwit or outlast the others.

Jurymember and Pumkin, you guys are great at getting the hard facts. Good job, go for it. I think we will all be surprised!

There are five survivors left, which theoretically gives Sean a one in five shot at winning. but there is other factors to observe. If Sean wins imunity in the final three, then I could see him asking the other two who wants to get voted off... Sean just doesn't have what it takes to win this one. Alphabet boy wouldn't stand a chance, and Jenna would vote for the devil before she voted for Sean to win.

DaddyO I totally agree with you that it would be just like MB to coach the voted off members to repeat the Sean mantra: he's dumb, what a putz, etc. That really makes the viewer immediately ignore him as a choice for the winner. I now will be shocked if Sean doesn't win. (He must be quietly laughing as all of America calls him Dr. Dumb...proving that he's not so dumb at all...the joke's on us.)

I think he is going to win! I ave believed that since the merger (that's when I started to watch the show). He is a smart kid. I think he is smarter than most people think. When I saw his ABC strategy I said: "Woah! clever strategy! he doesn't get in any trouble, he does no harm, and probably will en winning." I ahve my hopes in him. He's my favorite from the 16 castaways, along with Jenna and "Cooleen" (hehehe) I think he has a great possibility to win.

Also I saw somewhere that on eBay, someone auctioned an autographed picture of Sean, and it said "(Sean's sign) The Last Survivor" I don't know if this is true.

Could Sean win?? He can and will..

Well, the word is out...the buzz at message boards, even chat rooms at various Survivor sites is that Sean who started off as the ultimate loser will be the ultimate 1 mil winner. This is due mainly to a leak by a CBS exec. provided by Pumpkin(see earlier message)..I'd like to thank you personally PUMPKIN!!!... Everybody keep an eye out...apparently MB and his people have found out about the leak and it is my understanding that cbs producers are currently in the editing room splicing up footage of the final two episodes to keep Pumpkin and the rest of America off their tails...but we know better MB!! As for the dissapointment of knowing the final Survivor..well look on the bright side- for those of you in Survivor pools.. at least you'll win(or tie)

I don't think that you can call any of this information completely accurate. We are all hoping the come up with the right theory. No one is certain that Sean wins, we are just trying to come up with some substantiated evidence (or BS ) that backs our common thread.

Most of us have already heard the Rudy wins thread on this board and SS, so now lets see where we can get by creating new scenarios. May the best thread win!

Of course I do think that the Sean wins scenario, would fit most with MB's way of thinking. Right now, Rudy just seems way to obvious. Again, I am sure that most of America is rooting for Rudy, due to the sneaky editing. We haven't seen much of the old gay bashing Rudy we used to know. We also aren't given enough good stuff about the other characters. I'm just trying to turn around the evidence that MB has given us, and go another way. It may work.

Any ideas on our next bootee?

I think if Sean ends up winning, it will be the opposite of a coincidence - it will prove that the leak was credible. One of the reasons I believe it could be true is because I was told this soooo early on in the game. Only 1 episode had aired, there were 15 people still on the island, and no one was really speculating on who the winner was, just who'd be voted off next.
Who knows if it's true or not? I just wanted to post it because I thought everyone should consider it. It seems like a lot of people are reading into each piece of information that comes up and conforming it to what they already believe (i.e. Rudy wins). I do think that Rudy will end up being the final 2, but that in the end, he will just not be capable of winning the popularity vote.
