The posts initiating these threads contain no spoiler information other than perhaps referencing what has been revealed in TV promos for the upcoming episode. Non-spoilers, be advised that spoilers may include information in their posts here which you may not wish to read. Spoilers, please do not include spoiler information for future episodes, stick to the episode in question. Hello, friends, welcome to season 22, Survivor Jumptheshark Island. I'll get around to the rules of voting in a bit, but first let me observe that this season is looking to be a total fiasco, even the vaunted TDT has determined it is not worth anything but snark. He may be correct though I'm kind of hoping a few genuinely likeable players may have managed sneak in past the No Worthwhile People Allowed sign. We'll see. The big trouble for me is that I haven't figured out yet how to deal with this redemption nonsense that says that boots aren't boots, it's a new math that says there have to be two boots before there can be one boot, even Einstein would have trouble grasping this physics. Still, we have a couple of episodes to figure it out and have two nonboot boots to compete for first boot. So, just to get started, for a couple of episodes we'll treat boots like boots, okay? If you have any ideas about how to deal with voting on this redemption malarky (and honestly doesn't it just make a mockery of the very concept of redemption?) please please please feel free to share them here. The Rules 1. Put the name of your choice for this week's boot in the subject heading. This is easy, just erase where it says "Re: SurvivorBlowsTribe, Time to Vote..." and replace with your vote, e.g., "Russ." Or, if you think this will be a two-boot week: "Russ and Rob." It doesn't matter which order you put them in unless it matters to you. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Nicknames are tougher to tally unless they are really obvious without actually reading your post. Other things you want to vote on (who wins what challenge, who gets first confessional, why two all-stars have turned up in a game where the jury will be composed mostly of resentful one-time only players), these should go in your post not in your subject line. 1b. Redemption Island. Under construction, watch this space. 2. Reply only to this post. We like a nice straight vote thread around here, it's easier that way. Discussions of redemption votng are allowed, though, please help. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES! 2b. But to change your vote reply to your own post. Your new post heading should read, for example, "VOTE CHANGE: Fabio's Big Brother." Or perhaps "VOTE CHANGE: Fabio's Big Brother and The Weird One" if you think it will be a two-boot week. 3. This is not a discussion thread, do not treat it as such. There are plenty of places on the forum to debate the merits of people's arguments, have discussions, have civil and polite disagreements, don't do it here. But please feel free to discuss your vote in your own post, cast all the extra votes you want, we're all interested in what you have to say. 4. No graphics, particularly no sig pics. "Stephanie" This was a very challenging week to predict the boot, and may the rest of the season be the same. While there are spoilers popping up with speculated early boots, there was NO confirmation from anyone as to who the first boot will be. YES! So, here's the argument for a Zapatera win: 1. Time stamps on the press photos, with just 2 pics on the afternoon of Day 3, while the other pics were from Day 2... 2. The title of the show, "You're looking at the new leader of your tribe". I speculate that this may come from Phillip in confessional, and we all know that Robfadda wants to be the leader....conflict 3. Phillip retrieving the tribal flag looking stoic... 4. Stoic looks seen at camp Ometepe 5. Jeff Probst pre-game assessment, Jeff says that he’s going to be in or out. “He has a line he’s planning to lay on his tribe....he used to have access to all these secrets”....Jeff thinks, “good luck to you”, will people buy it? 6. Jeff Probst youtube video talks only about Phillip 7. Spoilers predict he'll go early pre-merge Argument for a Ometepe win: 1. Boston Rob leading the final puzzle leg of the challenge 2. Stoic faces at camp Zapatera 3. Jeff Probst pre-game assessment, “If I am right, she’ll be one of the first voted out, if not the first.” 4. Spoilers predict she'll be pre-merge, Stephanie = Marrisa Calahan 5. Vidcaps that appeared with celebratory actions from Camp Zapatera, presumably for next week...more likely that Phillip goes next week...? 6. Vidcap evidence of further puzzle progression for Camp Ometepe 7. Boston Rob leading the final puzzle of the challenge... Going with the tried and true puzzle completer, Boston Rob and company. Stephanie is the smallest/weakest female at Camp Zapatera, and could indeed be the most annoying as well. PS. If it's not Stephanie, than it's Phillip...   Top

"Phillip" While I absolutely buy FloPo's argument for Rob prevailing in the puzzle, I just have this thing where I have wanted to vote for Rob's tribe to go to TC. (I don't have ANY source info as to which way it goes.) The Philip walk with the flag, and the third day press photo, I found compelling. Jeff's hype confuses me. On one hand, if Phillip is a larger than life character, he should have more development, an arc. On the other, any character on the winning tribe is not getting much after the challenge. A really big character needs a TC to pop out for Jeff. All I can think is that he goes up against Rob for the leader position, Rob trounces him, and he comes back in Ep 3 for the duel, which he wins. That may keep him around for a while. If they do a segment each week on RI like they did on Exile, we would also see him in Week 2 ... settling in. So this is where I was at when I read from blind freddy that Jeff says it will be a great first TC. I'm just not sure how a Stephanie boot will make for anything special. She's kind of the obvious choice. OTOH, there is the very strong evidence that Zaps do well in the pool challenge, probably Ep 2, yet we strongly feel that Stephanie has to go second if not first. So ... I'm very likely completely wrong, but this is how I want to vote, and someone should vote contrarian ...   Top

"Phillip" FloPo makes a very compelling argument for Stephanie, but I’ve been leaning the other direction and was glad to see OFGirl tip the scale toward Phillip. The vidcap information appears to be inconclusive about which tribe wins the IC and David “highest IQ ever” should be able to hold his own against Rob in a puzzle challenge. The episode title for EP1 is: ”You’re looking at the new leader of your tribe.” Since Rob and Russell are introduced as the tribe leaders to begin with, someone else must step up and try to become “the new leader”. Phillip fits that description and makes a bold move according to JP, but gets shot down by Rob. TDT had a gut feeling that the picture of Phillip carrying the tribe flag back to camp after the challenge showed defeat and disappointment. TDT’s gut has been reliable in the past, and I would agree with his assessment. Kona’s time stamp photos from the afternoon of Day3 feature Rob, Phillip and a vulture, setting up an epic TC battle. The pattern has been that press photos taken after the first IC are usually at the losing tribes camp. The Stephanie = Marisa comparison was posed as a question to Blackwhale and never confirmed. I would interpret BW comments to suggest Phillip gets voted out before Stephanie. We now know that Russell was Missyae’s source and that he was forced to provide false information to confirm Missyae as the leak. We know that false info about Kimbo Slice and Carrie Prejean was planted with the other spoilers, but we know some of the other information to be true, so we might assume that most of Russells info was correct, with the exception of a few easily identifiable bits of false information. In other words, when Russell told Missyae that Rob went to TC in EP 1, it was probably true, just the parts about Prejean and Kimbo were false. Jeff told us Phillip makes a bold move, but apparently it backfires. KB   Top

"Phillip" We have a decent idea who the first to be voted off are on each tribe and who'll face each other on Redemption Island on episode 3. The main question is, which one will hit the Island first? I'm thinking that the vidcaps point more toward Phillip and Robfadda's tribe heading there first, especially what I believe was a Jiffy Pop comment about the first TC and Phillip being spectacular... Alternate is Steph the firecracker.   Top

Francesca described herself as "determined, opinionated and stubborn." Two out of three of those words ought to send her packing - the third word isn't enough to save her. Plus, Rob is going to be looking to get rid of a woman first - they outnumber the men 5-4. So while Phillip is a popular choice, I think it'd be a bad move for Rob.   Top
